This was a little girl's birthday gift that arrived after her birthday. Seeing the other reviews, I'm sure the skirt will fall apart right away. EXPENSIVE but adorably sparkly kidswear. Some accessories and whatnot. We bought my 3 year old daughter a unicorn ballerina stuffed animal that she adores. Service was subpar but not that big of a deal. I did walk up to the seated person and ask "do you work here?" because I truly couldn't tell and she made no effort to assist us when we obviously had questions about pricing. The middle strap, which was pictures as pink/blue/purple, is instead cheap looking with blocky rainbow colors. Never shop here. Beware!!!! Unbelievably rude staff. Store has inventory tagged at a price yet refuses to honor the ticketed price. Nothing more to say than a straight lie. After ringing the item we tried to purchase at the correct price of $52, the associate for some reason decided not to honor the tagged price, ripped the tag in half in front of us and instructed her colleague to go behind our backs and remove the tags off all the other like items. Never before have I been treated so poorly by a retail company. We have shopped here so frequently we were greeted with a hello and nice to see you again. I just ordered a birthday outfit for my daughter. Initially I thought I had ordered in time for her birthday but then when it hadn't shipped after a few days I got nervous it wouldn't come in time. I emailed customer service and the auto response said I'd hear back in 24-48 hours but I got a response in just 2 hours. They were able to upgrade my shipping to 2 day and they reached out to the warehouse to make sure it would go out in the next 24 hours. It arrived with four days to spare! The outfit is adorable! Absolutely horrible customer service. The dress that I ordered for my little girl was $45 and I needed to exchange it for a smaller size. Not only did they tell me the dress was not available (when it was), they said I had to pay for the return shipping costs of $10, an additional $8 fee (no idea what this fee is for), and another $10 to ship the item back to me in a different size. It's important to note that I already paid $10 in shipping for the initial order. So, for a dress that costs $45, they are making me $38 in shipping costs and fees. Not to mention that the dress is also damaged and I need to return it. They stopped responding to emails and won't let me exchange the dress. I have no choice but to pay the return shipping, explain to my daughter why she can't have the Christmas tree dress that she wanted so badly, and dispute the charge with my bank to recoup some of the money. This review is for the company. In November, I ordered a custom patch denim jacket. The jacket arrived with patches falling off, and one that was not even attached. There's no way this would stand a single wash. I wrote customer service and was sent back and forth for months. I was supposed to be contacted by the warehouse and never heard anything back. Their clothing is sparkly, bright, trendy...and my 9 year old daughter's absolute favorite brand. I've been shopping their clothing online since they first launched since their kids clothing is beyond adorable and also love the idea of supporting a local Chicago mom business. Their boy clothing is also adorable for my sons. To be honest the womens clothing line is a little tacky for me, although if I wanted to match my daughter in head to toe sparkles this would be the place to shop. They have awesome sales so I tend to wait for those online. And I learned a long time ago that it's not worth buying kids clothing for full price when they grow so darn fast! However, my daughter and I have done a few shopping excursions at Water Tower and she always gets me for lots of clothing items at Lola, both on sale and full price. It's even cuter when shopping in person and hard to resist. The sales reps are so friendly and my daughter especially took to Lizzie the last time when we were in the store. Before I knew it they were wearing matching sparkly jackets (which I ended up purchasing). The quality of the items is fair. We've had a few rips, holes in knees etc...which is unfortunate for the price. Then again kids can be tough on their clothes so guess it's not that surprising. Yet another reason to buy on sale. Two problems: First, I ordered adorable unicorn slippers for "age 5-6." No real sizes were available. I did research to find that this age group is about a 9-10 toddler/kid size, maybe 11. I received them and they were huge. I could pretty much get my size 8-8 1/2 adult foot in them. Second problem. $30 slippers for which I paid $10 in shipping. Either I could return them and pay $7.00 or get $23.00 in credit and probably pay another shipping charge. A label was provided to make the return. But, at the end of the day, I paid $17.00 for nothing. Two stars because the slippers were cute. Can't comment about the quality. read more
