I'm switching to Public Storage down the road for half of my new price.

I reserved my truck online for a 9 am pick-up. I went in to grab it and there was a long line with only one person working. We ended up waiting over 30 minutes before we got our actually truck. They did extend out return time 30 minutes to compensate. The lady working didn't seem super friendly. She was a bit annoyed (I get it, long line & you're the only one working) & you could defiantly tell when she spoke. Overall it was a decent experience. I would go back but maybe get there early or try to do a phone pick up.

They wrapped a lot of items in plastic. We moved from a 2nd level 2-bed 1-bath apt. to a 1-story home. I would have appreciated better estimates from the company. We were quoted an hourly rate and a 1-hr travel fee. The estimated time was 2 hours and for arrival at 3 PM. The arrival time was 5 PM, and the move lasted until after 10 PM. So the time estimates were not correct. This also increased the travel fee. So 5 hours labor, the travel fee, plus gas mileage expense, and some supplies, for everything including the $100 deposit, it was $1,300 to move. I was a bit shocked but maybe that's normal with today's prices. There were no issues with the move.

We are not from the area and this was just a really disappointing experience. we offered to help them load the truck ourselves and begged them to still move them because the lease was up and the girls HAD to move out. Renting a storage unit with this company, at this location, was the least stressful part of my move! I initially was transferred to their national switchboard to make my reservation because I called the local number after hours. The agent was very helpful, and based on fact that I only needed a unit for less than 1 month, suggested I get one of the "first month free" units. She gave me a "total price" of around $20, and affirmed that's all I would pay if I only needed it for 1 month. Of course this wasn't the full amount at checkout, which ended up including things like: rental insurance, administrative fees, the required purchase of their lock (which is a very nice lock to keep), and taxes. That being said, I had a little price shock (paid around $80, including a wardrobe box I wanted) only because of what I was told on the phone. However, the on-site customer service was so great I still had an awesome experience and recommend this facility! Property manager, June, clearly described all the fees & also offered me a smaller unit which still qualified for their special. She was funny & kind, making the stress of moving a bit more lighthearted! This location does not offer 24 hr access (which I kinda like for security reasons), but at my request, June granted my family after hrs access for a few days to help with the initial unloading. I was out before the next month and wasn't charged anything else! If you need a month-to-month storage unit (for long or short term), I'd recommend this location.
