GREAT meal today Brisket, kids salad, sliders and kids pizza Brisket was cooked perfectly. Heard someone say it was fatty, but they obviously have never had bbq before. If you like salt this is your place. I ordered salmon. For $22 you get blackened salmon in mushroom sauce and 2 rolls. I would have traded 1 roll for a couple of sprigs of broccoli or something...but that's the meal. The other dishes delivered to our table looked very good. No complaints there. The salmon and rolls would have been very good had it not been salted to the max. The rolls were even heavily salted. I had to scrape the thick crust of blacken seasoning off of the salmon to even make it tolerable to eat and I had to wipe my rolls with a napkin. I even like salt pretty well but wow! Our server was Jailen, She was very nice. Took our order and got our drinks quickly. After our food was delivered she was slow to return. So slow another table kept flagging her down and one person in my party had to physically get up from the table to tell her we needed her. I don't think I come here again. read more

Went to Log Cabin on fish fry Friday and the food was really good! Of course I had the fish, and just off the bat it's a great deal! For 3 pieces of fish, all about 6 to 8 inches long along with a side of fries and coleslaw, it was only $15!! All of the fish was breaded there and tasted great! Terrible! The "special" chicken & biscuits pot pie was a mass of congealed fat sitting on two hard biscuits sprinkled with unmelted cheese. We had to send that back. The "special " French Dip was delivered without the Au Jus and the pulled pork sandwich was delivered without the Mac & Cheese we ordered. The server said she would go get both. Next thing we see is her delivering food to other tables. After five minutes our waitress comes by our table and we sent back the chicken pot pie and I asked her for the Au Jus. Five minutes later the server finally delivered the Mac & Cheese. The burger and fries we ordered was ok. The beer selection is very limited. read more

Love this place! Mike, the General Manager, is wonderful. He spent many years at Oak Pointe Country Club before shifting to the re-launch of Log Cabin. There is frequently live music and starting at earlier hours, which is nice for those of us with little ones. The breadsticks are tasty. Onion jam and Swiss burger...yum! We tried this restaurant when it first opened and didn't like it. Gave it another shot and we were extremely disappointed. Food took 50 mins and we only order pizza for the 2 of us. Pizza was brought in the to-go box and we were not given plates. We ordered pineapple on the pizza for $1.00 extra and there was literally one half of a piece of pineapple from a can on each piece. Not worth $1.00. Last trip there. read more

The waiter was very attentive. The brisket didn't taste smoked. It must've been me with an electric smoker and had no flavor. I wouldn't order it again. The coleslaw was mostly cabbage, and tasted like vinegar and I couldn't even eat it. The hamburger and fries was good! So was the tater tots. We went here on Friday night and the place was packed! I had a salad and hubby had the sliders. the salad was good and very filling, and the sliders were juicy with the various BBQ sauce offered on the tables. Our server Amanda was AMAZING! She greeted us immediately and was friendly, attention and knowledgeable. We saw her take care of several other larger parties with ease. I hope we get her at our next visit! read more

We checked out the Log Cabin on Grand River. Delicious food! We started with Garlic Bread Stix which was huge. Hubby got the pulled pork, cole slaw, and baked beans. I got the Grilled Chicken Club sandwich with their homemade Tots. Everything was great but I would order my sandwich without the bun...so much goodness with the grilled chicken and housemade bacon that it fell apart. Service was nice...definitely could tell they're getting used to things. We will be back. read more

Sent back my brisket twice . Big chunks hard to chew. Not my favorite restaurant anyway. My opinion change the entire menu. Same owners as 2 fogs which has great ambience yucky menu. That menu needs to be revamped also . Train your servers well because our server was nice enough but clueless. read more

Took a friend for a birthday lunch for our first visit to Log Cabin. We sat at the bar and ordered the fried cheese curd appetizer, which was excellent. I had a pulled pork sandwich and found the meat bland and the bun a bit stale. It wasn't until after the meal that I saw caddies of BBQ sauces on nearby tables. The sauces weren't on the bar and no one mentioned/provided them. It would have made a big difference. My buddy ordered a whiskey on the rocks (hey, we're retired). The drink was a good pour but here's a pro tip. If you want a straight drink at Log Cabin order it neat and get a glass of ice water. They actually charged me $2 on the bill that said "rocks" in addition to the liquor cost. Ridiculous. I want to like this place but they have some polishing up to do. read more

An excellent venue if you like standing around watching group after group being seated ahead of you. The food is reportedly excellent, although I could not attest to that. However, it smelled good from the cramped waiting area that was essentially the 2x2 space in between the front door and hostess stand. The waitress stink eye as she had to maneuver past us was an extra bonus. They don't take reservations, although apparently if you call ahead that helps you get a table faster....which is a reservation, right? But no reservations. We went on a Saturday after getting off work . I myself and the person I was with work as waitresses so we know good service . Took the person about 10 minutes to greet us and get our drinks . It was not very busy as it was around 230 in the afternoon . Food was not up to par and I didn't even get the chance to complain as our waitress never asked us how the food was or if we needed anything else . Tim is the best Bartender in the area. The food was pretty good but when you get such great service it makes the whole experience better.

Two out of four of us had the brisket. It was the worst I've ever had. It was 75% chewy fat, no smoke flavor, small portions, and overpriced. The pizza was okay. Beer selection was good. Service was good considering they were packed. I won't be back. Save your $$ and go elsewhere. read more

My husband and I got to experience The Log Cabin on friends and family night before their grand opening. Delicious! We were greeted immediately and got sat. We ordered the chicken wing appetizer and they were perfectly smoked. We then enjoyed a margarita pizza and their sliders with fries. Everything was perfectly cooked and the staff was very friendly. First time. Pulled pork was very good. Could have been hotter. Plate which was a metal tray that spins on the table was large enough. It had paper in the bottom (take off on paper in Texas) but it got soggy and I may have eaten a piece. No napkins for pulled pork - hmm. Fries were good.
