TLDR: broken glass, incorrect orders, customer service lies, website doesn't work properly, have to file chargebacks. Be warned - this is not a professional company. First, their shopping cart hasn't worked properly since they made some updates last year. When I try to place an order it says make address is incorrect (it's not). When I emailed customer service they acted like it was only happening to me. But when I called to place my order, they informed me it was happening to a lot of people and that customer service was lying to me. Sorry but I don't shop with liars and those I can't trust. And I don't want to have to call every time I need an order. I often order at night...on weekends...etc. Plus I want to verify that my order is correct myself and not rely on someone else. I've ordered glass from them, but when I do, it's never bubble wrapped. I've spoken with customer service and the assured me they would be more careful with shipping glass (lying, liars gonna keep lying). Last time I ordered glass it came in a giant box with 1 loose sheet of paper inside. That type of packaging will cause MORE damage because it allows the interior box with glass to rattle around. So half of the wrong size candle vessels (yes wrong size because I had to place my order over the phone instead of via website) was broken. I've discussed with customer service that it's really dangerous to ship glass incorrectly because then your customers are forced to handle broken glass. When I emailed them to notify of the damage, they didn't email me back. I've emailed 3 times but haven't been emailed back so now I have to file a chargeback. In the past, when I've emailed customer service I have received phone calls?? Which is crazy. I'm in an out of meetings all day. I don't have time for your call - that's why I emailed. If a customer emails you - email them back. If a customer calls you answer the phone. DUH. But it's clear that their customer service is just full of lying liars and this company is not professional. read more

Ive ordered from this company in the past with no issues. Great smelling fragrance (Coconut Hibiscus), I didn't receive the correct amt. I ordered 4oz, received 3oz. All my fragrances that I received had a different weight. Customer service clearly doesn't understand English, explained this in a email and called. I weighed the oil on my scale to verify. I explained this not once but twice. I will not be ordering from your company again. See email pic from customer service, which makes no sense. Has nothing to do with what I ordered at all. If I order 4fl oz that's what I need to receive, not 3oz, PERIOD. The photo she took all had different levels, I will post those pics as well. Tip: Make sure you are accurately weighing all you oils before sending to a customer. The honest thing to do. I own a small business @noirvedanaturals, travel alot @glampedlife and work my career field job. I have absolutely no time to go back and forth about 1oz of oil. They make a great product! I was going to order some fragrance oils online, but was unsure if I wanted Almond, Ameretto, or Almond cake (also, what does "High Maintenance" smell like?). Want to make a candle that smells like Egyptian Cotton? How about pistachio latte? Or even weed? Seriously, they'll have any scent you want, and didn't know you wanted. It's annoying they're only open during 9-5, M-F, so I had to sacrifice some of my working time to come here. I tried to look for alternatives during the weekend, but all similarly situated local stores were also all closed weekends! If one of these suppliers could open on a weekend, that would be awesome. NONETHLESS, the first time I went, they were pretty busy! It's basically just one wall of sample scents. Write down what you want, and their friendly employee will type it in and it will get it prepared and boxed for you. The weather was pretty bad today, and we were the only ones in there. Prices are muchmuchMUCH better than Michael's, where a pack of four 0.5 mL candle scents goes for $12, and here you can get an ounce of anything for less than $10. Lone Star, while not close to my home, is worth the 1 hour+ drive! An amazing selection of fragrances, the new showroom is spectacular and the staff is constantly asking what they can do to assist you. I see some of the negative reviews mentioning broken items or wrong orders and want to point out nobody is perfect! Any issues that have come up have been quickly fixed and made right. Also, complaining about discounts or pricing is ridiculous. Negative reviews on these guys must be coming from negative individuals! Prices are ridiculous for Oil Fragrances in smaller sizes. I wanted the 8 oz., but they don't carry it and they won't sell two 4 oz. sizes at any discount. They also measure by weight and not volume. These people are in it for money, not a friend of the hobby or little people trying to get started. Even their starter kits are filled with wrong size wicks and not well thought out. I wanted to try out making candles with some of my friends/family. I've never been to a place like this before and all of the employees were super helpful! I had no idea what I was doing and the employee at the front desk was able to walk me through the main products I needed. Being able to smell all the scents is a plus! I would say the scents are pleasant and have a good throw. The prices are better than what you would find at craft stores and I believe the scents are good quality. Will definitely be back! Erykh was so helpful! Her front office customer service from beginning to end was fantastic! I walked in and she was helping two other customers and I watched threw the window as she personally loaded each customers car and each customer had about 50 pounds worth of material! She then came back into the office after being in the 100° heat to politely take my order. She carried the whole order out to my car and I was able to catch her half way and grab the 45 pound box from her. I have started a candle company. I had never been here before. I was in there 40 minutes not that I expect someone to help me but I was not greeted or asked if I needed help of any kind. I came to the counter and started asking questions. The lady at the desk to the very right when you walk in was outstanding. When I had a few other questions I went to ask the lady at the desk to the left because I did not see the other lady. She literally acted as if I did not exist. She was very unwelcoming. She was then in the lobby and I had a question and she had a snobby attitude. I honestly don't know if I will be back or not. Placed an order with Lone Star for the first time. Ordered sample sizes for trial candles. After I had placed my order through their site ( all was correct). I got an email confirmation. Only to see four samples were not what I'd ordered. Called their customer service. Phone rang forever (no VM). Finally got someone. Told her the problem. She said she'd never heard of anything like that. Asked what I had ordered , Said I was willing to pay the difference (of course). She said "No". Got my order today . And it had NOT been changed. I ordered CB Advanced from Lonestar Candle Supply a couple of days ago. Actually, I had ordered Q210 and they called me to tell me that they didn't have it at the last minute and asked to sub CB Advanced in. I needed it so I had to. It arrived last night. Instead of being in granular form as I am used to, it is a solid block of wax. I chiseled and hacked and smacked this 45 lb block for hours last night and barely made a few small candles from the wax. Prefacing this, I want to say that I did not receive this box until mid-November, according to this email that box had been sitting on their shelves for months! Customer service was not super helpful: Unfortunately, due to the extremely low melting point of that wax, it is very common for it to melt together during transit to and from our facility. The last shipment we received of this wax came just before the summer time so it is likely that it melted together whenever it was shipped to us and/or in our warehouse. We keep the waxes in a climate controlled room but it can still get pretty warm back there during the Texas heat, especially this summer where we saw temperatures well over 110 degrees! Our next shipment of this wax will be coming in the Fall/Winter so it is likely that it will not be melted together the next time you order it. Unfortunately, we cannot accept partially used bags of waxes for sanitary purposes. The good news is that there is not anything wrong with the wax, you may just have to be a little rough with it to get it to break up. I would recommend breaking it up by banging it on a table or countertop or by using a putty knife to cut chunks of it off. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else. Eventually, they offered me $15 for all of the time that it might take me to break up the wax. I had already spent hours trying. How much is your time worth? If you are thinking of buying large amounts of wax from them, don't do it. read more

Alisha helped me as soon as I got in. I have a lot of anxiety driving on highways and interstates but I decided to pickup at location instead of shipping to save on shipping costs. My order that was ready for pickup was found quickly. I had placed another order that wouldn't be ready until the next morning but I asked if there was any chance it was already done so I wouldn't have to make a second trip the next day. She informed me that orders probably haven't been pulled for the next day yet but still went to the back to check. After a few minutes I could tell it wasn't but instead of coming back and saying no she automatically went and put my order together. I really appreciate her taking the time to do that. Nowadays people really would just make you come back when it's due. They have a vast inventory of fragrance oils, containers, waxes, etc... but they truly lack in the cuatomer service department. I never even get a "hello" when I walk in. I have bought from them for 3 years now, but only go there for wax now since I have found better candle supply companies in the area. Their public restroom is always untidy. They cannot seem to keep the same office staff for longer than 6 months...always new people in there who seem more interested in their phones than the customers. read more

Lone Star Candle Supply has some of the worst custmer service I have ever had to deal with. I purchased some glass jar containers for a wedding order. The wedding was desperate for some candles on short notice so I had to order the jars with two day shipping. The day after placing my order I received an email saying my order had shipped. The next day when I tried to use the tracking number provided UPS said that number didn't exist. I didn't know what to think so I called Lone Star and talked to some of the someone who sound like they could care less about my order. When I gave them my order number the women told me my order hadn't even shipped. I couldn't believe it. I paid extra for two day shipping, and yet my order was going to arrive till 6 days later. That doesn't sould like two day shipping to me. When I asked why my order hadn't shipped she told me We had a computer glitch which caused your order not to be shipped out. I told her I paid for two day shipping to make sure the jars arrived in time for a wedding, and she preceded to tell me there was nothing she could do. It was a computer glitch. She did not offer any compensation for their mistake. When I asked if they could overnight the order to me to make sure I got my order by the time I was orginially supposed to she told me that was impossible unless I would willing to pay an extra $130. So basically Lone Star Screwed up and I ended up having to pay an an extra $130 just to get my package on time. Lone Star did not offer anything to help make up for their mistake. Clearly they don't care about their customers, and I will never do business with them again. Anyone interested in doing business with Lone Star should NOT they will take your money and just leave you hanging. read more

I started making candles a couple weeks ago. My first order went out a day late but I didn't complain. I order my second shipment about a week ago. People are waiting for candles they have ordered from me. I called three days after I ordered the supplies because it was still unshipped and they are only supposed to take 2 day maximum for processing. It wasn't a big deal I just wanted to know why it was late. The lady put me on hold for 20 minutes trying to find out what was wrong. Then she told me that I called the day before and changed my address which was completely false. I told her that wasn't true and she insisted I was lying! She was very rude and refused to let me speak to her manager. She told me it would be shipped that day. I told her I just wanted to cancel the order. She put me on hold for another 10 minutes and then told me that the package was already shipped. By then, I was angry! When I want my money back, all of a sudden it's been shipped? I don't think so! All I want is my money back so I can order my supplies from a reliable supplier. NEVER again will I order ANYTHING for LONESTARCANDLE SUPPLY. Awful customer service.
