Would not go to this vet again. Too many reasons to list. I trusted him for years & spent quite a bit of money.

I just wanted to publicly express my appreciation to our Dr. & the entire staff at Paws and Claws…read moreVeterinary Clinic in Sanger. Since moving here a few years ago.. we were obviously worried about finding new care for the animals we came here with. We love supporting small, local type businesses, and we felt that giving this vet clinic would be a great idea. We were a little skeptical at 1st when they told us we couldn't go inside, but once they explained why.. we totally understood & okay with it. Plus they come out to update you a ton and make sure you understand everything. Which we thought was amazing as well!! Well we weren't wrong! They were exceptionally great and happy to say that we still feel the same today. We've even added on to the animal clan and Dr Shellie & her staff have been so helpful and supportive!! So, if you're looking for an amazing, patient, kind, loving Dr & staff for your fur babies (big or small).. they are the clinic for you. I promise

Dr. Wallace is an incredible veterinarian, and her staff is top notch. I am an LVT who moved to…read morethis area and I know the difference between great care and crap care. I trust this clinic with every animal I own. There's always an owner who wants to complain about money or waiting. I'm sorry but if you lack the knowledge to understand that sh!t happens and sometimes there are critical cases that must be seen...go find a corporate clinic that treats you like a number. If you can't see value in taking care of your animal-don't take it to the vet. lol! Literally-Dr. Wallace has so much compassion for animals and the owners trying to take care of them. She will be completely honest with you-and that isn't something you find these days. These soft owners who can't handle being told to do better...then run to post a negative review. Pretty funny.

Guardian Pet Hospital - Buttons the welcoming committee!

I live in Celina so it's quite a ways for me to drive to Denton but our regular vet had quoted us $1k-$1.2k for a dental cleaning for my 12 yr old cat. They said he had some tartar build up on his back molars and a bit of gingivitis in his gums and it will get worse if we don't get a cleaning done. Our pet insurance does not cover dental cleanings so it would be out of pocket. I was recommended Guardian pet Hospital from a cat rescue group on Facebook. When I called the receptionist was very friendly and quoted me $300. A phenomenal price considering what our vet was charging us. My cat went to get a pre screening done and everything was good to go! He got his cleaning done shortly after, appointment times weren't an issue and he did so well under anesthesia. The staff is very helpful and very kind and the price came out being even a little less than what they originally quoted me! I highly recommend coming here not just for the reasonable prices but also for the great experience and friendly staff. I am highly considering transferring all our pets to Guardian pet hospital even if it's a longer drive for us!

AVOID GUARDIAN PET HOSPITAL!!! I boarded my diabetic dog with Guardian recently, and there is a…read moreSEVERE ANIMAL NEGLECT PROBLEM with this group. As my dog is diabetic (and has been for 2 years now), her feeding and insulin routine is of the utmost important to regulate her system. First, I was told they would accommodate her feeding/insulin schedule when I initially called, which is on a rolling 12-hour basis. However, when I was dropping her off, they then decided to tell me that they could not actually accommodate the times and it would be about a 8 hour cycle between feedings/insulin with a 16 hour gap. This destroys her medical routine, and leads to huge degradations in her energy and health. Then, the onsite staff were very rude to me about how to treat her. I have been following a 2 year routine now with my vet, but the staff told me their on-site vet knew better and they tried to change the medicine for her. What?!?! Finally, I included hand-crafted bags with measured food for each of my dog's meals. But after I picked her up, I noticed that they did not feed my dog during one of the meals as I had one of my bags returned to me!?! This means they completely skipped feeding her one morning/night which is first, entirely unacceptable, and second, extremely detrimental to her health and survival!! When I called and asked about it, and after being on hold for 20 minutes, I was given every excuse in the book (maybe we fed her food we have here (breaks her vet's prescription), or maybe you are delusional and you gave us too much food (it's not that hard to count 10 bags for 10 meals), "but yes we definitely fed her". Absolutely ridiculous, again, avoid these people at all costs!!

BEWARE of Refinery Road VETERINARY CLINIC…read more I hate giving negative reviews but under the circumstances I have no choice. The admin staff lie to their customers. I caught them several times, then I asked for explanations and they got hostile. Rude, liars... They need to get new admin staff. They have no customer service skills. They lie and then they deny lying. It's the craziest thing I've ever witnessed. Rude. I've been a customer too long to be treated so poorly. Costco is a LOT CHEAPER on prescription medications. RRV makes it nearly impossible to get the prescription printed and/or sent to Costco. Some hogwash line that they can't do it to it and another lie; it takes days to get the prescription processed. RRV made it so hard to get a prescription printed out, they want you to purchase prescription medications from them for a lot more money. And their famous line is....it's against the law! If you're going to lie, get everyone on board before you lie. Do not believe a word they say. Stay away from them. All greed and NO integrity. Cross posted:

This is a complete and honest review of my first experience at this vet clinic. To be clear when I…read morerefer to "him" I'm talking about my dog. I've excluded his name for privacy. Appointment set at 9:40, I got there early and they put me in a room at 9:35 ish, and the tech/assistant saw me at 10:30 ish. She did inform me that they were short staffed that day. I was in no rush so, I was very concerned about my dog, and I had no plans that day so I was willing to wait as long as it took. I have a 40 lb. herding dog who can be neurotic and has fear aggression, I informed the assistant of this and she was understanding and empathizing, she told me she has one of her own so she understood. She asked if she could muzzle him and I said yes, because I know my dog and I don't want any incidents. He came back with the muzzle off and they said he did really well behavior wise. Which is generally the case everywhere I take him, he wants to love everyone and do good but he is just riddled with anxiety. I am always very careful to warn the vet and tech(s) of his behavior issues to help prevent anything from happening. My dog returning without the muzzle says to me that they won't muzzle a problematic dog if they don't need to, and that they care about the comfort of the dog during their visit. I spoke with the vet for maybe 3 minutes, but both the vet and the assistant were really informative, straightforward, professional, and kind. While I love going to the vet and not needing to spend much money, I had bloodwork and X-rays done, which were both pretty expensive. Upon finding out why my dog was sick I think that they were completely necessary and potentially life-saving screenings. I wanted to update all of my dogs shots and they suggested I wait until he got better from being sick so his immune system didn't get overwhelmed. This seemed like another good indicator of them caring about his overall health. TLDR; - I did wait for an hour past my scheduled appointment time, but they informed me they were short staffed and apologized for the wait. - the vet tech/assistant is the one you speak to for 90% of the visit - my dog has behavior issues and they were considerate about me asking to do things in the way i believed would be the safest and most comfortable for my dog and the people working there. I was also very open to doing what they believed would be best because they're the professionals. - They recommended waiting to update his shots until he wasn't sick anymore - this tells me they care for his overall health and well-being. all in all, a great first visit. I gave it 4 stars bc of the hour long wait. While I'm a patient person, waiting always sucks. Thanks for taking care of my best friend!
