Long Beach ice has been the easiest way to pick up seven pound bags of ice in a very cost effective manner. They do have much larger bags of ice, block ice , and dry ice. Prices are below local stores. I have only done drive up, day of event pickups. Highly recommend read more

Perfect! Pull your car up to the dock, tell the guy what you want and he brings it out. $8 for a 40lb bag. Beats going to the grocery store, loading 37 bags into the cart, waiting in line, then loading the car up. Traffic on Cherry can suck sometimes, but if you come north bound, it's easier to get in because the place is on the east side of the street. They also do specialty ice, dry ice, crushed ice, etc. I believe they will deliver for big orders. read more

The folks at Long Beach Ice are amazing, especially Freddy and Peter. We ordered a snow delivery for Christmas Eve. When the weather forecast was for rain that night, Freddy was honest and explained how the rain would immediately melt the snow and allowed us to cancel the day before. When the forecast suddenly changed and no rain was predicted (on the day of delivery), Peter allowed us to reinstate our order and delivered the most amazing fun for everyone! read more

This place is the best, as I drove up it brought back a lot of memories of my childhood. I grew up in San Jose and before a long holiday weekend on our houseboat we would stop at the San Jose Ice company. This place looked just like that, cool dock you could drive right up to big freezer door, blue collar guys with work gloves on. They are also great because they are open 7 days a week and have great hours something like 6am-8pm. I needed a small block of Dry Ice and they happily brought me out a block and for only $10. I always come here to get my 300lb blocks of ice for carving. Joe(s) and team are very welcoming and very friendly. Gil, and Gavin are top notch, GIl is one of the best carvers I have seen and is very humble about it he always offers tips and invites me to carve with him. Gavin does a great job handling the office and also offers great advice. Anyone in need of ice, party supplies, or even an ice sculpture creation for their next event should head straight to LB Ice. Amazing company to work with on our large event with prompt and courteous service. Called numrious places and I had to leave messages, go through a phone tree or they had to get back to be on the price, or they simply did not do deliveries. Choose to have them do our event with over 250 guest. They have Long beach Ice co (locqted in Long Beach and Gardena) and US Crystal Ice (in Los Angeles). They answered the phone the first time, I gave them our order and got a price on the spot PLUS they deliver! They made the delivery just as promised. . Have been ordering ice from them for years and they are awesome in getting it delivered right away. The longest they have ever taken to deliver is about an hour and that was on a Saturday night. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars are because of the workers. They came running out when the guy in the front (manager, owner) whoever he was yelled at them. Mind you he was grumpy and had attitude with all the customers waiting in front. We understand their probably busy with this heat wave but learn customer service, it goes a long way. read more

Bought a 26lb block for a fishing trip. Didn't check it before paying and when I got home to pack the ice chest I found it had way too much air content. It is normal to have some air, but not permeating the whole block! This really shortened the life of the block in the ice chest. Learned my lesson: If you buy block from these folks be sure to check it for clarity before paying. read more

The ice company I booked in advance messed up my order which left me without snow for my daughter and nieces's frozen birthday party. I called Long Beach Ice and spoke with Fred.. he was friendly sympathetic to my dilemma and guaranteed to have snow in time for my frozen party that was to begin an hr later. As promised the driver arrived within an hr, he was courtesy and very helpful. I appreciate this company sooo much for making our daughters frozen winter-wonderland come alive.. will definitely use them in the future!! read more

Utilized this company for a 20 ton snow day for my school. Each time I would speak to them on the phone, the gentleman was short with me and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. For the day of the event, the manager had told me to arrive to meet them at the location at 6:30am sharp. Only 1 of 3 trucks arrived at 6:30am. That truck apparently could not get started working until the other trucks showed up. The 2 other trucks (including the manager) did not arrive until 7:10am. Why did I need to arrive bright and early at 6:30 if they weren't going to arrive until 7:10? I did not receive a phone call to notify me that they were running late. I was stressed and worried that they either weren't coming at all, or were going to arrive too late and not have enough time to finish the job before the crowds arrived for the event. I was afraid I was going to have to cancel my event last minute. This is terrifying when you have 200 children and parents excited and anticipating a snow day. When the manager did finally arrive with the last 2 trucks, not once did he acknowledge his lateness or apologize. I was briefed by our campus security that he had to ask one of the Long Beach Ice Co employees to put out a cigarette he was smoking. They were on the campus of a private Christian preschool + elementary school during business hours, smoking on the job while clearly they could see students and families walking past them arriving on campus for the school day. Unacceptable and unprofessional. On a better note, the snow was of good quality and the price was fair. read more

I actually called US Crystal Ice company but they said these two are the same company and since there is no yelp page for US crystal Ice company, I will just leave review here. I used to order Ice blocks from here (long beach) but I decided to call US Crystal because US crystal Ice company is much closer than Long Beach from my store. I called and asked for the rate of Ice blocks. I don't remember the name of the guy but he said he will check and call me back. He called back couple hours later and he said he will transfer me to other company with no reason. He also said the company that he was going to transfer me is in Artesia and when I asked why he was tranferring me to other company, his reponse was "I don't know. We are busy. Good luck finding ice" and hung up. That guy was really rude. When I called back next day to complain about this guy, they said they have no idea why that guy did that to me and was willing to help me to replace the order. It could be just that guy but there are plenty of ice companies in los angeles area and I don't think I will use this company anymore. read more
