This ranch is spacious, gorgeous, and there is plenty to do: swimming pool, volleyball, basketball,…read morefishing, shooting, game room, and more. That's where the praise stops and the only reason this place got any stars at all. The beds advertised as "five star accommodations" were noisy and outrageously uncomfortable. I slept on an air mattress with my five year old by choice rather than spend another minute on their sad excuse for a bunk bed. The pool was dirty and the hot tub didn't work. Now down to the real problem: the rancher himself. Our family paid a good deal of money to hold our annual reunion here and we were allotted no privacy whatsoever. This guy walked right into our dining room first thing in the morning, without even knocking, to lecture us, and then walked out through the back entrance which is down the hallway where there are showers and bedrooms! Women and children were showering and changing down that hallway! Also, his office was in our living area (where teenaged girls were sleeping!) and there were monitors showing that we were being watched via camera that we were not made aware of. On our very first day we were told not to leave trash anywhere or we would be fined (understandable, but it gets worse), he told my eight year old son not to talk to him about a "damn cat", he told my teenaged cousins he would "beat them" if they broke some rule he had explained, and we were told not to go shooting without him or he would shoot us. Wow, buddy, there's a way to talk to people and that isn't it. Then, after being threatened with fines over paper cups and bottle caps, he left out a razor tipped arrowhead in his garage which my eight year old found with his foot. I got neither apology nor ownership, even though no one in our party had even brought arrows to hunt. Needless to say, we will never, ever stay here again and I recommend you not to either. Advice to the rancher, don't rent out your facility if you aren't willing to leave your guests a little peace and privacy!
