I have waited a while to give my review and I think over two years is long enough! There has been a lot of bad Google reviews on this school due to a past bad director. All unwarranted!! My son has been here over 3 years since it opened and he loves it! Miss Patty and Miss Ada along with Jenny the owner are always on site and we look forward to seeing their smiling faces every day! Aaron is now in the pre k class and he still gets to see Miss Tabitha his teacher in the wee early mornings (6:30am) before he gets to learn with Miss Laura. Miss Tabitha has been there three years and she gives Aaron a hug every morning. My son is a difficult child and has been a handful for those ladies but they keep smiling and staying positive. My grandchildren, Lexi and Christian have attended London Bridge literally for years. I don't normally do reviews but in this case I will make the rare exception. The same way I describe Family, is how I describe the Owner and Staff at London Bridge. I cannot express how important a statement that is for me to make as I do not make it lightly. Entrusting your precious little ones to others is a huge responsibility and I must admit where they are concerned I am extremely picky. I am a 6'4" Christian Biker and I confess I literally cried yesterday when I had to say goodbye to London Bridge because my Daughter is moving this weekend too far away to make it practical to keep the kids there. I will never be able to thank the Owner and Staff enough for helping to form the children as they have. Only Family shows the sort of care I have witnessed at London Bridge and if you are new to the area and looking for a safe, secure and loving place for your kids, I 100% recommend this preschool. I recommend this school so highly. There aren't enough stars. The staff there take such good care of my baby. She comes home happy :-). They treat every child there as if they were theirs. LBPS is the 3rd daycare for my 14mo, so needless to say I was looking for a lot of specifics. LBPS so far has been a good fit for him. He enjoys his day there: learning and playing- he learned sign language and uses it at home! His teachers seem to enjoy having him in the class and make him feel special. The management is great! The owner really listens and tries to help when there is a problem and the director and asst director are always available. All are very personable and know my children by name. In the beginning I was worried because of the "turnover" in my 14mo teachers. Two issues here- 1) my LO was in between two classes due to his age and their way of transitioning kids up, and 2) one of his teachers was pregnant and almost due so she left. There just seemed to be too many teachers! Now that has settled down and he has a morning teacher and afternoon teacher. Both teachers are good with him. My infant son has had no issues with his room, classmates or teachers- no complaints yet from that area! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to price- it's like a second mortgage for my two children. Everything else is good and a cheaper price would make it even better! My kids have been going to London Bridge since April 2012. My oldest is now 12 and no longer attends but my 3 yr old who started at 6 weeks loves LBPS. I can say she has learned a lot and I'm very pleased and would say money well invested. She knows her abc in spanish, the can name the continents, all 50 states, learned signs such as eat, more, mom, dad. Every morning i drop get off she's happy to go as well as when i pick her up she still has a smile. I now have a 3 month old son who also started at 6 weeks and again we are pleased and agree money well invested. read more

Well I have to totally disagree with the previous comment. I have been attending this school for 3 years. My girls have been cared for by most of the teachers at the school. The office staff is professional and a pleasure to deal with each and every day. I have witnessed some parents that come in and have a complaint everyday (and it is rather annoying to hear, because we have had such a great experience), but I find it hard to believe that your issue was all of the "teachers" fault and none of your own. You know sometimes it is the way you address things with the teachers... if you go in there demanding things and saying you are right and not hearing their side then shame on you. There is a curriculum that is followed and my girls have never had an issue following it. I hate to tell you about the turn around... go to any school and see what you get. You will never find even close to the consistency you get here. Just my 2 cents, but I was appalled to see your comment. I think you might be one of the only ones that feels the way you do. I absolutely love London Bridge Prep School!!! My 21 month old daughter does as well! She is happy and very well adjusted there! When we went to visit the school, she was already comfortable! Her diaper needed to be changed, and one of the wonderful teachers there offered to change her diaper and happily did so! I was greatly impressed! The owners, managers, teachers, and staff are like a family! They all acknowledge and adore my child!!! Also, she is learning so much! I am a parent who is big on learning, so this pleases me tremendously! So much so, that I drive 30 minutes to bring her there!!! My child attended London Bridge Prep School for a total of 3 days (I am not returning her there as of today.) When my husband and I initially toured the facility with Carlen, it was during the summer school year and the children were outside playing, so we did not get to see the teacher-children interaction. Here is the summary of the problems that I witnessed within my daughter's first three days that eventually led to me removing her from this school. 1) Only 1 of the three days that we entered my daughter's classroom was either she or I greeted by the teacher there. 2) Only 1 of the three days was my daughter's actual teacher present when we came in. The other days there was someone who was standing in until she arrived. Only once when I went to pick my child up around 4, was my child's actual teacher present. 3) All of the three days that my daughter was there, her classroom and the staff were EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED! That is the overall vibe I felt every day, and I left very apprehensive each day, thinking that the next day would probably be better. For example, my child did not have a cubby with her name on it any of the three days she was there. When I asked where to place my child's belongings, I was encouraged to place them in another child's cubby. I brought diapers the next day, and was again told to place it in another child's cubby, and they would write her name on it later. I was told they would give my daughter her own cubby, but in the three days, she was never given one. 4) All of the three days that my child was there, children were opening the classroom door as the teachers stood by and watched. The first day it happened just as I was about to enter the room, and the teacher something to the effect of "she is probably opening it because it is hot in here." Only one of the three days was there a safety gate on the door, and one day as the teacher stood and watched, two of the children escaped and ran all the way down the hall, while the teacher stood and continued talking to me. I asked her if she needed to go and get them, and she told me "No. They're going to get in trouble." After about a minute, she finally asked a teacher walking by to go and retrieve them. This same day, a 1-year-old child was crawling to her crying. She allowed the child to cry for about 2 to 3 minutes at her feet before she even acknowledged that he was there, and then she proceeded to tell me that he knew how to walk and she said something alluding to him acting like a baby. As she stood there, she yelled at another child to stop touching the toilet because that is "nasty." 5) The three days my child was there, she had different teachers every day that I dropped her off and picked her up. Instead of the children being divided by age groups as I was informed they would be, the children were all in the room together. Every morning and evening I went in, the kids were rowdy and unproductive. When I asked why the kids were not divided into their respective classes, at least two of the teachers defended "it's been so crazy." No teacher seemed to know if or when the kids would be divided by class. One teacher told me "We only have 9 kids right now. So we will probably keep them all in the same room until we get more." The biggest issues I had with the facility are that the staff assigned to my child were unsociable, extremely disorganized, seemed like novices at this level of childcare, and at least two of them related to the children like they were bothered or irritated by them. After the morning drop off on the 2nd day, I had a list of questions that I generated, to see if the things we were promised by the assistant director were actually happening. I asked each teacher because I wanted get an understanding of what was going on. Unfortunately, each teacher actually seemed to be unsure herself, and there seemed to be no no continuity of understanding among the teachers that my child shared. The written and verbal reports given to me at the end of the day about my child were vague. Honestly I got the feeling that (at least in the toddler room) that it was more like a day care, and not a very good one at that. I cannot speak to the teaching, or what my child learned, because I was not present during that time, but from what I saw (or didn't see) during the morning and evenings, I was VERY displeased, and I did not feel that this school was worth my $800 a month for the care or lack thereof, that I witnessed during my three days. I cannot speak to the other class rooms, but I can say that everything rises and falls on leadership, and while the assistant director came across as very nice, she is very young, and did not seem to have the authority necessary to bring order and structure to the 2's room. I would not recommend this facility to anyone with children who cannot yet verbalize what is going on. read more

You know you're in good hands when your 11 month old gets excited when they arrive to Daycare! From the Owner, to the director, to the teachers, hands down the most friendliest, loving group of people. They truly do treat your child as their own, and you can truly see that when picking up your child at the end of your work day. We love you guys! read more

This place does not even deserve one star but it's required to put one!! London Bridge is the worst daycare. They have constant turnover and the Director is a joke. I complain about legitimate things - such as my daughter having diaper rash all week and they do nothing. I complain about them treating other kids better than some, they do nothing. I say they treat other kids better because they buy gifts for their "favorites" (which was on their Facebook wall earlier but no longer is since I pointed it out to the owner). They gossip about everyone, even gossiped to me. Then they kick my daughter out of the daycare because she will not stay in her room. Well maybe that has to do with the fact that the teacher doesn't interact with the kids and just turns on LOUD music and ignores them, I have witnessed it with my own eyes. It could also have to do with the fact that the "head teacher" that is currently in there for the past 2 or so weeks hit a kid on the head with a book.. I have seen kids hit my daughter and they did nothing, but they would put her in timeout all of the time (which is against the wall in Texas) calling it the "sad wall". I have witnessed the teacher roughly dragging kids by their arms when they don't listen, hopefully she doesn't pull it out of their socket. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to be the tattle tail but I guess I should have. I know someone else who lives on my street who pulled her daughter out and tried to warn me that the teachers hit the kids, but I didn't listen. I hope other parents see this and realize that it is not a very good place. read more

We used LBPS when we moved to Texas and enjoyed it at first. However, there have been some significant changes lately and they cannot seem to hire or retain good, qualified staff. The lead infant worker has only been there for two months, and most employees don't have the training needed in early childhood development to provide you with the best environment for a child's growing mind. It's misleading they call this a "Prep School" because it's more of a bare-minimum daycare. The new director is very young, inexperienced, and has no idea what she is doing. She even told me it was okay to give HONEY to my infant. There's no telling what other bad advice or ideas come from her, and it's scary someone like her is overseeing the daycare. The only thing she seems to be good at is putting on a show and telling you what you want to hear. There is a severe disconnect between what they sell you on and what actually happens in a day. There is no organization, little to no curriculum, and a dull feeling to the place ever since the other director and a few others left. No one remaining seems to care about the children. The owners, although local, are almost never there and only show up when their business is suffering. I'm not sure why they chose to open a daycare-- it's obvious they are not in this business because they love children. They do not listen to parent's concerns and or have much respect for anyone else. I would be surprised if this daycare is around much longer; it seems they struggle financially and cannot pay enough wages to attract good, qualified help. Most of the good reviews are written by current staff, the new director (Carlen), and friends of the new director and owners, who do not even live in the same area or use their daycare (even though they say they do). They are doing damage control to salvage what's left of their business since they cannot seem to listen to parents concerns. There are better daycares in the area for your money, although most have a waiting list. LBPS doesn't have a waiting list, and they will pay people a small amount for referring new families to their business. I think that's pretty telling. I am in love with this school. After issues with other schools that seemed to be intolerant of children with a little spunk and spirit, I found London Bridge. The school is clean, smells fresh, and is very inviting. Entering the school feels like going into a warm living room. All of the classrooms are spacious and offer a variety of activities for the appropriate age ranges. The classes all have one way glass so you can observe your child without disrupting the classroom setting. My child went from not being able to write one letter and having no confidence in himself or his skills to writing his name, completing all of his work, and feeling proud of himself and his knowledge- and that was just the progress after six weeks. My child is genuinely happy at London Bridge, and I feel proud to take my son there every day. Family involvement is evident, and I love how the school feels like a family and not an institution. I know my son is being well cared for by staff who sincerely enjoy children. I could not ask for a better school for my child, and I highly recommend taking a tour and seeing the school and the environment for yourself. read more

I have had a wonderful expierence with this school. We have been attending for 6 six years and the staff is attentive, professional, and on the ball. I appreciate the owners being there several days a week if and available to speak to any parent. Most importantly my child loves coming to this school.
