    Tortilla soup

Finally made it here, I have tried to get reservations several times but always been booked. Thought we were in the wrong place as the building has so much construction going on. The restaurant is beautifully done in classy Caribbean I would calm it. We started with cocktails and my Manhattan and my wife's margarita were very good. I started with the tortilla soup, it was full of chicken and pretty spicey. A little bit more and this could have been an entire meal. My wife had the fresh guacamole and loved it. Then my wife had the seafood enchiladas and it was a nice change from the standard enchilada. I had the Barbacoa, a beef rib. It was very tender and seasoned very well, a delicious dish. We were so full we had no room for desserts. Service was excellent and price was on the higher side but not terrible.

Guys - this is the spot. It's placed in a multilevel strip mall complex and the vibe is perfect. Upscale and modern Mexican is the perfect description of this place. I was recommended the spicy cucumber margarita and was wanting more, but wanted to try a different cocktail after dinner. I wanted to try all the things so I ordered the chocolate churros (eating dessert first when dining alone is the way to do it), the pear salad and the spicy cauliflower. Everything was delicious! After dinner I noticed a burner on at the end of the bar so I had to ask the reason. They said they make their own caramel for their espresso martinis. I had to try the mini flight to see for myself and WOW! This place knows how to make an espresso martini! They had s'mores and a praline flavor that blew my socks off. They didn't have it in the menu, but they offered it around Valentine's Day and people kept asking for it. It's a no brainer to order if you like espresso martinis.

Ambiance and aesthetics are what you'll find here. Very pleasant atmosphere and well plated food. Perfect for a picture perfect meal. Very slow service on the other hand. Expect long wait times for food and drinks. Smaller portions of food. Potentially 4 beans were in the side of beans. Chips were good and flavorful street tacos!

Great spot to grab a few drinks with friends or colleagues! The margaritas are delicious, you can't taste the alcohol but it is there. I love the raw bar items especially the ahi tuna and marinated scallops. The sea bass is also so buttery! Must try. The pork belly carnitas were a bit dry and I wish they were a bit crisper. The highlight of the night was the grilled shrimp! I love the smell of the grill and the shrimp was plumb and flavorful! Our server, Laura, was exceptional and made our experience one to remember!

Guacamole according to them this was their fresh guacamole that was hot and I don't mean it in a spicy way

0 Stars I would give this place zero stars if I could. There were multiple instances where we felt like we were annoying the staff -- not just one waitress, but two different ones. We had a reservation at 6:30 PM to sit outside, and you'd think the restaurant would make sure the area was comfortable. Instead, our table was in direct sunlight, with no working fans and no canopy coverage. When I politely asked the first waitress if the canopy could be adjusted to give us shade, she seemed irritated, tossed the menus on the table, and walked away. She then sent a different waitress to serve us. The second waitress took a long time to greet us, and she didn't bring water proactively -- even though we were seated outside in the heat. When we asked for water, it took forever to arrive, and we had to keep requesting refills. At one point, I asked if she could just leave a pitcher, and she told me there weren't any available because they were "in the dishwasher." It still took a long time for her to bring one back. When our food finally arrived, the plates that were supposed to be hot came out cold. From the time we were seated at 6:30 to when we left at 8:20, the service was consistently slow and inattentive. To make matters worse, we noticed a big difference in how other guests were treated. One of the original waitresses who acted annoyed with us later seated and warmly served another group -- two women of a different race than us -- with a completely different attitude. She was polite, fast, and attentive with them. That contrast did not go unnoticed by our group. It felt like discrimination, and it was incredibly disappointing. We came expecting to enjoy a nice evening, but the service, treatment, and overall experience were poor. I will not be bringing my family back here again.

Love the setting and wish the owner would change the managment. Every time we come we are underserved waiting for drinks. food is great and faster to come out than the drinks which are also good. More staff and more service no one like/ to wait. We come back every 3 months and say this is why we don't come... so sad such a great place with such opportunity. Managment needs to talk to customers and understand the frustratio

Quite a bit more pricey and pretentious than we were looking for. The service was fine, as was the food.

Well Yelpers, I've found my new fave Northwest Arkansas restaurant! TBH, I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived. It looked like a modernized restaurant with an open kitchen. I opened the door to the restaurant and waited to check in and a handsome young boy asked if I had reservations and I advised I didn't and he asked if I wanted to sit indoor or outdoor. He grabbed a menu and helped me to my table. I was quickly greeted by a staff member and given a glass of water and was told that there isn't an assigned server but that multiple staff members will work together to attend my table. After eating American and Italian food all week on my business travels, I was craving some authentic simple home cooked food and this location brought me virtually home for dinner. For those of you that know me or have been following my review journey, have gotten to know my household ethnicities. When I saw the House 1830 Menu, it was a delightful mix of Vietnamese and Laotian food! The color purple was present from accent walls by the kitchen to my cloth napkin on the plate sets, to the "seasonal" menu font color all tie together with staff uniforms including the outdoor purple umbrella above the outdoor seating space. They even have custom pillows on the bench seating with the House 1830 logos. Susana, one of the owners came to greet me and asked if I've been here before or if it's my first time. She shared that her husband Binh was the head chef today and many patrons typically think it's a fusion restaurant but it's really a family inspired menu that keeps the food as authentic as possible. Binh is Vietnamese and their sister in law Bé is Laotian. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Bé as she was celebrating her birthday elsewhere as she should. Susana shared that her contribution is the inspired cocktail menu...which had so many yummy options that you don't see anywhere else. They had a Lychee Martini on the menu but I see it often everywhere so I ordered the Longan Martini to try and it was delish! I started with my roots and ordered a Vietnamese House Sampler described as a sampling of the crowd favorite starters. Cha Gio | Mini Banh Xeo | Bo Xien Tam for $21. The eggrolls were crispy and had the right amount of filling well seasoned, the Bite-size Banh Xeo shrimp crepes was light and the flash fried marinated beef skewers were seasoned to perfection with a family marinade. Lettuce, cilantro, mint along with the various nuoc cham (dipping sauces) were great! I didn't want to fill up as I wanted one of my favorite Lao dishes Nam Khao - Crispy red curry seasoned rice combined with small chunks of cured pork, and spices. It comes with lettuce, mint, cilantro where you can eat it like a lettuce wrap or eat it as is like fried rice for $18. This light entree for me hit the spot. The staff was exceptional, occasionally stopping g by to check if my water was ok or if I needed anything. I went to check out the bathroom to wash my hands and thought the wall murals were trendy and happy to see the restrooms were clean. I stopped at the open kitchen and complimented the chef and his staff on my delicious meal. They were very cheery and thankful for the compliment. Went back to my table and contemplated another cocktail or dessert but I was really beyond stuffed and figured I'll be back and to save options for my next visit. Chef Binh stopped by my table and we started talking about a little of everything. The restaurant concept, the seasonally inspired menu and to keep things fun for regular diners, shhhh....you didn't hear it from me...but there's even a secret menu that changes often! You'll have to ask or sign up to get the details! You don't get many seasonal menu options from Asian restaurants so I love that they have a seasonal menu and a secret one that only the special members know about! Come check out House 1830! You will not be disappointed yes, I'll be back to visit Binh, Susana and team! Thanks for the hospitality! Thank you, Zerric for the best recommendation! Xoxo

It's very dark and well decorated, and I found it to be exceptionally easy to hold a conversation as it wasn't too loud. The menu is a little confusing, as you have to flip back and forth between the pages using the key to discern what type of alcohol is in each drink (there are symbols next to each drink with no mention of the actual alcohol). Ultimately, I ordered a drink which I enjoyed but wasn't blown away by. Overall I did really enjoy my time here and would happily go back and try other drinks. However, the three other people I was with found it to be incredibly pretentious. Things like unlabeled beer taps might look cool, but they concerned the beer purchaser among us. I'd go back, and plan to, but would recommend you just prepare yourself for a very trendy, hip bar. If that's what you're looking for, this is the place for you. One final note, I'm not sure how accessible this bar is for handicapped individuals. I'm fairly certain the only way to get to it is via the stairs.
