Definitely unprofessional, & these people do no know how to communicate with Potential Customers. If this is how they talk to an Adult I can't imagine how they speak to these young children. She was there from newborn to preschool then before and after school and every summer camp. The teachers are so loving and many of them have been there for my daughter's entire life. Very low turnover, all the teachers know her by name and they know us as parents. Clean, safe, secure, and off the main roads but in a really great area. There are days that she will get her clothes dirty so beware of white clothing. My daughter does not cry when she sees her teacher and it fills my heart that they treat her like family. The staff treated my children as if their voices needed to be silenced and was never allowed to voice when they were getting bulled by the non-minority there. My children were referred to in racial terms by other children there even went as far as my children being referred to as "Monkeys." When the staff was informed, they allowed that child still to attend this facility. The director did not try to offer relief but instead threatened to stop care for my children due to me speaking up and voicing my discomfort. I have really tried to resolve this but my voice of me and my children is being silenced. WELL I was wrong because not only did the front office staff: Ms. Stewart & Ms.Maya made sure we felt welcomed and listen to ALL concerns, questions and thoughts I was having but they even made sure that they stayed very transparent and communicated with me and understanding my children and myself needs. When it came to the room she was aged to be she met Ms. Keisha and Since BEFORE my daughter Anais was even put in her class, Ms. Keisha has always shown patience, drive, empathy & most important UNDERSTANDING. When it came to Anais. A little back story about Anais is she is a 2 yr old Level 3 AUTISTIC child who is also partial deaf, she was also nonparticipating, immobile, introverted, nonverbal very shy, and timid child. A year and a month later; Anais speaks some words, participates, plays with other classmates and LOVES outside time with her classmates. Ms. Keisha has not only worked with her on developmental obstacles, learning appropriate age behavior skills but as well as performing in the class and working with her one on one; She also includes Anais in EVERYTHING the class does and makes her feel comfortable and confident to try the same things independently. I can't thank the staff enough for all they done for all my children but most importantly a huge special heartfelt thank you to Ms.Stewart & Ms.Keisha. Everyday that comes and it's time to drop off my children I no longer have that worry feeling inside or calling throughout the day checking to make sure she is ok. When it came to my youngest child Amira; Ms. Milagro ( aka abuela ) knocks it out park! Amira has been going since she was 4 weeks old and literally has grown up at this facility. Amira cries when it's time for Ms Milagro to leave for the day and walks in looking for her every morning. She not only understands Spanish, yet she also strives to do what her big sister does! Amira is learning colors, painting and more!!!! These three women are phenomenal and they know what they are doing! We have 3 children (twin 3 yr old girls & a 7 yr old boy) who attend and have attended My Place for years and I felt compelled to talk about why we never left. The difference is the people. Yes, they have a fantastic facility, security, high tech interactive gym, very clean, healthy meals...but the most important thing is how the teachers engage and interact with our children. I could give several examples, but we've had a child who passed out due to a breath-hold spell that a teacher quickly acted on and potentially saved our Child's life. This was all caught on video. I've seen teachers buy our child a little gift for Christmas out of their own pocket book. They have helped us get our infants into the building when it was raining. They keep us in the loop if there's any concern for our children. They keep us updated on their individual development process. This is just the type of people they are! And because we've been elsewhere, we know not everyone is like that! One key indicator is our children don't cry when we drop them off at school, they run to class excited. This was not true of the other places. Under the bridge program, my son flourished and was prepared for KISD's kinder curriculum. My Place has been incredible for their education/development, their care and they have a great time doing it! We highly recommend this family-oriented school and wouldn't think about leaving!

There was a new director.Thats a huge change. Mrs Fran was part of the reason we chose this place. I figured to give it a chance anyways. Nothing was as we were explained it would be. There seemed like there was no plan for the summer, they made my five year old take long naps even though he doesn't take naps and we were originally told that he would be able to play while the younger kids did. Every time I went in there there were different teachers. The internet viewing was down. I just had a bad feeling about it starting from the fact that no one gave me a call to even let me know what was going on. I decided to take him out. I called and left two messages on two different days and they couldn't even give me the courtesy of a phone call back. Apparently thats how they do business now. That confirmed I was right in taking him out of there. I would suggest people look else where.
