Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. We utilized this company today for a last-minute ice delivery and ordered 320 pounds. The delivery arrived quickly, which I appreciated, and initially I saw this as a business we could rely on for future last-minute needs. However, when I called to pay the invoice, I was met with an unexpectedly rude and dismissive attitude from the person who answered the phone. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that I asked who I was speaking with and was told it was Freddy, who identified himself as the boss. Customer service starts at the top, and first impressions matter. While our delivery driver was professional and courteous, my experience with management left a very different impression. Respectful communication should be the standard, especially when interacting with customers who are supporting your business. Because of this interaction, I would not feel comfortable recommending this company to others or using their services again. In today's world, kindness, patience, and professionalism go a long way. Customers have many options, and I believe people should spend their hard-earned money where they feel valued and appreciated. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt it was important to share. read more

Super quick ice service! I needed some dry ice and regular ice for a 5 day camping trip. The service was quick and they were informative on how to store the dry ice and how to properly handle it. There's not too much parking so I had to park in the street and walk over with my cooler. I believe you have to purchase 10lbs minimum of dry ice. We got 10lbs of dry ice and a few packs of the party pack ice (regular cubed ice). Over 5 days of camping in 90 degree heat, we still had ice left and unmelted at the end of our trip! For future, I'll pick up some block ice to add on top of the dry ice and then add the party pack ice. Compared to market or store ice packs, the ice here is great price for the amount you get. read more

My son had a snow themed 1st birthday party. I called and spoke to Freddy and ordered what we needed. I also got an ice sculpture. Everything was amazing! They arrived at the promised time and ensured the snow and ice sculpture were perfect and would last on an 80 degree day in Los Angeles! Thank you so much to Freddy, Gavin, Fernando, Carlos and everyone who played a part in making my baby's day a success. You were wonderful! read more

Friendly fast service right in their driveway. Pull up your truck van or car in pick up whatever quantity of ice that you want. Before a camping trip, a party or special event, you can get great ice at a great price. We are so lucky to have this shop right here in our good old hood. You can't go wrong, going to Sportsman for watching your favorites team's game or just to hang out away from your girlfriend ot wife.

All the employees including the owner are always rude. Their employees do not reflect the community they serve at all if you know what I mean. It used to be worth going there to get cheaper ice. Now just rather go to Costco then deal with these a$$holes. read more

I live nearby and this was a convenient place to buy bags of ice, cheaper than Ralph's and 7-Eleven. Easy parking as well!

First time going to this establishment and truly felt uncomfortable and unappreciated. The workers here were very rude and unprofessional. There was no thank you once the sell was final and will not be going back . read more

I've contacted them quite a few times to save the day for a last minute ice delivery and they always arrive quickly with great service.

Quick service. They always have dry ice! Parking is limited but I got a space easily.

THEY DELIVER! i had no idea that they delivered. i was really trying to figure out how i was going to get 500lbs of ice to Anaheim. I called and spoke with Freddie. He seemed a lil rough when talking with him (he could have been busy) but he was very helpful. I told him what i needed, where it was going, and the time it needed to be there. Simple as that. i received a very reasonable quote over the phone. Friday before, i called to confirm. Freddie had all the information covered. Saturday they delivered and On Time! read more

Very helpful when my fridge went out. They made suggestions on how much dry ice would need. Came back the next day for more.

Friendly fast service for my need for dry ice. Pulled up to the dock and had what I needed right away.

Best hours service prices knowledge not too many options for dry ice before we had it in cerritos artesia off pioneer

Dry Ice, ice baby! Had to transport a cake in traffic for about an hour. Called and the gentleman answered immediately. He was quick, precise and courteous. We arrived about 10 minutes later and had that cake surrounded!! Pun intended. We actually had too much ice for the trip but the cake made it safely and stayed cool. The Ice house is O. G. Pre-1970's building. So it may be hard to see it. If you do a slow roll you won't miss it. read more

Bcuz I live in a very outdated city sometime the power is update or needs repairs due to accidents with electric poles. I come to LB Ice to get hot ice for my refrigerators to keep my food from spoiling due to the long amount of hours without power. Their service is quick and fast. They provide quality service and keep you informed on how to use the product. Will order whenever I need the product again. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would! My family called Long Beach Ice on 7/18/22 to inquire about dry ice, since we had a scheduled blackout and needed to be able to store our food safely overnight. The customer service was absolutely unacceptable! The man who picked up was extremely unprofessional and rude, responding to basic questions with sarcasm and obvious annoyance. He then suddenly put us on hold and never picked up the phone again. It's almost as if he doesn't want any customers! It goes without saying at this point that I have been left sorely disappointed and angered by the ill treatment we received by this business. It was enough for me to to come here and warn any future potential customer of the treatment you can expect from here. If you cannot treat people with basic courtesy or respect, then you should not be in business! We will never spend our money with you, and we highly recommend anyone out there to find more respectable establishments! read more

I needed 50 + pounds of dry ice about once a month for a medical treatment. I came here for the ice and every time they had it in stock and had good customer service. I'd just wheel up the ice chest and it was loaded up for me. They delivered when I needed the product, so an easy 5 stars. read more

I've been coming to Long Beach Ice for about 8 years now. Everytime I need something they are fully stocked, responsive, and provide great customer service. Post pandemic and this dry ice shortage brought me back recently. No one had dry ice and instead of driving around town, gave them a call, and guess who had dry ice? Yup. Dude was super helpful and proactively helped me solve a shortage problem. Thanks Long Beach Ice! read more

I figured a company and it's owners/employee would have some sense of professionalism. However I was completely wrong!! I called over the phone to get a quote for an ice delivery for over 500lbs of ice. But the guy that was answered the phone was extremely rude, a Smart ass and sarcastic over the phone. I know my business isn't going to be missed by them nor will it impact them in anyway. However I think people should be aware of assholes that work and operate this business. Don't spend your money here!! read more

Very cool guys! I needed to buy Ice to take to the animal shelter on a hot day and they helped make it happen. Super nice. Helped load it. All around incredible experience definitely have a lifelong customer here! read more

Is it strange that I'm this excited about an ice store? You drive your car up to the loading dock, bust out your empty coolers and get all the ice you need within minutes. We got great customer service by the ice man (haha, no Top Gun reference intended) who offered expert advice on the best bags to buy and how to transport and store them. If you only get massive amounts of ice once or twice a year, it's not intuitive so it was great to have such good service! Not only is it convenient as you barely have to leave your car, but prices are like half what you would pay at a grocery store. 7 lbs for $1.50, 20 lbs for $4. But the best thing about this place is that they sell pre shaved ice in huge bags so you can make snow cones at home... Or even create a winter wonderland. Seriously, we asked and the ice man told us they do private parties where they can fill your backyard with a six foot deep, 25 by 25 foot layer of snow. They do children's birthday parties... And they even bring the snow up to the valley! read more

I scheduled 2 deliveries for an event I was having in Venice Beach at the basketball courts and the process could not have been more seamless. From scheduling the delivery, to the driver arriving on time, to the delivery driver filling the multiple coolers I had onsite, to cancelling the second order (I over estimated) and getting refunded for the cancelled order same day. Danny and his team were amazing and made the entire end to end process so easy. It saved me time, energy and took logistical planning off my plate and I am so grateful. Cannot recommend this company enough! read more

The owner (old dude) is the absolute worst. Not friendly, always in a bad mood, talks to people with disrespect. I honestly can't stand that fool every time I had gone. Completely stopped patronizing this business after having multiple incidents with him. read more

Very upset with the owner. I went to park and the owner told me to move my car (in a very rude way) so his employee can park there. This was public parking by the way. I was looking for dry ice but went to Smart & final instead The prices are a lot cheaper and sell by the pound. This crappy place charges more and 10 pound minimal order only. read more

This ICE location has the best buy for your ICE needs. The price for the ICE is very reasonable and the quality is exceptional, the ICE doesn't melt rapidly like other brands. The staff are very attentive, right as you exit your vehicle they ask you how many do you need, very fast and efficient. I highly recommend this place for ICE...Two Thumbs Up! read more

Avoid this establishment at all costs. My company has been buying 200-400 lbs of ice each Monday for the past 6 months or so. Every week we are treated as thought we are a nuisance and they are doing us a favor by selling us ice. Seems as though they would rather focus on their delivery service so why not just close to the public all together? Honestly don't know how they have stayed in business this long when they are rude and yell at their customers. Wont be going back and will source our ice elsewhere. Hope the old man enjoys the visit from OSHA as well! read more

Absolutely horrified by the customer service I received by Matt. 100% won't be returning to this establishment.

Do you wanna built a snowman...?! Jk Came here because I need dry ice for my long weekend trip to Yosemite, it'll keep the food and drinks nice and cold. It was quite the wait as there was a man in the office on the phone not noticing me at all. Stood there for a bout 5mins long til the other workers came out of the freezer. Pay and left. They except cards and cash.. read more

We needed dry ice for our Halloween party and the grocery stores were sold out but Long Beach ice had plenty. Next time I need dry ice or bulk ice for a party I'm going straight to Long Beach Ice. Awesome place to get ice or dry ice . They should fix their hours on the website. They close at 8 every day now because of COVID-19.
