    Pineapple jalapeño margarita
    Markiesa B.

I've been here a few times and it's a cute little beach style bar. It does get crowded in here so I would advise to come early or you'll be standing. Our server was friendly and we ordered a few drinks. I got a painkiller as well as a pineapple jalapeño margarita. Both drinks were good and a good price. Only thing I didn't like was the automatic gratuity they add after 9 pm. Parking can be a bit difficult as well .

I adored my experience at Lola's. It was fairly quiet when we visited, and the wait staff was really friendly. I ordered their signature nachos dish and a frozen margarita. The margarita was probably my favorite margarita that I've had over the last couple years. It was really delicious and refreshing. On top of that the nachos were just The ingredients tasted fresh and everything came together really nicely. It was exactly what I needed on that day and left me walking away from the restaurant extremely happy. The one thing I'll mention is that it's a fairly small shop. On a nice day, there is outdoor seating, but otherwise there is pretty limited seating inside. If you are a fan of nachos like myself, I'd make sure to not miss this place... In fact, I think it's time to make my way back soon

Lola's Beach Bar is such a cool and laid back spot! This was the first stop on our bad hopping journey. The bar was already pretty packed, but we were able to find some high top seats! Before we knew it there was nothing but standing room. To drink I had their rum punch which was absolute heaven! I felt like I was vacationing at the beach at a tiki bar! We didn't get to try any food while we were there, but from what I saw and smell it seems like it would be very tasty! They have a variety of nachos and burritos which are perfect for soaking up some delicious adult beverages! Despite this place being busy the server was very attentive to us and checked in frequently for our refills. Whether you're a local or Raleigh or passing through on a trip, I'd recommend checking out this local spot!

Cute little beach themed bar. A great place for fun margaritas and drinks. It's a little small so would be hard to bring a larger group but a nice cozy vibe. Food was decent but nothing spectacular. A good cheap taco margarita spot. The service was good as well!

It was packed last night. Not a very spacious place, yet they have food, cocktails and beer. We got there late so the kitchen had already closed for the night. The relaxed ambiance was inviting and perfect to enjoy a drink to catch up w friends.

Fun little spot with great drinks. The wait staff was fantastic. We went on Cinco de Mayo so the place was packed but we were able to score two seats at the bar. Our waitress was amazing with how many times she checked on us with the amount of people there. We loved every drink we tried. The tacos were pretty good but the drinks were definitely the star of the show.

What a cool spot located off of Glenwood just around the corner from Hayes Barton. There is not a lot of seating so prepare to be sharing long tables with others. The food here was delicious, the burrito was a perfect size filled with so much chicken! The drink are great and honestly quite large for the price! Not pictured is the trio of dips (queso, guacamole, and salsa) which was nice! The chips are fresh and crunchy but be aware the salsa has a good bit of kick to it! This place has such a cool atmosphere for both eating and drinking! Parking can be a little challenging so just be aware if you are trying to be on time.

A small bartop seating area by one of the doors. And my drink.

Stopped in here for a drink while waiting on another restaurant to open and pick up my to-go order. This review is based solely off of ordering one margarita and not eating food. Will update of I eat here. Is a beachy setup (hence the "Beach Bar" of the name) with a small, but nice, outdoor area to sit at and people watch along the Hayes-Barton Pharmacy intersections. No "wait to be seated" so I just found an open spot. Took a few minutes for a s server to come out and say hello but it certainly wasn't excessive waiting. Staff is friendly. The Margarita I ordered was the Angels Rita (1800 & Citronage). I asked for it to be made without the agave nectar or any sweet and sour. I like my Margarita definitively unsweetened. This is one of their middle-of-the-road options and not The most expensive. Honestly, I didn't really care for it. The glass has way too much ice in it, it was fairly weak tasting, and they still out in some sort of sweetened additive (guessing sweet & sour) anyway which pretty much guaranteed I wouldn't like it. Had o ordered it as-is I would have just chalked it up to my own forgetfulness but having asked for no sweetener added it was disappointing. I allow for the fact that my tastes aren't the norm on that and it's not the first time someone might have thought "surely he doesn't want ANY sweetener added" but, yeah...I don't. I took several sips but just wasn't enjoying it so I cashed out and left. No negative experiences with the staff or anything to complain about service wise, simply didn't enjoy the one drink I tried. May give them another shot and try some good to give it a more holistic review.

I personally liked this place a lot! I could see it not being everyone's cup of tea though! The drinks were strong and cheap but inconsistent. We had the gnarly nachos and tacos and I really enjoyed it. Nothing to write home about but I will absolutely be back! Pretty small space but great place to grab a bite and start your night or to stop in for a few drinks and food for a chill night. I ubered tonight but curious where you park?

Hit this spot for tacos after being at happy hour. It was quick and tasty, but nothing special about the food. Casual cabana in a garage feeling to the space. I'd give it a try again.

Nachos just have unmelted shredded cheese on them...

The waitstaff wasn't really wearing masks as they should. The people that were there were loud and obnoxious. The food was pretty meh. Probably won't come back. Not worth the price or the trip. The nachos had unmelted shredded cheese on them. Never have I seen that in my life.

Trio of dips and tacos! Notice the romaine shell :)

We love Lola's! I'm so happy with what they've done to this spot. I've seen a revolving door of failed businesses but this cute taco place will definitely be here for awhile. I love the food. My husband can't have gluten so we love their romaine shell option. The trio of dips is superb. Great margaritas. My only complaints would be no kids menu and the seating is a little high and uncomfortable for smaller kids. I kind of think they're not wanting kids in the establishment which I get but it's a neighborhood restaurant so kids are going to be there. It would be nice to at least have kids menu options for them, even if it's a verbal menu.

When you arrive, there is plenty of parking around the building, and entrances in the front and on the right side. Once inside, you'll walk up to counter and place your order. Your then given a order number and it's open seating. Your number will be called out in Spanish when your food is ready and you'll pick it up at the counter. I ordered an al pastor taco which unfortunately was not good. It came out extremely cold and needed a lot of salsa for it to have any flavor. I also ordered a steak burrito which was much better and was served with melted cheese on the top. There were fatty pieces throughout the burrito but this was far better than the taco. Lastly, I ordered a horchata but it tasted like grainy and wasn't great. If I'm in the area again I may give this a try but I'd definitely stick with a burrito so your food is hot.

Ironworks is a mixed use environment with vendors hawking wears under canopies, alongside brick and mortar stores, shops, and restaurants. Little Rey's (IMO) is Alpaca Restaurant meets Mexican in the best way possible. The line for the food was a solid 30-45 minute wait. So don't be like me, have a seat, pull out your phone, use the code on the table, view menu, and order and pay. However, they have employees who greet customers and begin your drink menu while you wait in line. We ordered the half chicken, Gringa tacos, guacamole, and queso. Little Rey has a pretty extensive salsa bar, with approximately 7-8 varieties. The salsa bar spans the gambit from mild, mid-hot, smoky, and creamy options. The star of the show is the smoked chicken! So good with the corn tortilla, green salsa, grilled onions and grilled jalapeño! Moving forward I'll add an order of the chicken taco to get the perfect bit without the mess! The Gringa/Picadillo taco was good. And while I am a Gringa, and I love a Taco Bell sour cream situation, that almost mayonnaise flavor didn't sit well with my soul. However, the meat itself was super flavorful. I'd ditch the flour tortilla for corn , and opt for another salsa, add pico, and I think we are there. We weren't a fan of the rice, if I'm being honest - but will try again. While I didn't try any alcoholic beverages on this round, I'm stoked to try on my next visit. Plenty of seating, but can get awkward if there are long lines. The party is outside, so that maybe your best bet. Looking forward to grabbing a group of friends for round dos! Northern Mexican: 4.4444
