I took it to Jay and a day later it was ready and was as clean as brand new. Jay has been working on Kirbys for 40 years and really knows his stuff! He hand washed the outer cloth bag. Installed a new belt and cleaned other parts. The price was extremely reasonable and I couldn't be happier! Really nice shop. This is one of those places where you never knew they've been around for a while but you're glad they have been. Busted a small screw on our Tineco that they were nice enough to fix & pop back into place free of charge. Have gone to this location several times for incidentals which I later found I can get the exact same off Amazon. I have a Simplicity, which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, but was told here they were "going out of business." Believed it and well OVER PAID for a Riccar vacuum - $725+. Have NEVER spent that much and WON'T EVER AGAIN! Not worth the money; REALLY HEAVY vacuum; HORRIBLE, can't do stairs. The so-called brush attachment is about as useless as it gets - doesn't do ANYTHING but suck! Last time I made a visit to the store, a NEW MODEL Simplicity vacuum was on the floor! But hey, they are still going out of business - YEAH RIGHT! They have expanded their line and can be found on Amazon for almost $400 LESS than a Riccar. Simplicity IS a much better vacuum! Really lightweight; multiple attachments and the best suction of the many vacuums I have had to include and above the $700 Riccar! Some think Simplicity is not made well because it is so lightweight. That is one of the BEST benefits of all. Take it from a vacuum-aholic. Will shop Amazon for what I need going forward. read more

The very high ratings of this shop are well deserved, based on my experience. It is difficult to find a store that specializes in vacuum cleaners and repairs these days. Most repairmen repair all appliances, which doesn't guarantee that they are as well equipped to deal with vacuum repairs. Owner misquoted me for a new vacuum on phone. We went to purchase couple days later. Another gentleman told me price is $299 not $199 so he called owner and he honored the price. UPDATE Nov 2020 Return visit to put power head back together. I had gotten nylon sewing thread wrapped around beater roller (don't ask). I got it removed after much disassembly of power head (don't try it at home lesson learned) but couldn't get it back together. So I returned to store for their help. While there I checked with sales staff on vacuum settings, change of filters etc to best use of equipment. Most helpful. OooRah! Got a great deal last year (2019) on new vacuum. My old brand had gone out of business and repair/replacement parts just not available. Sales staff was very informed about pro/con of which type best for met. read more
