Hadn't been in the Logans in a while as there's only one in the area so we made the trek to the west side of Evansville to have lunch at Logan's. While the food looked good, it tasted awful. The chicken was overcooked and tough to bite into. It was also very bland. The cinnamon apples were the worst we have ever tasted. The Cole slaw is made with tartar sauce which makes for a nasty combo in our opinion. The service was dismal. We sat in the bar on a Sunday during lunch. We felt rushed to order and rushed to leave. There are so many other options and this will most likely be our last visit ever. read more

We went to Logan's tonight, we ordered our food to eat there, but we both had had a long day and decided to get it go. When we first arrived, we stood there for over 10 minutes before some came to wait on us, now mind you there was other staff and they looked at us but walked away. When the host finally showed up to seat us, he acted like we were a bother, snd that he really did not want to be there, and really did not care how well he did his job, no smile, no greeting, nothing.That should have been a red flag, but we ignored it. I ordered the loaded potato skins and added BBQ brisket, my boyfriend ordered the All American Cheeseburger no onions. Well when we got home my potato skins were burnt, there was maybe one or 2 pieces of brisket(which cost $2.99 extra), and they had forgotten my ranch dressing. My boyfriends cheeseburger had onions, was burnt to the point it looked like a charcoal brick. Nothing had any flavor, it was bad enough I would not even feed it to my dog. We ended up throwing our food away. Was given a menu and "allowed" to sit in the bar area. There were many empty tables in the place, I didn't want to sit by the door. I put my menu down at a table, which needed cleaned and went to the restroom. I was told this was acceptable. It was going to be a lunch to treat our adult daughter. Instead, it turned into a disaster. Understand that we had looked forward to Logans opening a Westside restaurant for years, and we had enjoyed the Eastside Burkhardt location with envy. When they finally opened a westside location, we went there regularly for years. Lately, things seem to be going downhill fast. The first symptom was as simple as a baked potato. If you can't deliver a baked potato hot, there's a problem. They were always cold and they regularly had to bring another, nuked (which is not the same as a hot baked potato). Food preparation seemed to become more and more indifferent. I always thought a French Dip was supposed to be served on a baguette, not a glorified hot dog bun. Today, we noticed that our server took our drink order and someone else delivered the drinks. The server took our food order. After waiting a disproportionate amount of time for the volume in the restaurant, we heard the cook calling for a pickup. It was our order. 10 minutes later, the cook calls again. 5 minutes after that, the cook appears in front of the food window and looks for a runner to deliver the food. When the food arrives, delivered by someone other than our server, it is all stone cold. My french dip was drenched soggy with au jus and cold to boot. The fries were stone cold. So after complaining to our server, the manager discounted the meal heavily. Our daughter was so upset that she refused her cold entree and a replacement. So my french dip is replaced but the fries are recycled back onto another plate, still stone cold. There is no continuity of service. Our server was not aware of a problem until I hunted her down. The manager, while discounting the meal, didn't even bother to show up. There are so many mistakes in restaurant management here that I will not be taking up room to describe them all. The bad: if my steak were ever truly 12 oz., it must have been before they cut it in half horizontally and flash grilled it. We have been to this location numerous times and are always disappointed, we went today at lunch and were seated immediately. I ordered a sweet tea that must have just been brewed and the ice was melting and was diluted from the sweetness. I ordered a 6 oz sirloin WELL done and it came out medium rare which i sent back. By the time it came back to our table my wife had already finished her meal. I told the manager i was not interested in finishing my steak since she was ready to leave. This was a solid ok experiance. Went here for lunch with a co-worker when we were in town for business. It very much felt like we were the only non-regulars in the bar area (keep in mind it was 1pm on a Thursday). I got the steak-salad and it was exactly as advertised...steak and salad...I'm not sure really what else I would have expected but I think some sort of specialty dressing would have gone a very very long way. I appriciate the idea of picking my own dressing but to be honest normally I feel like the kitchen staff knows better than I do! The beer was cold and tall and great. And the service was good. My husband, grandson and I went to the Evansville east side location on a Thursday evening. What a disappointing disaster! The food and service were horrible.
