Okay, the nachos were great and the margarita was strong, so I have to give them kudos where they're due! I think the key is knowing what you're getting when you come here. This is fast-casual Mexican food, and once I realized that, it actually reminded me of a place I absolutely loved in college. Had I understood the concept before walking in, my expectations would have been completely different. The nachos were delicious, and the margarita definitely did its job! If you're looking for good, casual food and a fun, quick stop, you'll probably be very happy here. But if you're looking for ambience, sit-down table service, or a handcrafted margarita rather than one that comes pre-made from a machine, this isn't that kind of place. Go in knowing what it is, and enjoy it for what it does well! read more

As first-timers at Lola's, we were genuinely impressed. From the moment we walked in, the fast-casual atmosphere and kindness of the staff stood out and made for a great experience. The menu has tons of options, the portions are generous, and the prices feel very reasonable. The guac was fantastic. I ordered the Cali Burrito without meat or cheese, and it was absolutely delicious and still full of flavor. One detail I really appreciated was that the chips came out hot and the dips were served in to-go containers, which made it easy to pack up leftovers and take them home. Their red salsa had a delicious smoky flavor and is definitely worth ordering. My husband tried the elote corn and really enjoyed it. It had a bit of heat, but the portion size and flavor made it well worth it. Overall, we had a great experience and already know we'll be back. We may have found a new favorite spot! read more

This side of town desperately needs more ethnic restaurants. Lola's Taco Bar is a nice addition to Mack Avenue, but I had higher expectations for the quality and authenticity of its food. I really enjoyed Mezcal Express in Dearborn and was anticipating a similar level of quality from Lola's. Unfortunately, Lola's feels a lot more like fast food or a high end Chipotle. Mezcal Express is also fast casual but the restaurant is owned by and hires people who share the same culture as the food they serve which makes a huge difference in the taste and authenticity. Lola's is a decent option for burritos and tacos on the east side but there is a lot of room for improvement. read more

Just brought home, my carryout, and my goodness it's delicious. The original margarita is outstanding. I wish I bought two more to go. I had al pastor and flavor was out of this world. Perfect blend of everything that you want in this taco. I have two more to try, which I will eat later on tonight, but I will absolutely back! The service was outstanding as well. read more

Lola's is a cute location with fabulous food! The lobster tacos and quesadillas were The standouts. I love the app discount. However, the man with purple hair was super rude while we were ordering for no reason, he could work on his delivery and way with words, I know this from being in the restaurant industry for years. read more

‍ 2 Steak Trompo Tacos, 2 Baja Shrimp Tacos, Spicy Street Corn, Orange Mojo Rice, 3 Beans, Chips & salsa, a margarita, & a Modelo....all for just under $50, good value The service was fast and friendly (& they were packed), the salsa was good, Tacos were delicious, loved the corn. There was a lot of energy in the room & vibrant decor. We thought they were doing a great job (especially for a new business). I didn't really taste the orange flavor in the Mojo Rice, but it was good. read more

Service was good. Food made me sad. Beef burrito was bitter and mushy, other tacos to we're dry and wanting. Tortillas were blah. Place was clean. read more

Welcome to the neighborhood, Lola's! So excited to have another dining option in Grosse Pointe Woods! Love the always changing selection of tacos, burritos, and bowls. The chips, salsas, and guac are so fresh and flavorful. And the margaritas (both frozen and on the rocks) are delicious and a great value. Their patio is so nice, and they have happy hour deals every day! read more

I love new things. Blame it on my ADHD. Lola's is new and much needed. The Pointes lacks solid fare options. I was overall really pleased with Lola. My Baja shrimp taco was yummy. The salsa was spicy, the nachos were good, I highly recommend the 3 bean mix for $3 and my margarita was darn good. I left full and satisfied for $20. The manager is on it too. Nothing but good things to say about Lola's. read more

Waited almost one hour for two cold tacos on paper plates. Everyone here waited at least 45 minutes. It wasn't that busy.

The food was good and the service was fine. I do feel the menu is a bit confusing as to what is what and if I can make substitutions or remove items. Other than that all good read more

Cold chicken taco. So gross. Was missing the salsa. Even worse. Wanted to sit outside but every table had food crumbs and had a layer of dirt on them. The margarita and chips were good. Queso was made incorrectly. Not sure we will be back. Not even sure there was a manager on site. Expensive! read more

Food is good, but service sucks!! Waited a half hour just to place order and still waiting another hour later and no food! This place will close- not because of the food, but because of the slow, bad service! Sad! read more

It took an hour to get our food, half of which arrived cold. All customers were unhappy and complaining. Everyone was going to the counter multiple times carrying their table # trying to get their food. It was a reasonable sized crowd, so it's not that the place was overwhelmed with customers. One and done. read more

Baja shrimp taco was WAY too salty, as if multiple people passed by and salted it. Steak trompo tacos were okay, and chicken tacos were meh. Chicken burrito was just okay. The tortillas were run of the milll grocery store type, not even heated or grilled. Salsa had zero kick to it. It's a small place, and decor is kind of kitschy. Service was pretty quick, but hardly anyone was there. Chipotle has NOTHING to be concerned about. Probably won't go back. I REALLY wanted to like it. read more

We thought about trying this Taco bar, nicely decorated, liked the patio, but for the price and size of the tacos they could do better, not going back! read more

We stopped in for lunch today and we're very impressed. It's nice to be greeted when you walk in. The food was delicious and at a fair price. We enjoyed our tacos and burritos. It's also nice that you can have a beer with lunch. We will definitely be back. read more

This place has overpriced food and okay service. We paid more than $30 for 4 tiny tacos and a couple of drinks. Table on the patio was sticky. Music was on point but you can't eat vibes. This one's for people who have unlimited funds who aren't too particular read more

Rotisserie chicken taco was completely uninspired and flavorless. But at least they were edible. Their "carnitas" was pork in a form I've never seen called carnitas before. It tasted like BBQ sauce, I've never been served carnitas that tastes like BBQ sauce. And the meat quality was so poor my very first bite had a bone in it! I almost broke a tooth. I was trying to support a local business, but this place ain't it unless something big changes read more

Slammed busy! COMPLETELY screwed up Our take out order. They gave us 2 orders of French fries instead of our$30 taco order. Not worth the trip back to complain. Chaos in the restaurant. An absolute no for us going back there! read more

Portions were extremely small and took a very long time to get to our table. Only received half the order and items that we hadn't ordered. Nice atmosphere though. read more

I went here with high expectations I left with stomach distress I should have known when my food came on a paper plate I was in for a bad time. I would have less intestinal distress eating a bag of sugar free gummy bears. Not one spice was harmed making my tacos. The service was meh it is like you don't remember the weather before your in a crash with a toilet. read more

My experience was not great on August 8th 2026. I ordered a taco and upgraded to a combo to add an addt'l amount for chips and salsa and margarita when I reviewed my receipt I was charged more than the price on the menu on the wall and paper menu. When I informed the manager about this overcharge she tried to blame it on taxes being added to the combo charge as if I do not know how to read a receipt. The register is priced higher than whats advertised so EVERYONE BEWARE OF LOLAS TACO BAR IN GROSSE POINTE and WATCH YOUR RECEIPTS. My first and last time going there!! Just think of how many people are being overcharged that they are stealing money from...steak was tough on my taco and not cooked all the way, chips was not good at all I suggest purchasing some tortilla chips from the grocery store you are located across from Kroger!! read more

We had a wonderful day experience at Lola's. The menu was not overwhelming, but it covered quite a bit All the ingredients were fresh and delicious The Waite staff were top-notch The restaurant and bathroom were extremely clean and well organized Just a heads up if you plan on going at dinner time there's a bit of a wait and it's a small dining area so maybe take out. We went at 2 o'clock on a Saturday and it was pretty well filled I am going back on Monday. I liked it so well. read more

I would have given them 5 stars; however, I have to go back for that. First day opening a little busy so please pack your patience and give them grace. All I can say is I ordered a variety of tacos and they were packed with flavor!!! They did not disappoint with the meat. I'm so excited about having this place in the community! I will be back to try other things on the menu. It's definitely a sit down place.. nice and casual. read more

Lola's is one of those spots that just gets it right. Great atmosphere, genuinely friendly staff, and food that tastes fresh every single bite. Nothing felt rushed, nothing felt off -- just a smooth, enjoyable experience start to finish. Also... the pricing for the quality? Hard to beat. Easy 10/10. This will be a regular stop for us. read more

Tacos on flour tortillas were outstanding--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, with tortillas that were soft and yummy. And the queso? Spectacular. Rich, creamy, and dangerously addictive--the kind you keep "just one more bite"-ing until it's gone. This place has a great vibe that makes you want to settle in and enjoy! Definitely coming back for more! read more

Thank you Lola's for coming to town. The concept is perfect. You want to hang out and eat in, grab a yummy margarita, and have it all in a causal environment. Amazing vibe. The food was exceptional. Came in today. Understandably busy and things might take a minute to come out but about an hour wait for take out and everything was cold and the order was wrong. Again, I get it- new place working out some kinks. Slimy cold chicken isn't really my jam tho. Service was great! Everyone had a giant smile and willing to lend a hand with ordering. Owners/managers there to help facilitate. Will give it a few weeks to come back and try again. read more

The food was good but was disappointed that with 4 people behind the line cooking they wouldn't add cheese or lettuce to my taco. Was told no additions but they could take things off. The street corn wasn't what I expected. It was closer to a corn soup, very spicy. The French fries were so salty we couldn't at them. It was closer to a Culver's restaurant with the service than what was expected. Employees were very helpful and service was quick. Restaurant was very clean too. read more

Incredible food and excellent service! Tony is the man! The Cali Style burrito with Baja Shrimp is unreal. Love this place. Will be back!

The food is at least as good as Chipotle but not as good as Condado tacos. The seating is uncomfortable and they serve the food on paper plates which is unappealing. Glad there is a taco option in the neighborhood though. read more
