But she was attentive enough and pleasant. Ambiance was that of a steakhouse. Nothing spectacular. Quiet night. Food. Ordererd the 12oz ribeye (medium) baked potato, caesar salad. Salad was good (hard to screw up a salad in my opinion although I've seen it done). Steak was cooked correctly but was exceptionally salty. Really a turn off for me. Went in on a dreary weeknight, and was seated immediately. My server was on the spot to take my drink order, which came back quickly. She came back and took my order, which was mildly customized, and got it in and back with no problems. The staff was friendly across the board, and the server took great care of me without being intrusive. The food quality was just right for me, and tasted great, and the price wasn't bad at all. It took an hour to get our food (table of 9). Pre-COVID. Logan's was known for poor service. They closed temporarily and post-COVID it appears they picked up where they left off. I had the Porterhouse steak, sweet potato, and brocolli. The food took forever to come out and our server was slow to refill drinks. My steak passed the A1 test, (didn't need to add any). We went here shortly after moving to Fredericksburg, and we liked it. We went there several times & were happy with the food & service. We don't go out to eat that often & hadn't gone there for a while. The last time we went we were dissatisfied with the food quality & the cleanliness. The 2nd side for my meal (side salad) was not provided, and the salad dressing for my wife's Cobb salad and for my side salad was not provided. When we called the restaurant my wife was told that DoorDash provides the delivery service, so we would have to take this up with them. I ordered the food on-line, on the Logan's roadhouse website, so I would have expected the restaurant to compensate us for the missing food, not DoorDash. To the best of my knowledge the DoorDash delivery person picks up the bag of food labeled with my name and address and brings it to me. I don't believe he/she or any other DoorDash employee is responsible for putting the food ordered in the bag to be delivered. The food was inedible (from the potato skins to the filet to the ribs to the chicken, all bad). They were also out of several things on their menu, drinks and food. Well, the rolls were great! Wish I could say the same for the rest. The filet was overcooked and burned when I first received it. Sent it back to the kitchen and was then brought one that was medium. What a terrible experience. Usually a chain steakhouse/roadhouse you really can't go wrong, but Logan's gets it all wrong. Service was... weird. No one was in the restaurant and it took awhile before we were acknowledged at the front door. Fine, it was early afternoon on a weekday. But then our server almost was whispering when interacting with us, and while I'm not a fan of a server who hovers and fills your water 10x, this was the total opposite. To the point the people sitting behind us had to yell across the dining room "Yoo-hoo!" because they had been waiting for god knows how long for their check (they looked finished when we were first seated). The food. GOD AWFUL. Oh my god. I can't say enough bad things. I was starving (and six months pregnant!) so the free rolls, acceptable. But in hindsight they were bland and chewy. The butter even tasted off, almost gritty. We ordered the fried pickles to start. WAY too salty. And looked like something you'd get at a fair set up in a strip mall parking lot. We ate them of course because it's friend pickles, it is what it is even at their worst. I order the filet mignon with a loaded baked potato and Caesar salad. Caesar salad was OK. They didn't put the dressing on it, instead it was on the side. If I'm getting a Caesar salad at a steak place, I'd prefer it tossed together beforehand. But otherwise probably the most palatable thing I ordered. When my potato and steak came out... I was extremely disappointed. On top of the fact that the aloof server told us we had to cut into our steaks in front of her before she could walk away. It all just looked sad. Like something you'd get for dinner at your aunt's house who sucks at cooking. The filet tasted like cooked meat. No flavor, no juice, not tender (despite only getting it medium rare). And the outside edges were cooked well done making every portion of the steak just not enjoyable. I couldn't finish it. The potato was only loaded with sour cream and cheese. No chives or bacon bits like the average experience at a place like this. It's hard to mess up a hot potato and even this I couldn't finish. My husband ordered the surf and turf (see photo--LOL). The steak looked like a rubber child's toy. The shrimp looked congealed together. The rice was gross. He got it with the baked beans and corn, which were probably canned which is why they were OK instead of not edible. And the piece de resistance? The "crab cakes" it came with and the ramikan of orange mayo they tried to call "garlic dill sauce." ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The steak entree was supposed to come with rice and 2 sides but was instead served like an appetizer with chips. The fries I got as a side were too hard to break by hand. This very rude and disrespectful worker kept accusing my and my granddaughter for multiple things, First when i granddaughter walked in she asked to use the bathroom and she rudely told her, it's over there now, and when i came in I explained that she went to the bathroom and she immediately said yeah it's over here, so once again i was trying to explain that we would like to be seated and then it finally clicked in her mind and we got seated, about 10 minutes went by and my granddaughter went to the car to get a jacket after I just came back from moving it, and while she was coming back in the same lady was walking towards her then when she came in she immediately turned around and said oh, as if they were going to go check to make sure she didn't leave. My husband and I have eaten at this Logan's a couple of times. It can truly be hit or miss. The last time we ate there, we were seated in the bar area and our steak was made perfect! We stopped in last night, and it was certainly not 'medium well', but rather 'very well done'. My husband and I knew exactly what we wanted to order as soon as we walked in, as we used to frequent the Logan's in Manassas, Va pretty frequently. This particular Logan's sits down by the Spotsylvania Towne Center, across the street from the plaza that houses Homegoods and Michael's. It's typical Texan decor, with country music blaring over the speakers and peanut shells all over the floor. There seemed to be a small wait time for some larger parties who were hovering outside of the doors, but with just the 2 of us, we were seated pretty much immediately. Our waitress was a young, perky girl who welcomed us with a smile. We ordered two waters with lemon, requested no complimentary rolls (although they are heavenly, we're trying to cut back) and told her we were going to split the NY strip, add the sauteed mushrooms and onions and for our sides we chose a mushroom skewer and a veggie skewer; also add one side salad with honey mustard, that we were also splitting. She brought out our waters immediately and remembered not to bring us the rolls, which we would have surely had trouble avoiding if they were in front of us. Soon after came our salad. We had a couple of appetizer plates, so I moved some salad onto mine and my husband ate the rest. The entree came out in a reasonable amount of time and everything was made to order as requested, with the exception of the steak being overly cooked. It also had a lot more fat on it than most NY strips do. I know they rave about having some good cuts, but we have found all too often that a lot of their cuts are pretty fatty. Either way, I still enjoyed dinner and we will continue to frequent this location. Service was really good and I always enjoy the atmosphere. We used a 20% coupon we found online and left our waitress a nice size tip. read more

I'm very surprised that the majority of reviews are not four-star or better. Every time I visit this restaurant I always get the best customer service and the best food. Even the manager came by a couple of times to find out how our food was and the overall experience. I have nothing but excellent things to say about this restaurant. I went to this restaurant tonight to eat with my daughter I spent slightly over $43 for a meal that could not be eaten and then had to go to mission barbecue to get something that I could eat these steaks were undercooked the French onion soup was not made properly the chips for the spinach and artichoke dip tasted nasty. First and foremost, the rolls were solid and my margarita was good, so that's the reason for a 2 star rating. It took a lot longer to get food than it normally would at any other steakhouse. There were maybe 4-5 other tables when we were sat, so being busy wasn't a liable reason for the wait. When the food did come, everything tasted like it was sitting in a window for 20 minutes. My shrimp was mainly good, some were a little dry. I wish it came with a seafood sauce to help with the dryness. Our waiter took a while to bring refills and our food but did come back eventually. I carelessly rolled it in some paper towel and left it on the table until I finally realized after we drove off.
