Went there for dinner dinner after traveling for 12 hours. My wife and I were seated right away (there were probably 8 seated tables) and given menus. During a 20+ minute wait, two more tables were seated, their orders taken, drinks served and we still had not had our order's taken. My wife called to a waitress and she was completely ignored. This place was next door to my hotel and I didn't feel like going anywhere. It's a major steak chain, how bad can it really be? I was seated right away and even offered my choice of booths. It was about 10 minutes after that when the server showed up. She took my drink order and was very pleasant. Her name was Kiyah and was the best part of the experience. Rolls were hard and not hot. The butter did not melt at all. I ordered the Logan medium rare. This is their signature sirloin so it should be ok. The first one came out well done. It had the right tag so the server put it in right, it just wasn't cooked right. I sent it back and they cooked another. This one was medium well. The manager came and asked if I wanted to order something else. At this point I was not willing to try again. I'm surprised I overlooked remarking about this Logan's! My husband and I have eaten here at least a dozen times! We've been here as a couple, with other couples, and with my stepchildren, over the years. I'm sure I have dined solo here, also. I typically get the mesquite-grilled salmon 86 the rice and double the steamed broccoli. I've enjoyed the mesquite-grilled chicken and the pork chops, too! The service has always been attentive and friendly, and the staff have consistently fixed any issues that arose to our satisfaction. The bar is a good-sized bar and is where we always sit when eating here solo, or with the hubs. They do have a full bar and I've enjoyed their pinot grigio which is a good standard bar favorite, Ecco Domini. There's at least 1 TV in the bar. I'm happy Logan's is in this location, since it offers a consistent fast-casual dining experience, especially now that Ruby Tuesday's across the street shuttered several years ago. read more

My wife and I went to Logan's Roadhouse for supper. I ordered the 12oz ribeye steak medium rare with a sweet potato and house salad. My wife ordered the 6oz top sirloin cooked medium with rice and a house salad. My ribeye was over cooked between a medium and medium well. It didn't have any flavor to it. It actually tasted off but it was tender. When the server offers to bring a steak sauce for your steak you better second guess about the steak and the way it's cooked. My wife's top sirloin was over cooked also. It wasn't medium it was closer to a medium well. So, I don't recommend getting any kind of steak at Logan's Roadhouse in Athens, Alabama. read more

Food was decent, service was great. Would try again if same scenario. I decided to try Logan's because I was staying at a nearby hotel and didn't feel like driving anywhere so I walked the few hundred yards to grab dinner. It wasn't until I was at the restaurant and decided to check-in that I seen the two star rating. Apprehensive because of the negative service and food reviews I entered. I was promptly seated and greeted by Robert who came over within a minute of me being seated to grab my drink order and returned pretty quick with what I asked for. I had him give me a few minutes to make up my mind and finally decided on the Shrimp Stacked Salmon. A salmon patty with 5 shrimp on it and both on top of mash potatoes. I ordered broccoli and a garden salad with blue cheese for the sides. The salad was cold, fresh, and tasted pretty decent. The main "gripe" I have is the main entree took almost 15 minutes to come out after I had finished my salad. Robert continued to come to the table to apologize. When it arrived it was hot(ish). However, the shrimp seemed to have been cooked an while ago and the broccoli was old as well. The salmon was fine and the potatoes were good. Overall the place isn't too bad and is hit or miss I guess. When I am back in the area and staying in the same hotel I'd probably come back over and try it again. I was going to give it three stars as it was a pretty average experience but Robert gave it the fourth star. His attentiveness and level of service were very good. read more

Logan's is always a good road-trip stop offering affordable prices and delicious food. You get a lot of bang for your buck. It's too bad so many Logan's have closed across America during these challenging times. But hopefully this faithful location in Athens will stick around for the long haul. We always stop on trips between Nashville and Auburn over the past 14 years. You're not going here for a gourmet meal, but you'll always get a consistently good lunch or dinner much better than most comparably priced restaurants. I don't know what happened but tonight was horrible!!! The restaurant closed at 11pm. We got there around 9:30. Not a lot of people inside so my wife and I figured it'll be a good time to eat. We were absolutely WRONG!!! Seems like everyone was focused on closing for the night. The sweet tea was not sweet, the regular Coke tasted like Diet Coke. The rolls, steak queso and the potato skins were ok. As for the main means was horrible!!! Wife ordered the burger with waffle fries and I ordered the steak sandwich with waffle fries. The fries were cold on both meals, the burger was lukewarm, the meat steak sandwich was also lukewarm and the bun was not toasted and cool to the touch. Very disappointed especially since we'll visit here a couple of times a month. Another thing that bothered me was the fact that there was a kid behind the bar talking to the bartender. I even brought it up to the manager but she seemed unfazed by it. After talking to the manager I just paid for the drinks and appetizers but I felt that was still too much. The overall atmosphere was bad tonight and really disappointed at what happened. Ended up going to Wendy's for a burger. Edit: I received a message from Raymond H Business Manager of @Logans. Told me to email him about my experience which I did. As of this writing no response. I'll wait to see what happens next. Here's another update. It's been about 13 days since the business manager. I emailed him a couple of days after hearing from him. He's yet to reach out to me about my experience. This is what I mean. I work extremely hard for my money and to receive poor quality food and service is just ridiculous. And to not even receive a response AFTER you message me is unacceptable. Final edit: spoke with someone last week. Asked if my wife and I could come back to make up for their mistake and we did a couple of days ago. This time it was a whole lot better. The server was really nice and kept checking on us.
