I've been to Lola's many many times, it's been through a few different owners. Once named Oriental Express, to Lolitas and now Lola's. What can I say, I'm a big fan. It's the experience I really enjoy, the staff is friendly and the food is good. Their menu rotates quite a bit and you have to be open minded going in and willing to try new/different stuff. My favorite dish is Bikol Express, Pork with coconut milk and some zest. Taro leaves, sweet and sour wings and adobo are also wonderful. I usually avoid adobo, pancit and spring rolls because our town is overrun with those Filipino staples, but adobo is good none the less. I also enjoy the TVs with the goofy(by American standards) shows, the mixed in English you can barely tell what's going on. This is not a fine dining restaurant, it's very much a hole in the wall experience, don't expect much else. the $10 2 item meal also comes with soup, but you have to ask for it.
An off menu drink/desert which is tasty is called Halo Halo. Give it a try. read more
