Went for pizza. Sat in the back room with large screen TV. Watched the UW volleyball game against Nebraska. Ordered the Susie's Supreme pizza on their famous thin crust. Toppings were plentiful and crust was fantastic. Definitely one of the better pizza joints in the region. Service was attentive and food came to the table with little delay. This place is a neat little pizza restaurant on the north end of Lodi that kicks out solid, traditional Wisconsin-style pizza. It's clearly popular. I went on Friday night, got there at 5:00 pm on the nose, and it was already crowded. They had a wedding rehearsal dinner going, so that was half the place full, but every table was taken so my wife and I had to sit at the bar. We got one of their HUGE garlic pretzels as an appetizer. It came out hot and fresh, and it was one of the better pretzels I've ever had. It was bready and fulfilling. On the menu it says it feeds 1-3 people, but I'd lean more toward the three than the one. It was massive. The kitchen was deep in the weeds when we ordered (probably thanks to the large party that was there for the wedding rehearsal), so it took over an hour and ten minutes for us to finally get our pizza. Normally, this would be a big knock against them in the rating department, but I feel like this wasn't a standard Friday night for them. To be fair, the place never emptied the entire time we were there. The second someone left, there was another party ready to take their table, so the locals clearly knew what's up. The pizza we got had a cracker-thin crust, and the toppings and cheese crowded all the way to the edge. It was tasty and worth going back for more. It was the type of bar pizza you crave as a good Wisconsinite. All in all, other than the prolonged wait for the pizza, this was a solid outing. I hope they have a lot of success because this place is on the verge of being a destination spot for a good Wisco-style pizza. read more

The best Chicago tavern style pizza around. We come here from Baraboo, as there is no good pizza there or the Dells. Pepperoni with extra cheese, well done. Perfection. Thin, cracker style crust just like in Chicago (Barnabys). Sometimes long wait-times, but definitely worth it. Highly recommend! read more

Ordered the new Garlic Shrimp Pizza. Guessing they use the tiny canned shrimp. Tasted horrible so good thing they hardly put any of them on. Highly suggest you upgrade the shrimp amount and quality and charge more for it. Or just discontinue the menu item. Very disappointed! read more

Holy absolute crap. A place like this in a little town like it's in is ridiculous. Great little place, nice bar nice inside area. The supreme pizza I got was among the best I've had. Excellent sauce, nice and thin crispy crust without a burn a lot of places put out. Honesty at the get go. They tell you of the wait, which is great to me. Fantastic service, fast and very friendly. My friends all wanted to go here and luckily they offered gluten-free crust and it has been one of the 2 best gf crusts I've had so far. After a day of youth basketball in Lodi, our group of 9 made our way to the Log Tavern for pizza. The parking lot was full but we were able to be seated immediately. Our waitress was quick to come and take our drink orders followed by our dinner order. She also was right there for drink refills and to take away empties. We started with orders of the warm spinach and artichoke dip that came warm with corn chips. Also, jalapeno poppers that were fresh, not breaded and deep fried. The poppers were filled with cream cheese, topped with crumbled bacon and baked. Very good! With two in our group that need to avoid gluten, it was wonderful to see a gluten free pizza crust. Both gave the crust a thumbs up. The traditional pizzas were a great thin crust that came with nicely browned cheese layer on top. We tried the BBQ chicken with roasted red peppers. Delicious and it makes me want to go back to try the others. Well done, Log Tavern. I'll be back. Update:. Went back again and had great service and amazing pizza. read more

We just moved to the area and ordered from here for the first time. The first time we chose delivery and despite living 10 mins away it took two hours to receive our order. It wasn't a good sign but when we received our pizza it was DELICIOUS!!! So good that we've ordered it (take-out) many times since. It's definitely the best pizza in the area. This place has really good pizza. But I was in there last night and did not see any staff wearing masks. I think that during this time, when grocery stores, hardware stores, shoe stores, etc are being cautious and wearing masks that a restaurant should certainly do so. Very good pizza. The toppings are generous, but the service is slow. I had a nice attentive waitress, but it took about 30 minutes from ordering, to the pizza being ready. The quality of the pizza justifies the wait time. Will stop here again the next time I travel through the area. I almost forgot to mention that I had the side salad too, and it was delicious. We've probably eaten here 8 to 10 times this past summer. And I would rank it as one of the best pizzas I've ever had, hence eating here so often. They just opened this past spring, and I'm sure they're still working out a few items. I know people have different tastes in pizza, and thank goodness, they nailed mine! Thin crust, crispy, toppings all the way out to the edge of the pizza, great balance of ingredients. And a nice selection of craft beers. We spend our summers in the Lake Wisconsin area, and we are looking forward to enjoying their fine pizza next summer. And try their Tall Grass Buffalo Sweat beer! I have tried Log Tavern three times for both dine in and carryout. Besides thin crust pizza the menu is very limited. This is not necessarily bad but you should know this before you take any picky eaters. For a small place with a simple menu they seem disorganized. They screwed up my order both times that I ordered for carryout. This includes one time that I arrived 30 minutes after ordering and they had failed to start my food despite there being no customers in the restaurant. When I dined in it was painfully obvious that they have the capacity to make about one order at a time. It was also painfully obvious that they did nothing to absorb sound in the dining room. It is LOUD even when half empty. We had to yell across our table to hear each other. The service has been mixed. We recently had a very nice young waitress but we have also dealt with some extremely unfriendly people at the counter. There are two options for pizza in Lodi if you don't count gas stations. This is the more expensive option. The quality is marginally better than the other place but don't get your hopes up too high. read more

We have visited Log Tavern two times and both times have had marginal service. Last night we waited for over an hour for our pizza even though when we arrived we were only the 3rd table to be filled. After 40 minutes, our server told us it would just a few more minutes and we waited another 20-25 minutes. Our server seemed to avoid our table until we finally flagged him down and said that perhaps we should cancel the order. Surprisingly, the pizza arrived within a couple minutes after that. When the check came, there was not even an apology for the lengthy wait. The person at the counter was not apologetic either. When she asked if all was ok, we voiced our concern about the long wait, and she simply said that they had a lot of call in orders and unfortunately they had to prioritize those over in-house orders. She said that they were running at a 50 minute wait for pizza at that point, and I told her ours was over a hour wait and no one had set expectations of the lengthy backlog. The pizza was ok - very skimpy on toppings but sauce and crust ok. Unfortunately, we will probably not be back - there are several other local options available so we will save the drive the next time. read more
