We first worked with London Tile back in 2021 for a kitchen renovation. At that time we worked with Mick and our communication was remote since it was during covid, and we were also out of the country for work. The logistics and operations were great throughout the job and the level of workmanship was top notch. We were using Heath Tile, and a complicated pattern at that, but at no point were Mick and the team phased by it. The end result was spectacular and they came in on budget and to timeline. Fast forward to 2025 and we called upon London Tile to help us with a larger project. Greg (Mick's son) was our point of contact and they worked on 3 areas of the house. Firstly his team were able to easily correct some poorly installed bathroom tile (from another company) and later they installed beautiful backsplashes for the kitchen and wet bar. In 2018, we had Mick London and his team install approximately 1,500 ft of porcelain planking throughout most of the first floor of our home. Because we bought a home with radiant heating in the floor, we couldn't use real wood. At any rate, their first installation was top notch. Moreover, they were polite, did a fine job, and cleaned up after themselves. Their work has stood the test of time. The planks are still level, and the grout is still intact In 2024, we decided to remove the carpeting on the second floor. We contacted Mick, and asked him to come out and give us a bid on installing approximately 800 ft of porcelain planking. Mick now has his son Greg running point. Greg and his team also did an excellent job. They were very polite, and were very good about cleaning up after themselves. The planks are level, and the grout looks fine. They were great about moving and protecting furniture and didn't grumble when my husband and I had to work out the arrangement of an area carpet under an extremely heavy bed. There is a bit of art involved in the placement of plank flooring. They were very good about consulting with us - and made certain we were happy with the placement. Mick represents himself as 30 years in business yet I get two 20 something year olds that proceed to do peripheral damage to woodwork, Sheetrock, carpet, tub. I chose London tile for a 6 x 8 laundry room, where I wanted to do carrera marble in a herringbone pattern with a border. London Tile was twice the cost of any of the other quotes, but I have had so many issues with other sub-contractors that I was willing to pay the price for high quality. Mick quoted me $3500 while all others were around $1800 In my mind, you pay twice the cost, you get twice the quality. I told Mick in advance that I was consciously hiring the most expensive person in town because I wanted this tile to be flawless - straight and consistent grout lines (straight around the border, 1/16" throughout) and carefully selected and installed tile (very few chips). He said that would be no problem. The expectations were set in advance. The process was far more challenging than I expected. I had to argue with Mick a number of times about not-straight lines, chips in the tile, and inconsistencies in the grout thickness. Mick often tried to make excuses to me, as shown in the photo. Note that Mick does not actually do the tile work, Hector does, so you are often dealing with a lot of back and forth communication (and misunderstandings). Sometimes Hector would agree with a finding, then Mick would call me back and disagree. Then I (or my general contractor) would have to wait for Mick to show up and review the tile, so Hector could fix it. In the text, I was surprised that he said I was viewing things on a microscopic level, and that industry standard is viewing everything from 6 feet away. If you only want to be held to the industry standard, you should quote industry prices. If you want to be twice the cost, you hold yourself above the standard. Im happy to be accused of being nit-picky, but if I am willing to pay the price, I would expect someone to deliver. Because Im not a contractor, Mick often fought back against my complaints. Fortunately, my general contractor supported me throughout the project, and Mick's excuses didn't go far with him. He is an expert tile-setter, but hates doing it, hence why I hired London Tile. We wound up having to ask Mick and Hector to completely re-lay the border tile to get the grout lines straight. More than 20 tiles had to be pulled (and some twice) because they were chipped or set inconsistently with the adjoining tiles. At the end of the day, I am OK with the work performed and it would rank at a B+. There is still a slight bow along one of the sides and some thicker grout lines, but we were done with the back and forth. Given the tedium of the process and the fact that the end result could likely have still been achieved with the $1800 folks, I would not recommend London Tile. At a lower price, yes. read more

This job took place last summer. Part of it was good, but part of it was bad quality. Very nice installers, but poor quality work. The floor tiles are straight with even grout. But the wall bows and grout lines are very irregular. Some tiles are crooked. The angle on the shower edge is not sufficient so water pools against the glass causing staining and I'm sure mold soon. I had asked for a shampoo cubby in the wall, but they forgot. I don't enjoy posting a negative review but want to warn other people to watch out for the quality of this company. read more

One was a very beautiful Italian white tile surround in our kitchen and another was a pebble effect in our very large open plan shower pan in our master suite bathroom. These guys came in and did a fantastic job. Very personable and friendly. They left a section under the window sill blank (0.5") while we finished the framing. We completed our remodel and the half inch under the window sill still showed based on our final design. We are extremely pleased with the result, the work was done on schedule, the price was very competitive, and everyone at London Tile was extremely easy to deal with. In particular the crew took my very general "design" ideas and worked out the details in a very pleasing way. As best as I can tell the workmanship was top notch, I'm especially pleased with how well the shower floor drains. Using London Tile for a job like this does require that you assume the role of designer and general contractor, coordinating with the plumber, shower door folks, and painters, but in return you get more flexibility and lower cost. We got estimates from two companies specializing in turnkey tub to shower conversions, and the total cost (enclosure, plumbing, doors) was either higher, or the design options more limited. read more

Mick Griffin of London Tile came over, pointed out that other tiles were loose and badly adhered. Two London Tile tilers came over, removed all tiles, cleaned them off, and retiled.
