I didn't have super fancy expectations. It was camping after all. I did expect a clean area to sleep. The bathrooms were terrible. We reported one needed immediate attention, and it still was inoperable when we checked out on Sunday. The shower were out of order by 6 pm on Saturday when our party needed to use them. I was almsot afraid to use the restrooms by Saturday night. The port a potty was cleaner. There was no staff on site to ensure the guidelines were being followed. We paid the required car fee for all vehicles only to have our parking taken by day campers that didn't pay. Trash from Saturday wasn't picked up until Sunday morning. Buzzards helped spread it around. The tents were extremely close and they day canana renters were app placed closest to the water. We paid $600 for 2 nights only to be pushed aside for the 10am-6:30pm guest. read more

I rented a Cabana on Sunday (6/5/22) for a couple's outing with our close friends. Overall, great experience and we had a ton of fun. It's definitely something we would book again. I could see a Saturday being crazy busy and It was enjoyable not having people everywhere. We were able to check in a few minutes early, but one of the young ladies was way more helpful then the others. They asked how many cars we had and I told them, and then I was told we would have to pay more for the extra cars, which we already did. Cons: - the cabanas are very close together - one parking spot per cabana isn't much considering everything you need to bring. - we had no cell service, so navigating with the rest of party was a challenge. But there is Wi-Fi - the tents are very close to the cabanas. I wouldn't enjoy it much. - check-in wasn't straight forward. One person said they could look it up by my number, another said they needed to see the waivers on our phone. Not having service made that a challenge. Pros: - the place is very clean - staff is nice - each cabana has amble places to sit and everything is well kept - easy access to water - scenic - reasonably priced - bathrooms and showers Recommendations: - more oversight on the water, people were littering even though staff gave out water proof trash bags. - definitely look at the map prior to booking - read the website and bring everything you may need. There really anything but electricity available. read more

Went on a Monday to not deal with the weekend river crowds and enjoyed our day in the cool Guadalupe river. Kids spent time on the water and my parents got their 1st Texas tubing experience. Check in was a breeze and we were shown our canopy area that was right on the water. It was a perfect spot and a cloudy day, so score! People next to us were staying in the glamping tents and said they were perfect for their small boys. Next time I will truly enjoy the experience and get to drink on the river, instead of having to drive home! The crowds were scarse, but they still jammed us all in cabana's next to one another instead of spreading us out. That was the only downside to feel crammed on an uncrowded day, but the others around us were nice. read more

We were there this past weekend, Sept. 27-29, 2024, celebrating a birthday and had so much fun!! The grounds are kept really clean, as are the tents/beds we stayed in. When we arrived we were greeted by Olivia and I honestly can't say enough nice things about her. She went above and beyond by helping us when we got there, checking up on us throughout the stay and always having a cheerful disposition. There's no way I would ever stay anywhere else!! I just returned from Son's Ranch Guadalupe a few days ago and this vacation spot definitely goes down as an all-time favorite. The location is beautiful and just a few feet from the river. Although you are glamping nearby other people, the cabanas are spacious and give you plenty of privacy and shade (tip, bring a cheap box fan and you will have the perfect breeze in your cabana). I don't think you can find a better spot on the river with that much privacy anywhere else for an affordable price. The tents are spacious and, at night, I had to sleep with a blanket and was comfortably cold. Also, the beds were perfect. No sore back unlike some hotels and VRBOs I have stayed at. The tents do heat up during the day but who cares? Wouldn't you rather be outside enjoying the scene and cool river? Also, the restrooms/showers are air conditioned, individualized and private which was a plus. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and laid back. Myself and 13 of my friends and family members all had an amazing 5 day glamping river trip and we cannot wait to return! read more

We are giving the place 4/5 stars only because of the flies that were all over whenever food was opened. The grounds were very clean. The bathrooms were cleaned. We were very impressed with that. The people were so accommodating. The tents were also very clean. We were very impressed with the whole place and would stay there again. The stage area was closed down since Covid I think that should be brought back. It would only add to the positives of the place. I understand there are larger grounds, But I rather the smaller one. Ok so booked a tent for two nights not knowing the table 2 feet in front of tent is not included??!! We have to be out of the tent by 10am to make room for people who booked the table for day use. We are not allowed back to the tent til 7pm??!! No one returns calls or emails to try & discuss matter. The tents are way too close to each other, like 5' in between, so really no privacy. I just wanted to say Thank you for a great time! The tents were huge!! They have stand up a/c units and a high power fan! Super cool every nite.... and when we would get back from the river after a hot day it was soooo nice! The cabanas were awesome... lots of chairs for rests and grills! They also have fire pits! We floated the river two days.... great float! Came back each day to out water tables and relaxed! They have chairs and grills as well as fire pits right at the water as well. The staff was very informative and extremely helpful with anything we had questions about! They have 6 individual trailers for Shower/sink/toilets. They are kept clean all day and nite. As well as port a potty's if you need them. The vans were always available to use for dropping off at the float site. The young men that were there were very friendly and helpful! We were very impressed with Mr Tyler Coutee and staff doing our visits at Son's Guadalupe. The golden rule of treating others as you want to be treated was instrumental to the success of the team and the daily operations of doing the right thing impressed us so much we thought Mr Tyler was the owner. So, I personally asked him if I could help do something to help out in temperature above 105° with a small team but they were very committed to making sure customer satisfaction was top priority. He politely stated, we got it sir, have fun and enjoy your day with the family. So, Mr Tyler started cutting the grass around the property and I love yard work, so I offered my service repeatedly and after the 4th time asking and I was happy to finished yard service on the property. I served 25 years in the military and after I witnessed hard work ethic and teamwork i wanted to do something to show how much we appreciate feeling safe and to know that my family was in good hands. We stay in contact with Mr Tyler all time the time. Your leadership ability and people skills is key to keeping customers satisfaction and repeated customers. Thank you and God bless read more

WARNING!!! I apologize for the long read but you need to be aware!! I would give the staff (Matt, Omar and the young ladies in the office) 5 stars!!! They were all very helpful and pleasant! As for the the reservation I would give 0 stars if it were an option! I booked a glamping tent from Tuesday through Friday because I spent my childhood at this property when it was owned by Johnny and Judy Bezdek! I requested to add 2 additional days before I realized the air conditioner will not keep the tent cool throughout the day. The tent averaged about 87 degrees during the day and you couldn't cool off in the tent until about 2am. I called to cancel the 2 additional days and the reservation desk told me they would not cancel because of the policy of canceling within 7 days. Keep in mind that I called them less than 24 hours of the additional reservation. The guy on the phone said I would have to call the next day because they are not taking calls at this time for my issue. I called right after 4pm. Management is only available between 10am and 4pm. My husband and I ended up leaving Friday due to being completely unsatisfied with the company and their ridiculous policies!! The tents are no more than 3 ft from each other with broken zippers. They will book a cabana right in front of your tent and they have the right to ask you to checkout unless you have booked a cabana or table in the water. You can check back in after 7:30. They are under staffed expecting 2 to 3 people to be able to work the office, keep up with the facilities, and shuttle people for tubing... READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION/RULES BEFORE BOOKING!! I will not be returning after this experience!! read more
