Upon entry i notified hostess of condition of bathroom (garbage all over floor and no toilet paper in stalls), after sitting with family for over hour and a half we went to use bathroom before our ride home and it was still in same condition. Friday 4:50pm, we are a family of 5, 2 boys under 11, a 4 year old girl, me and my wife. We are the second family lined up out of three so, it was not too busy. It took 15 min. for the server to greet us with a "free" snack of oil dripping and tasteless corn chips with an out-of-a-can tasting tomato sause (no lime, no onion or cilantro) but hey, its "free". We tell the server we are ordering right away (as we feel at the speed things are rolling we better get food cooking). Boys ordered chicken fingers with fries, my girl a burger (kids menu) and fries, my wife ordered the stake fajitas and I only ordered a Modelo beer because I always eat the left overs and try a bit from everyones food. The drinks for everyone arrive 10 min. later which is okay. I don't know what a reasonable waiting time before food is served to most people is, but for me I won't make a judgment before 30 min. on a Friday, but this restaurant is not that busy as there are tables around ours completely free and clean, and because we are sitting by the window close to the main entrance I know there is no lineup, I see no one waiting. At 45 min. after ordering my kids are trying to lay down in the bench, bored, complain they are hungry. Me and my wife look at each other and we know is time to do something so I try to make eye contact with the server with a polite smile, but I can't because he won't come to our end of the room and he is not looking up either. At the one hour mark after ordering me and my wife are considering just leaving (leaving enough cash to cover the drinks of course) but I see a man walking towards our table, looks like he might be a manager or assistant. He apologizes for the delay, not giving a reason as to why it has been so long as he repeats a few times that the order has been "punched in" and is a matter of minutes now before the food comes out of the kitchen. After his brief 20 second monologue he leaves, no other interaction, no conversation or any other human touch, just leaves. The food arrives 10 min. later. My wife's rice is crunchy, is not completely cooked, but is only a small container on the periphery of the plate so she just pushes it aside. My boys chicken fingers are these dry balls of crunchyness half-fat half-chicken (I hope) the size of an apple, just gross, and the fries are equally horrible, like they were powdered with spices from the dollar store, Macdonalds style fries would have been really better. They were all hungry so the food went in anyways and I finished the left overs like always, that was 2 extra dry chicken balls and half hard-thick-spongy bun burger. But things get better. The kids meals come with a dessert, we think is better to order the churros in a box to go and ask for the bill right away but, no one comes or checks with us for another 30 min. after finishing our food. We finally ask a hostess for the bill and explain we want the dessert to go in a box. A different server comes by to pick up the dishes and aks if everything is okay. We explain we just want the churros for the kids in a box and the bill as we point to the hostess who had also been told the same thing, the hostess notices that we are pointing to her and she and this new server look at each other in agreement that they both know we just want the churros and the bill so we can leave and he says no problem. The original server finally comes another 10 min later to acknowledge we want the churros in a box and the bill when at that moment one of my boys best friends is been sat right next to our booth. My wife starts a conversation with the mom who showes us pics from her older son travelling in Guatemala and Mexico etc. After all, the evening starts to feel better with this social interaction. The exchange came to an end, having exchanged the latest kids news from school and all that travelling talk. They are now looking at their menu and me and my wife look at each other thinking, what are we still doing here? Well, all that social interaction must have been at least another 15 min. After we had ask for churros in a box to go and the bill it had been ONE HOUR at least. I told my wife and the kids to put their coats on and wait for me in the car, dad is going to do the dad thing and request a manager pronto. They all put their coats on and exit the restaurant. I check that we have not left anything on the bench or under the table as I'm standing alone now putting on my coat when the server shows up and asks me if I've got the churros for the kids, I calmly said no, he says "I'm so sorry I'm a little bit disorganized today" he says that it had been 25 min. since he "punched in" the order and he doesn't know whats going on. I say nothing to see how is he going to solve the situation and he only says well... as he sets up his terminal with $84 to pay. I said "well, go see one last time if the churros are ready". Fantastic as always...but. Let me start by saying this might be our favourite restaurant of all time. The fact that they have one in Orleans now is proof of a higher power. The place is nice inside too, like real nice. Open, clean modern. TVs everywhere. Service has been great every visit so far. The food, well I'd like to tell you everything is good but I'd be lying. They make the best fajitas I've ever had, (Yes I've had fajitas in Mexico). So I've never really tried anything else before. Actually I got a chimichanga one time before I knew any better and it was great also. This time we were a party of 10 and got two fiestas which ended up being more that enough food for our party. Granted two of them were small children. I still had a great leftover portion to take home. Phoenix was our server and he did a fantastic job really. Now here comes the but. We called to make a small change to our reservation when they opened at 11:20 on Sunday and were hung up on at least 3 times. Phone picked up with noticeable background noise with people talking then phone disconnects. Once ok. 3 maybe 4 times seemed pretty deliberate to me. Our reservation change ultimately couldn't be accommodated and that's ok considering how busy it was. Now we will always come back cause everything else is top shelf. We actually order food from here often, but our last visit was very disappointing. We know the staffing issues and the delays. However, I arrived just before the scheduled pickup time because they have been ready quickly in the past. They said they were packing my order and were waiting on one item. To help with the people wanting to get their order, I said I would wait outside to process the other orders and move things along (only 2 are permitted inside). I went back inside after 20 mins to see what was the holdup, I was told it was almost ready. After 30 mins, I got my order and went home. Unfortunately, the food was cold from the 30 min wait, we had to microwave the food and there were items missing. I called the restaurant to let them know what had happened, to which Magic (the manager's work name) apologized and said they would like to offer a gift card to make up for the wait, cold food and the missing items. This location opened last week and is a welcome edition to Orleans. We stopped here for lunch today. This place just opened last week and is brand new. There are booths, table and Chairs, high tables and chairs, and a nice bar area. The decor is very nice and pleasant. There were plenty of friendly staff to welcome you when you enter. We were seated at a booth for four. Our server was Lucky, and she was friendly and nice. I ordered their chicken fajitas which came sizzling and were very good. They did take a while to come from the kitchen after ordering, which is understandable for a new restaurant, with all new staff. It should not take them long to get into the grove, and cook and deliver the food to tables faster. Over all, I was satisfied with our visit and would have received 5 stars if the food came from the kitchen a little quicker. I will be back. read more

Ordered takeout online at 12:30 for 6:15 pickup this weekend. Spend $250 on takeout from the restaurant. Waited TWO HOURS in line to pickup my takeout order and I didn't receive everything I ordered. I've been trying to get in touch with the restaurant, to no avail. I went in to the restaurant to ask for a refund as I didn't receive all my items, and waited TWO HOURS in-line outside to pickup an order I placed at 12:30 the same day, I was told "you got your food, what's the big deal. It was busy that day". I am so disappointed in LoneStar. My family and I love their food, but the service is absolutely disgusting. We spent a healthy chunk of change to support one of our favourite local restaurants and that's the thanks we get. We won't be back. When we asked about when we will be able to order drinks the hostess went to get our waiter. Apparently he was on break and the girl that seated us did not tell him). I put us on the wait list at 6:02pm, we were a party of 5, I was advised to be there to check in at 6:52pm (which we did) and then we proceeded to wait and wait and wait until we were finally seated at 7:37pm. There is very limited space to sit to wait. Once seated the service and food were the only reason I gave it a higher rating otherwise I would have only given it a rating of 2. Extremely disappointed- I tried to make reservations for our party 4 days before hand which was supposed to be on a Saturday night. I was told they were fully booked for reservations however if I was to download the Yelp app and add our party to the wait list prior to coming in we didn't have to sit in the restaurant to wait for a table. We could watch to see how close we were getting to the top and come in when our table was almost ready. We live outside Orleans so thought this would be a good idea. We left our house around 4:10pm and I was keeping tabs on the wait through the app. It said under 5 minutes the whole drive there but I thought I would put us on the wait list since I have two small children with me. We didn't want to have to wait too long. On the app, when asked how long until our arrival, I put 15-30minutes. I specified that we have 6 people in our party, but will require 2 high chairs. We arrived exactly 20 minutes after I put us on the wait list and hoping to get a spot not too long after we arrived. The hostess checked us in and said it will be a bit of a wait. When asked how long she had to speak with a manager. She came back and told us 45 minutes to an HOUR! HOW!? Your app said the wait was under 5 minutes the entire ride into Orleans!? This app is useless and so was the restaurant at accommodating a party with kids. Thanks Lone Star for letting us down. The app was absolutely of no use to us!
