Studying with Masha and Billy at Maestro has been a game changer for me--the progress we have made has been so impressive, and my confidence as a ballroom dancer has increased considerably in the past 6 months. Both have been very patient, professional, and encouraging, and their collective knowledge has truly helped me grow as a dancer in a relatively short amount of time. Neither of them lets me settle for being anything less than the best dancer I can be, and it is so appreciated. I just competed in my first outside/national competition, and if results are any indicator of their teaching and support, I can tell you I placed 1st and 2nd in the championship/scholarship rounds for my division. If you are someone who has studied dance and/or are just getting back into it, this is a great place to find your wings and take flight again. My husband studies with Masha as well. Although he has much less of a dance background, the progress he has made with Masha is nothing short of miraculous. A number of years ago, my husband tried to learn salsa with a local instructor and it didn't go so well---the lessons weren't as clear, and he wasn't able to progress...being your average guy, he quickly gave up on the lessons and declared himself a 'non-dancer'. However, he was willing to bravely try again with Masha, and she has shown us a side of him that neither of us knew existed--in a relatively short amount of time, he has gone from just copying steps to actually dancing them. Now he is talking about possibly competing too, and I couldn't be more proud. The bottom line: whether you were born dancing and got side tracked or you never danced a step before, this is a wonderful place to start and to grow. The pricing is very reasonable, the instruction is top notch, and the results speak for themselves. We came here to get dance lessons for our wedding. We just figured we would learn some ballroom dance or something and do that for our first dance. But what we got instead was a customized dance to the song we chose. She gave us a basic dance and added some different moves to make it our own. I can not dance very well but Patricia was awesome! She was patient and supportive. She provides feedback in way that is constructive and not offensive. She is a great dancer and a great instructor. Patricia is a great teacher! She is very passionate about dancing and very patient to the students. The studio is upscale with big mirrors, hardwood floor and nice lighting. We came to Patricia without any dance experience or ability. Somehow, she has successfully taught us to two step even though my husband travels for work which means we may have a month or more between lessons. It has been wonderful for my husband and me to learn a new skill together and then go out and have a great time dancing together. Patricia is a fantastic teacher. She finds a way to put a positive spin on even our most hopeless attempts at dancing. We end up laughing at our mistakes which means we try again in a very relaxed mode. My wife and I purchased a 10 dance lesson package with Patricia. She is the BEST. Very patient, and very skilled. Her facility is also a great size, not too big or small. My husband and I have had several lessons from Patricia. We started because of our daughters upcoming wedding. She is so patient with us. My husband likes to ask alot of questions, but she is very kind and answers each one. He likes exact answers, and she answers every single one. Patricia was awesome to work with! Patricia created amazing choreography. She listened to what we wanted and created a dance that was perfect for us.
