Have to update my review after a bad experience here. The card reader for one of the large machines malfunctioned and locked up after scanning my card and resetting itself without running. I communicated with the owner via text as it was happening and included pictures of the card reader. The owner apologized and took my credit card info but never credited the charge or responded to my follow-up a week later. A month later I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. You lost a good 10 year customer over $10. read more

BEWARE of this ripoff place. if i wanted to gamble, i'd go to reno. ive been a customer for 3 years and ive seen it truly downslide. not only is it dirty most of the time...im SICK of wasting money in the "dryers" only to find after 40-50 minutes on HIGH - clothes come out damp, at best. i continued to use it since i like large dryers and washers (altho very few of them) but im tired of wasting money and getting nothing in return. use this place at your risk - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. truly wish i could give it NO STARS. there are better laundromats in town, im sure and so now...the search is on. read more

Really bad one. You will have to pay to almost every dryer to see which one work I. Order to use it. Spent about 6 dollars trying to find the one that actually works. Avoid at absolutely all costs. This laundromat is a perfect storm of incompetence. No attendant, broken dryers that may still charge your card, and the "working" dryers leave clothes damp after full cycles. No parking, no sink, no standards. For a business that exists solely to serve people without washers and dryers, they've managed to make doing laundry exponentially worse than it already is. The machine says they take Amex and discover but it keeps on declining when it tries to process so they probably disabled, unfortunate false advertising. Price is about the same as other places. Apparently if you buy a laundry card you can get discounts but see other posts for laundry card and coin issues read more

Put a $5 bill into the coin machine to get quarters so that I can get detergent and the machine dispensed dollar coins... which it does not take. Had to walk to a local store enable to get change. Finally got change and went to use the machine, doesn't work. Had to walk back to Safeway to get laundry soap. Then I put my stuff to wash and pay the $6 wash digitally, and it charged me and started washing only to get an error code half way thru. I put coins in the dryer to try and start the dryer and the dryer did not start, had to use digital wallet and lost my coins... waste of time and energy. Try somewhere else. read more

Decent place to have my laundry done. It is only a few blocks away from my home and commercial grade washers/dryers work great so far. The place is usually clean and not too busy depending on what time you go. They use credit cards for payment - only issue sometimes is when I try to add more minutes for the dryer, it'll add a whole new cycle instead of increasing by 25 cents. Also there isn't a way to cancel your credit card payment after it is inserted - I lost some money due to this since the dryer wasn't operating properly and I had to move to another machine. read more

1 star for the convenience of this laundromat being just two blocks from where I live. Aside from always being dirty. The machines are terrible. If you are paying with quarters. I highly suggest feeding the machine first to make sure you didn't load your laundry in for nothing. I loaded the number 17 washer with all my clothes. Tried to feed coins. It took .75cents and trying to get it back wasn't working. So I had to unload everything and loaded to the machine next to it. This always happens the few times I come. Yes they take card, but there are times where I'm charged just partial for the machine and the rest charges days later. And there was a time I was overcharged. So that's why I prefer paying cash. Also, for the dryer machines. It's such a waste having it take card. Why? Because when you're trying to swipe for an extra .25cents to go to the bottom dryer, it charges to the top. Frustrating. Also, back to making sure you feed the machine first to make sure it works before loading. Dryer 27 took .50cents. As I was trying to dry my clothes. So I had to unload both the top and bottom to move it over to 28. I only come here for the convenience of it being nearby my house. This is literally my last resort when I need to get my clothes washed. Also, there aren't enough carts. There's only 4 carts. 2 of which you can take out with you to help transfer clothes to and from car. There were 8 people in here doing wash when I got in all trying our best to share the carts. read more

Turns out their dryer doors won't stay shut either. All my stuff was on the floor because door wasn't secure

My washer broke and after two attempts at getting a repair guy to actually fix it, I had to go to the laundry mat. This place isn't clean. The tables were ok for folding clothes and the dryers were ok, but the washer's looked like they hadn't been wiped off in a while. The floor was dirty and the chairs were broken or dirty. Since this is a neighborhood place it looks like most people put their laundry in and then wander downtown Millbrae. I was the only person who decided to hang out and read while waiting for my laundry to finish. Unless you have something to do in downtown Millbrae, I would recommend going somewhere else. I believe there's another laundry mat at the north end of the downtown, but across El Camino. A few more negatives... * the change machines didn't take the new style dollar bills. * No bathroom. * Week old newspapers laying around (which gives a good idea of how often someone passes through to clean up) On the plus side...not much of a crowd, great location, stays open late, and no waiting for machines (at least when I went). read more

This place is a big no for me. It's small and not great if you have tons of laundry to do and every dryer or washer is taken because this place is so small. The floor was dirty and there were dryer sheets everywhere, on the floors, left in the dryers and in the rolling carts. Bugs flying every where and it's so not worth it. Definitely will not be coming back here. It's too small, dirty and the washer machine ruined pairs of my socks because it got stuck in the rubber seal of the washer. Never seems to pick up the phone. 3) Wish the owner fixed the washers/driers that go bad. At the current rate, none will be working in a few months time. 4) Wish the place oustide was a bit more well-lit. The owner that took this place over owner is often there, cleaning, improving (he's added new machines, fixed bad dryers, improved the floor, etc). I've run into him several times, and he always asks how things are going, if the machines are all working, and reminds me to call the posted number if I notice a machine is not working. Overall, I really enjoy doing my laundry here, and if you don't want to stick around a read a book or magazine, there's plenty to do in the neighborhood. read more

Used to love this laundromat. I still go occasionally but don't like so much anymore. Always messy. No paper towels. Pretty expensive. Not enough seating. I'm a senior citizen with a bad knee. Most times I stand the whole time. New dryers were installed. Those are great. Some of the other dryers could be adjusted to be hotter. You keep adding quarter after quarter and clothes are still damp. There is a metal bench and an old wood bench. That is it for seating. read more

I'm glad I found this laundromat. I used to go to Mr Mrs Bubbles in Burlingame to wash my big comforters. I couldn't find parking there, so voila Millbrae, even closer to where I live. This place is so convenient, very safe, nobody there waiting, they just leave their stuff, pick up and go. Parking is so easy. Great neighborhood. I think the owner lives behind that laundromat. Suddenly I saw a red haired woman sweeping the floor out of nowhere. She disappeared again thru the back door that connects to the house behind. You can see from the back window. She's a little strange, but didn't really see the face. lol. They don't have the giant machine like Mr Bubbles has, so I can put 2 queen size comforters together. But, no problem for me. It's kinda dated, they need to clean more, more organized, otherwise it's great. I really like how quiet there, noones watching you with strange eyes, what do you wash, what do U do etc. I can walk down to Broadway Ave to get my dinner and come back.
