Mark is a breath of fresh air in the car sales world! I looked for months for a new (used)…read morevehicle, purchased many carfax reports, researched and test drove, spoke with many sales individuals, and sacrificed many hours to the negotiation waiting games with the sales managers. During one of my daily searches on Auto Trader a new listing popped up for Mark Weinstein Motors. It was a "unicorn" vehicle - rare in existence - an older model, incredibly low mileage, in fantastic shape (barely driven) and the listed price was in the KBB green price range (either good or great price for the vehicle's value). I reached out to Mark, who was quick to answer any and all my questions. I was in Houston and I couldn't make the trip to Austin to see the vehicle until the weekend, but he graciously agreed to hold the vehicle for me without any downpayment once I had set an appointment for a third party inspection. Despite receiving other inquiries about the vehicle, he held it for me for almost a week and even stayed a little late on Friday for my husband's and my arrival into town. The test drive and purchase process were smooth and straightforward. Mark explained everything thoroughly and even went the extra step of fixing the temporary paper license plate on top of an old metal plate to make it more secure. It's another example of Mark's great customer service. Like his great communication from start to finish - phone calls and text messages were always answered promptly. He is good-natured and honest, which is hard to find in the car shopping business. I would recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle!

Mr. Weinstein waited for us to arrive (same day-4hrs travel time) after close of business to provide an exceptional car buying experience with 1 hour process of our purchase and drive off. I will definitely refer anyone looking for a used vehicle. Good quality vehicles, no sales gimmicks, full transparency. Rare qualities, definitely appreciated in the used car arena. Thank you Mr. Weinstein.

He showed me a solid car, told me what he knew and let the test-drive do the rest. A quick discussion about price and we were out the door early enough to take the car out to the hill country for the day. He even went so far as to follow up with the previous owner after the sale and got me a second set of keys and a front plate mount. Should I be in the market for another car, I would definitely come back.

I bought a 2008 Mercedes E320 BlueTec from Dan and both the car and the experience were top notch…read more I was looking at three E320s (one at the dealer with 22,000 more miles on it and a bit more expensive) within less than $100 and a year of each other. Dan was the most knowledgeable, responsive and easy to deal with. Dan gave me an excellent price and even knocked a bit more off it once we did the deal. The car is excellent and Dan had the oil changed to the right special oil the BlueTec requires (he knew all the details about where to get it at 25% off and shared those with me as well) plus he had an O2 sensor replaced and he was straightforward and no-nonsense (i.e. no sales games). He provided a great price, the best of the three cars and great service. As the previous review says, he told me what he knew (Dan is a diesel Merc driver too and worked for Mercedes for years so we both appreciate their excellent diesels) and let the test drive and CarFax do the rest. He told me what he could do on the car and I said that was fine and I'd be in touch the next day with the details. When I had a problem with the process of getting everything signed for the loan, Dan said he had dealt with them before and to just come pick up the car and we will get the rest of the details ironed out the next day. We did that (DocuSign and LexisNexis said they thought I was deceased) and the plate came the week after with a nice note from Dan asking how I was enjoying the car. Dan is a consummate professional, honest businessman and basic nice guy. I'll be sending friends and family to him and checking his site whenever I'm in the market. I won't hesitate to come back if he has something I'm interested in because his inventory is high quality and fairly priced, plus he is great to deal with.

We stumbled across this little place on our way into Austin to visit some of the big car…read moredealerships there after our trusty minivan died. We pulled into the small lot on a rainy Saturday morning, to be greeted a minute or two after we clambered out of the car by Brian, the flip-flop clad owner of the place. He joked around pleasantly with us as I told him what we were looking for. After providing some peanut M&Ms for my hungry wife, he showed us a nice Mercury Villager that was already in our price range, ran a copy of my license, and tossed me the keys. We took it for a spin and quite liked it. On our return, he said "I've been sharpening up my pencil, and wanted to tell you the best price I can manage on this van," and quoted us a figure substantially below the already reasonable price. We told him we had a few more places to visit that day, but that we'd definitely keep it in mind. "I'll warn you, as you go further into Austin, the prices get higher and the salesmen get more obnoxious!" He then printed out the info sheet for the van, gave it to us along with his lower price, and cheerily sent us on our way. His parting words proved to be prophetic. We didn't find any deals in Austin that compared favorably to the price he quoted us, and certainly didn't find anyone as agreeable to work with. We dropped back by later than afternoon to take the van around the block again. "While you're out, could you put some gas in it for me? Here's a $20." We decided to buy the van, write Brian a check, and were on our way with a good van and no hassle. The only thing that was a little disappointing, though understandable, is that Brian wasn't comfortable having us take the van down to San Marcos to our mechanic. He was happy to offer the number of an independent inspector and to call the local Firestone garage for us, though, so we had options that were almost as good. All in all, we really appreciated the experience, and will likely start our next car search there

If you don't like high pressure sales techniques, hidden fees, tricks etc. this is the place to go. They were friendly and down to earth. As soon as my boyfriend told him about all the problems the truck was having he stopped returning his calls/texts. I contacted the owner, Tariq, through craigslist to set up a test drive and he was able meet at a time that fit with my busy schedule. By the time I arrived, he had the truck detailed inside and out with a full tank of gas and ready for a test drive. He had no problem with me driving it for a LONG time. I even got lost while joy riding and needed to call him for directions back. Before purchasing the vehicle I wanted to take the truck for a pre-purchase inspection at Lambs Tire and Automotive and he told me that he would wait for me and provided directions there even though it was already past their closing time. He even said "I would rather you take it to get inspected so you are satisfied with the vehicle you're buying." The inspection revealed some issues that are normal for the trucks age such as worn ball joints and bad alignment. Tariq had no issues adjusting the price and meeting all of my demands, including buying new headrests that weren't on the vehicle. After filling out the paperwork, which only took about 30 minutes, I was on the road and driving an awesome F250. If you are reading this and are in the market for a great used vehicle at a reasonable price at a dealership with people who put honesty and service first, Texas Sport Cars is the place to go!!
