This was a great marina a few years ago. They had a great location with a pool and great food for all the members. Then they decided to build a restaurant and make members and the marina an after thought. The privacy at the pool is gone. Now they have a lunch and dinner tables all around the outside. The bar is so small, good luck getting a drink if the restaurant is busy. The food is decent but takes forever. They used to really have a nice set up for people that joined the marina but now it's just a restaurant and the slip holders are an after thought. Management has really gone down hill with the care they used to provide. Prices go up, there's never enough parking and the bathrooms are a joke. I'd recommend any other marina in the area over this one. Just look at the reviews. All of them are for a pathetic restaurant next door but are under the marinas name. It's like no one matters that's been a long time member of the Marina. It's all about the half assed restaurant. Great place that's gone to shit read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Our appetizer came out frozen and it wasn't taken off the check... only received a complimentary dessert. We then waited 2 full hours for a buffalo chicken wrap and Caprese salad. Both were disgusting and we couldn't finish either. The server acted like it was no big deal and just told us 'sometimes things happen'. The manager was running around apologizing to other tables the entire time because their orders were either wrong or taking too long. I'll never return to this restaurant. My husband and I came here for my first time, we both ordered a crush, crab pretzels and the balsamic fries. The food was really good, drinks were really good, the atmosphere was perfect. My only issue was that I kind of felt rushed and had only been at the high top table for about 40 minutes... besides that I had no problem... the salsa dancing was fun to watch, even danced a little. Went for lunch yesterday, a beautiful Sunday afternoon around 2. Rode our jet ski over and docked it right on the sand. That's where the fun ended. Beautiful beach and tiki bar but totally unorganized restaurant. Told there would be a 30 min wait even with several tables open. We ordered a beer from the tiny bar and stood waiting. Got a second beer, still the open tables sat open. When I questioned the hostess she said the kitchen was backed up. Thing is, they keep posting on Facebook come see us, specials etc. they shouldn't don't do that until they are fully staffed and ready to go. We've seen many other bad reviews on here and Facebook (which they deleted) so I'm afraid we won't be back until they can hire the right staff. It's a shame because it's beautiful but don't come quite yet until the fix the issues. Hopefully soon because I love supporting local businesses. read more

I have never in my life been more disrespected and treated as though my being did not mater as I did this am at this establishment. I took a job here to wait tables and I thought it would be a fun thing because why not, I have several days off in a row. Today there was an abundance of servers and no management had come in yet. No one by any means was doing anything wrong and for myself I was 45 minutes early. When the manager did arrive who is named Jon. He got out of his car, which by the way is a luxury vehicle and started to curse at the young staff members who probably are not older then 15 or 16 years old. He came in with a temperament that was unsurpassed and boarder-line psychotic for what was the situation. I did not know that if you were not doing exactly the right thing in perspective at the right time, it allows a manager to use several lines of profanity to young women and children. It was disgusting. I am sorry but I value all beings and I have held management roles in very stressful environments and never would I assume the right to disrespect any being based on my frustrations. Leaders are followed. Unfortunately, this human believes that corrections comes in a form of a place of anger and vulgarity. Beware of it is your child there for summer employment, I do not care what job you have in society, no one deserves the right to curse at you in such an aggressive and uncalled for fashion. The owner will be notified. When I spoke up and validated this being on his frustration and politely asked that he not speak to any of us in that fashion, there is no need ever to curse at young women and children over refilling ice and shinning up some silver. To be acknowledged some of the side jobs had already been completed, no acknowledgment. I was disgusted by this humans behaviors and I would not advise anyone to allow a teenager to work here, they do not need to every be disrespected in this manner. Also this human watched the cameras and then in a passive aggressive fashion singles out individuals in a harassment fashion. I know better, I also do this for fun and not my primary income. But these sweet co workers of mine that do it for a living or the children for a summer job bless them for having to tolerate this verbal abuse to support themselves. It was deplorable. read more

Stopped here over the weekend with five others. Quoted 30 min wait, but there was probably 10 or more tables open. Very small bar. Beach restaurant area is clean. There was a guy playing a steel drum. When we got there, there were patrons swimming. We got seated within 20 or so minutes and that's where this turns to two stars. Waitress was awful. Took forever to get drinks, kept having to remind her what drink belonged to who. My husband and I ordered two appetizers (crab pretzel sticks and jumbo wings), both over priced for what we got. The wings were not hot, not jumbo and lacking sauce and then portion of crab pretzel sticks for the price was small. My friends burger was not cooked as she requested but the sweet potato fries that came with that were yummy. I got a slice of cinnamon bun cheesecake to go. It was good but could have used more cinnamon. They also packaged it on paper, so it stuck to the paper which was super annoying. The waitress and service was super slow. It was obvious they let out food sit until it was all ready to come out because the couple sitting next to us who came 20 min after us got their food a good 10 min before we did. I really hope the owner sees this because they have a great little spot, they just need to seriously work out the kinks and hire people who want to be there. read more

Went on a Friday evening. The set up was great and we had high hopes. Unfortunately, the restaurant was completely disorganized, took over 2 hours to get food back from the kitchen and then it came out incorrect. Bar was super small and we ended up having to go up to the bar to order drinks because the service was slow. The entire experience was disappointing to the point of major frustration and we would have left if it weren't for enjoying the company of our dinner guests. The app that we ordered was frozen when delivered to us and to top it off we then waited 2 hours to get our actual entrees (a wrap and a salad) and they were so gross. Hands down some of the worst service ever experienced at a restaurant. The place had a beautiful atmosphere and the food was average. Our shrimp app came out in a timely fashion but also 3 soups were ordered that took 25 mins for one to come out after the shrimp app then the other 2 came out with the meals. Entrees ordered were 3 wraps a small house salad with steak and a large house salad. The small house salad was only iceberg a red onion ring and a few shreds of carrot. Mean while the large house salad was beautiful with spring green and veggies. Again same salad huge noticeable difference and no dressing came out for either. The soups then came out with our entrees that should have came out with apps had no spoons. Dressing came out about 20 mins after receiving our meals after asking twice. Again food was ok nothing special, we finally get our bill after asking twice. Of course the bill was wrong with 2 additional premiums alcohol beverages on it and a app we did not order. Through this whole process we got nothing but excuses from the waiter stating the "Kitchen was a mess" he was going to "yell at them again for messing up" and "computer issues" causing the extra item on our bill. Never once apologized or got a manager involved to maybe consider a better dining experience. I will be sure not to return any time soon and will advise others of our experience. read more

Based on previous reviews it appears that this place has gotten its act together. My wife and I went to dinner here last night and had a great experience. The food was a little slow coming out but everything else was great. Our waitress, Myanna, was fantastic and the overall atmosphere was great. It's not a beach bar scene, but more of a family beach restaurant scene which we appreciated over other local options. Two managers introduced themselves to us and asked if everything was going well. We will definitely be back and are hoping that they continue the level of service that we received. read more

Although they have one of the nicest atmospheres on Middle River, I would be hard pressed to go back here for dinner. We had a large group, 13 people. Service from the waitress seemed fine but the kitchen just does not have it together. After waiting 1 1/2 hours just for appetizere, we were told they lost the ticket!!!! We finally started getting the food after 2 hours of waiting. This was our second time here this year and the first experience was no better. I do have to say, some of our group gave up on waiting and went over to the pit beef stand that was there. Food at the stand was excellent! Unless you are going for drinks and pit beef.......don't waste your time. Such a shame since it is so pretty there. read more

This is a great location, and that's the best thing going for it. The service is horrible, and staff clueless. The food is ok. I had a crabcake which is ok. Crab pretzel sticks are delicious. We had beach seating, beautiful view. Staff didn't know which food went to which table. Appetizers came out right before the meal. Drink refills took so long, the ice was melted. Bathrooms must be for members because we were told we couldn't use them, and to use the makeshift trailer bathroom that had no running water in the sink. There was a family in the pool area, and we overheard one of the staff telling them that due to the fact there were some graduates that showed up and kept ordering chicken tenders, they were almost out, and he wanted to let her know, so she could get her order in. They just opened for the day, how could they be running out of food already? There weren't that many graduates. Nice location, just wish there was some kind of organization, better service. Marina and boating services excluded, this is just for the new restaurant. Awesome atmosphere, bar is way to small to handle the customers in a timely manner. Can't comment on food because we never got called. While watching the staff run around and many open tables we were told 45 min wait, ok. Several drinks later and an hour goes by no call. On way out told hostess and then we got the call when we got home, 15 min drive later. Very unorganized to an embarrassing extent, but when they get their act together, should be worthwhile. Went for the boat parade, which was great. Food was good, but hot chocolate was cold, waitress took forever. Finally after getting up and looking for the waitress we paid our bill so we could leave. We waited for the shuttle, which no one ever came. Shuttle vans were just parked with no one in it. We told several staff members and no one ever came came out. They were supposed to run until 12. We left at 10:30 had to call a neighbor to pick us up and take us to our cars. Very disorganized. This is not the first time we have had a problem here. read more

So I am a current slip holder that joined this year and wanted to provide some updated information on the marina. They have upgraded the experience, Wi-Fi availability throughout (my slip is at the end of the pier), an extremely friendly staff is there to provide help for novices like myself and a seriously upgraded club experience, with waterfront dining. And the boating community is great - they welcomed us with open arms and have been extremely helpful. Overall we are extremely happy with our move. read more

The dining on the beach with the palm trees and the canopies for shade and Island music in the background makes for a beautiful evening. However they seem to be terribly short-handed and Kitchen and Bar area is mismanaged.. the wait staff and the bus boys are very friendly but I believe that they are overwhelmed. We have been here twice the past two weekends and we have brought a party of over 10 people. I am being generous giving them 3 stars only because of the atmosphere is beautiful. they need to work on their service. we waited forever for food and drinks both times. We went back the second time hoping that they had fixed whatever problems they had the first time. It is a very beautiful spot and if they get the Staffing problem taken care of it could turn into a great restaurant with great service. The food is good when you can get it but it is a little bit on the pricey side for the quantity that you receive. The drinks are also pricey considering that you're only getting them in a little plastic cup. I wish them well working out all of the Kinks because it really is a beautiful spot read more

The previous reviewer must be talking about the previous owner! The new owner just took possession a couple weeks ago. There is no way she could know how the new owner will manage the marine! My wife and I have been at Long Beach for 8 years and love the location and the people. We talked to the new owner who seems very nice and he has talked of his plans for many improvements. So I have to rate being that this place has only got one star and that rating was from 2013. There are new management and they took on a huge renovation to make this place amazing. My wife and I came here for the first time on a whim. We were looking to eat near the water and so I found this place online and it "looked" good. Only two reviews should have been a clue. When we arrived we saw a lot of construction going on, so they were in the middle of something big. We followed signs to the dining area and entered a bar area slightly smaller than my master bedroom. All newly constructed with only about 5 or 6 high tops (which I absolutely hate) and some bar counter seating. We were the only folks there for a bit. We ordered soups (Md Crab and Corn/Crab Chowder). What we got was just horrible. The MD Crab Soup was a broth'less glob of crab soup goo with crab meat sprinkled on top. My wife said it tasted OK, but it was NOT AT ALL what we, and any normal Marylander, would expect from a Maryland Crab Soup. I was actually ashamed to say I was from MD after seeing this soup. I ordered the Crab/Corn Chowder which was also a glob of corn and potato in very little broth/cream and once again with crab meat sprinkled on top. It was sour tasting and just nasty. My wife ordered the Calfornia wrap which was rather small'ish but she seemed to enjoy it. The meal came with french fries which were piping hot and delicious. It says something when the fries are the highlight of the meal :). I order the Seafood Club which was excellent. It was an enormous, triple-decker sandwich with a crab cake and shrimp salad that could easily feed two. Also, the fries were crisp, hot, and tasty. So, the sandwiches made up a bit for what the soups lacked. Maybe they need more time to get things together??? But one thing that really bothered us was that there was an "assistant" there doing job interviews right next to us, which we thought was VERY unprofessional. Her name I think was Ashley and NOT ONE time in this very small eating area did she ever try to say "hello", "how are you", "how is your meal". She walked by us multiple times and nothing. I'm not sure what the issue is with this place, but my first impression will be my last because we are never returning. You only treat my wife rude once...no replays. We arrived on Sunday evening to see what the buzz was about. Had no idea this was a "private club". Walked up to the outside bar and got a rounds of drinks for ourselves and friends. Wife had to use the restroom, and here is where the problem starts. She was directed by someone there to walk to the side of the bar and enter the pool area to walk to the clubhouse. She was intercepted along the way and told she could go through, but next time she had to walk around. Sounds like a plan until you figure out that "walk around" means literally outside of the outer perimeter fence, on to a dark parking lot, and then back in. I don't think so. When she exited the clubhouse area and was walking back the way she came, intercepted again and told she had to walk around. According to her, the "manager" who intercepted her was so incredibly rude about this even after she tried to explain why she was uncomfortable with the idea of "walking around". This escalated to her asking him why he was being such an "a**" about it. Come to find out, he now asks who "we are here with" which is the first time we knew we were "sponsored" guests. The "manager" approached the slip holder, asked him if he "got the email", then told him he had until Friday to get his boat out of the marina. Are you kidding me? Listen, I've heard some really bad things about this place and all of them center around people treatment. I'm one to take it on the surface but find out for myself. Well, I certainly did find out. I will not comment on the food or any other part of the operations, but this "policy" of having people "walk around" is stupid, and the way the manager handled it was worse. I wish this guy would have told me to move my boat out, it would have been done the next day. No one should talk to anyone like that. Ownership is there to keep boats, not have some manager chase them away for things like this. People in Bowleys already have issues; this just adds credibility to what I have been hearing. So I was recently looking for a server job somewhere local on the bay . I was told this place was having an hiring event . First night i go to apply and they tell me I have to come back during the week just to fill out an application but when I filled it out I would speak to the guy who does the hiring , so i go fill out the application and didn't get to speak with the guy who does the hiring , was told to come back the next day because he was holding on the spot interviews . No one else was there to interview and was told he was busy loading boats , so i sat there for almost two hours to be told he was sorry but i was promised I would be contacted within 24 hours , of course that never happened . So I was told to go today which i couldn't find anyone in the office and the restaurant part is closed on Monday's . So i never actually had an interview with anyone and was just given the run around , 4 wasted trips here . It's sad because I'm a local , an incredible waitress and have a ton of friends and family who were considering , keeping their boats there and coming to try this new restaurant . Completely unprofessional, I can understand the restaurant being new , so I gave it a chance but this is just rude . read more
