We first worked with London Tile back in 2021 for a kitchen renovation. At that time we worked with Mick and our communication was remote since it was during covid, and we were also out of the country for work. The logistics and operations were great throughout the job and the level of workmanship was top notch. We were using Heath Tile, and a complicated pattern at that, but at no point were Mick and the team phased by it. The end result was spectacular and they came in on budget and to timeline. Fast forward to 2025 and we called upon London Tile to help us with a larger project. Greg (Mick's son) was our point of contact and they worked on 3 areas of the house. Firstly his team were able to easily correct some poorly installed bathroom tile (from another company) and later they installed beautiful backsplashes for the kitchen and wet bar. Again, we used Heath Tile and again, a fabulous result. The team are prompt, tidy, accurate and focused in their work and are a real joy to work with. Highly recommend. read more

In 2018, we had Mick London and his team install approximately 1,500 ft of porcelain planking throughout most of the first floor of our home. Because we bought a home with radiant heating in the floor, we couldn't use real wood. At any rate, their first installation was top notch. Moreover, they were polite, did a fine job, and cleaned up after themselves. Their work has stood the test of time. The planks are still level, and the grout is still intact In 2024, we decided to remove the carpeting on the second floor. We contacted Mick, and asked him to come out and give us a bid on installing approximately 800 ft of porcelain planking. Mick now has his son Greg running point. Greg and his team also did an excellent job. They were very polite, and were very good about cleaning up after themselves. The planks are level, and the grout looks fine. They were great about moving and protecting furniture and didn't grumble when my husband and I had to work out the arrangement of an area carpet under an extremely heavy bed. There is a bit of art involved in the placement of plank flooring. They were very good about consulting with us - and made certain we were happy with the placement. We are extremely satisfied with their work, and would use them again. read more

We recently had our bathroom shower re-caulked by Juan from London Tile. The result was outstanding. read more

Mick represents himself as 30 years in business yet I get two 20 something year olds that proceed to do peripheral damage to woodwork, Sheetrock, carpet, tub. He did not provide a port-a-potty so the 2 boys wandered around using our bathroom multiple times a day. After they finished we had hundreds of dollars of repair work. read more

London Tile - This is how they left the room. Window had to be sanded to the base wood and repainted at our cost. - General Contractors Near Me

I chose London tile for a 6 x 8 laundry room, where I wanted to do carrera marble in a herringbone pattern with a border. London Tile was twice the cost of any of the other quotes, but I have had so many issues with other sub-contractors that I was willing to pay the price for high quality. Mick quoted me $3500 while all others were around $1800 In my mind, you pay twice the cost, you get twice the quality. I told Mick in advance that I was consciously hiring the most expensive person in town because I wanted this tile to be flawless - straight and consistent grout lines (straight around the border, 1/16" throughout) and carefully selected and installed tile (very few chips). He said that would be no problem. The expectations were set in advance. The process was far more challenging than I expected. I had to argue with Mick a number of times about not-straight lines, chips in the tile, and inconsistencies in the grout thickness. Mick often tried to make excuses to me, as shown in the photo. Note that Mick does not actually do the tile work, Hector does, so you are often dealing with a lot of back and forth communication (and misunderstandings). Sometimes Hector would agree with a finding, then Mick would call me back and disagree. Then I (or my general contractor) would have to wait for Mick to show up and review the tile, so Hector could fix it. In the text, I was surprised that he said I was viewing things on a microscopic level, and that industry standard is viewing everything from 6 feet away. If you only want to be held to the industry standard, you should quote industry prices. If you want to be twice the cost, you hold yourself above the standard. Im happy to be accused of being nit-picky, but if I am willing to pay the price, I would expect someone to deliver. Because Im not a contractor, Mick often fought back against my complaints. Fortunately, my general contractor supported me throughout the project, and Mick's excuses didn't go far with him. He is an expert tile-setter, but hates doing it, hence why I hired London Tile. We wound up having to ask Mick and Hector to completely re-lay the border tile to get the grout lines straight. More than 20 tiles had to be pulled (and some twice) because they were chipped or set inconsistently with the adjoining tiles. At the end of the day, I am OK with the work performed and it would rank at a B+. There is still a slight bow along one of the sides and some thicker grout lines, but we were done with the back and forth. Given the tedium of the process and the fact that the end result could likely have still been achieved with the $1800 folks, I would not recommend London Tile. At a lower price, yes. read more

London Tile - Text I received from Mick after I called out issues with the tile. - General Contractors Near Me

Mick is a falsely arrogant Englishman with no place in Marin County, as his work is slip-shod, fly-by-night, and never completed at our expensive home in Tiburon. We've filed consumer complaints with both state of california, marin county, and federal regulatory authorities; he only offered us a 25% refund for his defective work. Zack, the project manager for London tile met me at my home and helped me plan out my flooring remodel. He expertly explained to me the pros and cons on the various types of flooring, evaluated what was best in my situation and helped me decide on the right choice. The crew came in and did an amazing job on my floor. They were very professional, timely and just stellar. I highly recommend London Tile for any of your flooring remodel needs. I am so lucky that I found Zack and his great company to work on my remodel. I love my floors and it's all thanks to them! read more

London Tile - Porcelain wood plank tile - General Contractors Near Me

This job took place last summer. Part of it was good, but part of it was bad quality. Very nice installers, but poor quality work. The floor tiles are straight with even grout. But the wall bows and grout lines are very irregular. Some tiles are crooked. The angle on the shower edge is not sufficient so water pools against the glass causing staining and I'm sure mold soon. I had asked for a shampoo cubby in the wall, but they forgot. I don't enjoy posting a negative review but want to warn other people to watch out for the quality of this company. read more

London Tile - Kitchen backsplash - General Contractors Near Me

We had two very important tile jobs to be done at our remodel of our home in Fairfax. One was a very beautiful Italian white tile surround in our kitchen and another was a pebble effect in our very large open plan shower pan in our master suite bathroom. Each of these jobs were completed on time and within our budget. The tile work in the kitchen makes all the difference. The tile work in the master suite shower is beautiful and prevents a potential of slip and fall in this very large open shower. I highly recommend London Tile and I will hire them again in the near future for any of our hardscapes on the property as well. Janet DiGiovanna Danny Rubenstein read more

So, you'll see my previous review down below in which I said I would going to use LT for my bath remodel. Again, Zack & Mick are amazing to work with and their craftsmen are simply the best. They did the hex floor and the subway wainscoting & shower. So beautiful! We are in love with it. read more

We had kitchen backsplash tiles done with London Tile, one of the recommended installers from Heath Ceramics. The list was long but I searched through Yelp.com reviews. London Tiles certainly lived up to its good reviews. For the initial estimate / quote, for booking the work, and for the actual work, Zack was easy to work with, was on time with the crew. The tile experts (Ignacio and Carlos) did their job very well. All the edges, corners were meticulously and precisely completed. Grout finishes were perfect. And the crew cleaned up after the project was done. We are very happy with the results, and would recommend London Tiles without any hesitation. read more

London Tile is hands down the best tiling company in the Bay Area. They are my first choice when it comes to any tiling install need for all of my design projects. They make sure that my projects look perfect down to the very last mm. I don't trust anyone when it comes to tiling. All of my clients that have used London Tile have been thrilled with the results and their customer service. They know this industry and what needs to be done to make the job look flawless. Tile work is such an important aspect of design. It can make or break an entire project. You need someone who specializes in this trade. It's that important! read more

My wife and I did a complete gut and remodel of our 70yr old home in SF. Of all the vendors we dealt with Mick and his crew were the most professional and personable. Their portion of the project was completed on time, on budget and exactly the way they said it would look. If you need tile or stone work you'd be foolish not to review his portfolio. read more

London Tile recently completed the centerpiece of my powder room re-model. I had a design in mind from work I had seen in Portugal and Asia, picked out handmade tiles, just needed an experienced tile contractor. I got quotes from several Marin companies but picked London Tile due to their professionalism and expertise with design. I saw several examples of their work at FireClay, and they were highly recommended by several tile companies including those in the design centers of SF. I loved working with them from start to finish. Mick, Hector and their team provided valuable feedback about the type of tile to complement the design I had in mind as well as the layout. They were always on-time, neat, extremely helpful with everything from tile selection, delivery & pick-up, to last minute design changes. They are definitely a high-end company and charge accordingly for their work. I would not trust expensive, handmade tiles to the cheapest contractor, I looked for quality design and work. I highly recommend London Tile. So thankful I choose Mick and his team especially during the uncertainty of the pandemic. They were a delight to work with and I'm looking forward to many future projects. read more

These guys came in and did a fantastic job. Very personable and friendly. They left a section under the window sill blank (0.5") while we finished the framing. We completed our remodel and the half inch under the window sill still showed based on our final design. They came back a full year and 1/2 later and completed 2 1/2 hours more work, free of charge because they said they wanted to finish the job right. 100% awesomeness! read more

London Tile did a tub to shower conversion for us. We are extremely pleased with the result, the work was done on schedule, the price was very competitive, and everyone at London Tile was extremely easy to deal with. In particular the crew took my very general "design" ideas and worked out the details in a very pleasing way. As best as I can tell the workmanship was top notch, I'm especially pleased with how well the shower floor drains. Using London Tile for a job like this does require that you assume the role of designer and general contractor, coordinating with the plumber, shower door folks, and painters, but in return you get more flexibility and lower cost. We got estimates from two companies specializing in turnkey tub to shower conversions, and the total cost (enclosure, plumbing, doors) was either higher, or the design options more limited. read more

Zack and crew saved the day!! We had to fire our first contractor for poor performance. Zack looked at what we wanted to do with our two bathrooms, made his recommendations and went right to work on pricing the project. A contract was submitted in a timely manner and explained to us in detail before we accepted the proposal. Ignacio and the rest of the crew did a great job with a challenging project and Zack oversaw the tile installation every step of the way. These guys are quick to help you and they take great pride in their work. The crew is great to work with and the tile looks great. We would not hesitate to recommend London Tile to anyone! London Tile was my choice for changing the tile around a fireplace. Mick, the owner, was a pleasure to work with, always coming or phoning when he said he would. I "found" this gem of a company when we wanted to do a quick kitchen update in order to put our house on the market. Mick came out, took a look, and almost immediately our kitchen floor had tile-done perfectly, professionally, and so quickly it was amazing. We liked his work so much we also had granite installed in our downstairs bar. So...we decided to stay where we are and do a major kitchen remodel. Again, a call to Mick got the job done. He is exceptionally responsive and his installers are a real pleasure to have working in the home. They are perfectionists and very pleasant. We'll use him again to do more work in our house-would not even think of trying somebody else. read more

It doesn't get any better. Two tiles (installed by another craftsman) fell off the gas fireplace surround in my home office. Mick Griffin of London Tile came over, pointed out that other tiles were loose and badly adhered. Two London Tile tilers came over, removed all tiles, cleaned them off, and retiled. I continued to work in my office and the two tilers were a peaceful joy to be around. Oriental rug carefully moved back, paper laid to protect wood floor, thorough vacuuming throughout the process. Very well organized. Job done swiftly and well. Fireplace looks beautiful -- better than before. Done in 4 hours. Plan to have London Tile back for a bathroom remodel. read more

The work went very well AND they started and completed on time! His crew were professional and very pleasant. These guys are Pro's; very helpful, great at designing, listening to our needs and offering suggestions. From demolition to installation to finish was a great experience.
