Checked this place out this morning and had the chorizo and eggs breakfast. Portion sizes were on point, not too large or too small. Bacon is fantastic! Truly an awful experience... Not only did I witness the manager stick her fingers inside the community water pitcher to refill it, but there's also 2 tables stored inside of the restroom. I hope they don't expect people to eat on those... lol. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. My parents and I waited over 45 minutes to get our order of just 3 burritos. It was honestly frustrating to see such little food come out of the kitchen. The staff were extremely slow completing orders, and were incapable of answering basic, rudimentary questions. If you're in the mood for sub-par Mexican food, by all means come here and risk leaving unsatisfied. This little hole in the wall has a great breakfast. I got the huevo con chorizo (which was a tad cold) but otherwise tastes great. Lolita's is a little family hole in the wall. The sign on the door reads: Profanity is not permitted here. My respect was earned. Breakfast tacos are cheap and tasty. My parents eat here just about every single Saturday morning for breakfast. I'm sure if my mom or my dad were writing this review there would be two more stars highlighted up there. But this is me and I have to say... they really need some NON-EGG options on their breakfast menu because I just don't eat those nasty things. So, since I was there I ended up with a enchilada, taco, rice and beans. The taco was just ok, the enchilada wasn't cooked long enough because the cheese wasn't melted. And well... you just can't do much to rice and beans. The Horchata and the Chips were the best part of the meal. I had good hopes for breakfast (since the Taqueria in Hewitt has the best pancakes ever)... but I think the next time I'm in town on a Saturday, I'll just sleep in and let my parents go eat their migas. read more

I was a bit apprehensive, because they ALL had potato in them, and I'm not a big fan of potato and egg, but they did this right, so I may be a convert! Over the weekend we visited my roommates brother in law for a diaper party. Saturday night was a success and so we woke up super hungry on Sunday. We decide to go here at the request of a Waco native. We get there and it was not really busy ( by the looks of the restaurant). I order two tacos to go. The wait was at least an hour. When I finally get back to the house to eat, I find that the tacos were not even that good. The tortillas were not home made and the tacos were bland at that. Lolitas is my favorite restaurant in the world. In high school I ate here every Sunday after church. I still crave the elephante breakfast burrito smothered in their queso weekly. Lolitas is also the only place that I approve of getting chips and queso for breakfast. To wash everything down, be sure and grab one of their delicious cookies. So, I come here often and the food is great! But the costumer service was terrible, so bad that I litterally made a yelp account so I could write this review. The young girl they have at the register was extremely rude and every time we asked for anything we we're given attitude back. Food is pretty good, but the service is awful. People saying the service is good, I have no idea who you are encountering. It's been unpleasant every time I've been. Very conveyor belt approach to taking your order. And the people who bring out your food act like this is the absolute last thing on earth they want to do. Today, I placed an order at the counter. Didn't get asked if it was for here or to go. I sat with my friends who already had their food, and I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. No one came to bring me my food. In the 30 minute wait they came into the dining area once to bring food. I finally went up to check on it, and the guy just handed me a bag. Like I was supposed to just go up there at some point and ask for it. As they're not the only Tex-Mex operation in town, I will not be returning.
