It is a rare thing in this day an age when you deal with people that actually care about you "the customer". That said, I was also pleasantly surprised to hear the same great things repeated over and over again by the many others working on their boats and the live aboard people within the marina. If you are looking for a marina in this area make sure you give them a call.

There is a large covered area to keep out of the sun and plenty of shade from large trees. Drive, kayak or boat over for a fun, relaxing time. Well behaved, leashed dogs are allowed. There is a small sandy beach section where young children love accessing and playing in the water. Wednesdays afternoons offer a good time with either bingo, karaoke or painting fun. There are also a corn hole game there.

The bar is so small, good luck getting a drink if the restaurant is busy. The food is decent but takes forever. They used to really have a nice set up for people that joined the marina but now it's just a restaurant and the slip holders are an after thought. Management has really gone down hill with the care they used to provide. Prices go up, there's never enough parking and the bathrooms are a joke. I'd recommend any other marina in the area over this one. Just look at the reviews. All of them are for a pathetic restaurant next door but are under the marinas name. It's like no one matters that's been a long time member of the Marina. It's all about the half assed restaurant. Great place that's gone to shit

The live a boards in this Marina causes problems because they believe they have the authority to police the marina. Tom has raised the slips every year he has owned this Marina and if a slip holder asks why Tom becomes defensive and yells. However the docks and piers still need repairs and his main concerns are new bathrooms which are not cleaned or stocked on a regular basis. Tom is in for a surprise when he finds out how many of his long time slip holders are looking for a "new marina to call home"

Having had some work done on the boat back in…read morethe fall, and said mechanic having stolen my money and left my boat a mess, I was happy to see Old Bay Marina has a new guy available to do the work. I'm out $900 from Craig H who skipped town and left me high and dry (literally on the hard) without a working sailboat. Don Johnson to the rescue. Don was right on time with a drop time for my boat and had it in the water quickly while his parrot named Gabby rode along on his shoulder. It was then we discovered it wouldn't start. Can't motor over to the slip with no power. Don, Jarod, Stu and even Don's partner, Holly, sprang into action. A tug was needed. The wind picked up as we turned into the slip section. We were hitting boats, pylons, anything the wind could blow us into. Unfazed and determined, Don kept his cool and coordinated efforts to have everyone else, plus some other boat owners (thanks, Lisa and Joyce!), to help "walk" the boat into the slip. How stressful! Almost six hours, and 8 people to help, later, the boat was in and tied off. To add some excitement, our car was now dead and Don got right to work to give us a jump and get us out of there. I definitely owe this crew a case of Bud. Don is currently doing the work that Craig lied about doing and we should be on the Bay in no time. Thanks, Don Johnson! (Doesn't the Miami Vice theme run through your head when you read this?)

Looking for interesting people to chat with? Then this quite possibly is your kinda of place. The piers are not floating but generally there is not much of a tide. If you have a large keel you would need to be further out because there can be a depth issue closer to land. Brian the owner is a wealth of information! This is across from the former Beth Steel site but now is much quieter and much easier to breath. Give it a try!!!!

I stopped in there to schedule an appointment, and they asked if I could leave my car right then. That was awesome for me. They called me a couple hours later to tell me what the problem was and quoted me a price. A couple more hours and they called to tell me my car was done. That was awesome to me to stop in without an appointment and get my car fixed all in one day. They are all very nice and their pricing is very fair. I felt they were very honest and I would definitely use them again if needed. It was a very good experience working with them.

I came to them to find out what was wrong with my engine, although i got a…read morediagnostic from autozone and let them know they said i needed a MAF sensor, but they told me all it was, was the air filters and low oil codes popping up. Charged me $220, ok. Not even 2 full hours later of me driving around to do errands my engine light comes back on. Not only that within a week after me bringing my car to them, my car starts starting and not staying on. This happened 3 times within a span of a week. I got stuck in a garage because my car wouldn't start anymore and a guy my school sent out looked at my oil and said it was dark!! i brought my car BACK to bob's and they then charge me another $200 just to clean out a sensor but on the receipt it says they removed and replaced the sensor (lying on paperwork) and they said this was a new code to pop up. But when I brought my car to autozone before coming to Bob's, they told me the MAF sensor was the issue. Another 3 hours after driving my car from getting their service, my engine light turns back on. They have no respect for clientele and just want to ruin your car so you have to keep coming back to them. I have never been so dissatisfied in my life! Do not go here!

I was transferred to the manager he put me on hold several times and then came back stating no calls came from our business number. Well, we do not use the business number, we use our cell phones to make calls. He stated he did not have time to look up all the numbers, we should have kept calling. it has been over 30 days and they would not accept a return on it. We should not be penalized for them not doing their job! Do not do business with them! They say one thing and then do another. Very poor business practice!

The water and the view is beautiful, this is a great spot to hang out with friends or have some tranquil solo-time on the water. The location is conveniently located next to Charley's, it looks like a colorful, fun eatery, I will have to visit that next time I visit. Parking was easy. And the marina has clean, organized restrooms for guests changing out of their swim clothes. I highly recommend this place, I'll be back again soon !
