Located just across the street from LaBelle City Hall, Log Cabin BBQ is unique in its own way. First the building is constructed of logs and painted red. The full name is Honest John Log Cabin BBQ. As soon you walk in, you notice the American Flag and the Pledge of Allegiance. The décor is definitely comfort, homely and family oriented. The BBQ is really excellent! Had the baby back ribs, fried shrimp, smoked beef and pulled pork with beans, coleslaw and baked sweet potato. The ribs are smoked and meats are falling off the bones, the fried shrimp with its tasty batter tasted like the shrimp from Key West. It is crunchy! The smoked beef and pulled pork are delicious. The baked beans are on point. The coleslaw is on the sweet style and delectable. On top of this, we got complimentary half cup of free cream of broccoli soup and scoop of cookie ice cream and orange sherbet. The staff is wonderful. The sweetest server possible. We love her! This is definitely a 5 Stars! You must try Log Cabin if you are in LaBelle! We drove for 50 minutes from Fort Myers to LaBelle and will return soon! read more

Travel stop for dinner and wow, was it good!! Leaving Everglades National Park and trying to make it to the Orlando area, we needed a meal. This place served its purpose. Not sure I will ever be near again, but highly recommend. I actually would love to be able to try it again. There were a few hiccups, like how they used a primely located booth in their front dining room for a place to drop their crap (menues, silverware, etc.). That was a bummer, so we wound up in the back room, which was a little less cozy and rather dimly lit. Service was a tad bit slow and apps were missing sauces, plus my dinner was missing a whole part of the entree. When these things were pointed out, they were quickly rectified and with sincere care either brought out on the spot or removed from the check. Friendly staff and delicious food! I enjoyed the sweet tea and their delicious sides above everything! Pulled pork and ribs were very tasty. The rest of my family also enjoyed their meals. There was complimentary soup and ice cream, too. The soup was simply scrumptious and satisfying. I had no room for dessert, but my daughter enjoyed her ice cream. We took a long drive recently and planned to make a stop in LaBelle. This would be the first time passing through this way, so I checked for Yelp reviews. I noticed Log Cabin BBQ and Seafood had some recommendations from trusted Yelpers, so I knew it would be a good choice. It was easy to find this iconic red log cabin when we arrived in LaBelle. Truly, you can't miss it. The parking lot was very full but we were able to find a table. The interior was rustic and down to earth. What you might expect in a log cabin with one notable exception - they have a large plastic shark's head mounted on one wall. From pictures I saw, it seems to have been a key marketing piece throughout the restaurant's history. Perhaps because they do serve seafood here, as well as BBQ. We were there for the BBQ though, so I can't tell you about that. Everyone settled on a version of their pulled pork. You can get it as a dinner with sides or as a sandwich with a side. It comes out tender and very tasty and you have the option to add BBQ sauce from two choices tableside. Our group was of a like mind and each of us added a bit of the sweet version. The baked beans were very good with an excellent full-bodied flavor profile and the fries were crisp. This visit would have been 4 Star fan worthy based on the pulled pork alone. My mom went so far as to say it was some of the very best pulled pork she's ever eaten. None-the-less, there were several points that added value to our experience. The top of that list was the genuine, friendly, professionals that work here. Everyone worked toward making every single guest feel welcome and ensure they had the best experience possible. Along with that, they went the extra mile by offering complimentary soup before your order arrived and complimentary sherbet or ice cream at the conclusion of your meal. This is a great BBQ place. We ride motorcycles to LaBelle just to eat here. The owner is hands on and a great guy. There is complimentary soup before your meal and complimentary ice cream after. I have trialed a lot on the menu and have loved everything. When they have the prime rib sandwich, you should try it. Love this place and will be back again amd again. read more

Cutting across the state West to East we found this gem right on SR 80! As we pulled into the parking lot that was full at 11:20 am we figured this place must be good. We found a comfortable table near the Specials Board and our server delivered our menus and took our beverage order. Lots of traditional BBQ offerings and some good ol' s other dishes along with fish dinners and sandwiches. The Top listed Special was Beef Tips over rice with a slice of garlic toast and one side. I ordered the Beef tips with green beans as my side. We were offered complimentary soups, fish chowder or Turkey Vegetable. I chose the Turkey vegetable which was delicious! After finishing our soups our lunch dishes were delivered. My Beef Tips were fork tender. The rich brown gravy with the tips over the soft white rice was hearty and full of flavor. My side of green beans were just like my Mom use to make. The proprietor saw that I had finished my dish and offered it away. I told him I would keep it just in case my wife offered some of her BBQ CHICKEN. A minute later he came back with a huge meaty rib and said, just in case she doesn't share, you can nibble on this. After we had both finished our meals we were offered our choice of complimentary ice cream or orange sherbert. I chose the orange sherbet and my wife passed on her dessert. As we paid and were asking for a plastic bag for our left over chicken and the remainder of my huge rib, my wife mentioned to the owner that I was happy with my sherbert but usually asked for Banana Pudding at home style restaurants. He said, we have a whole pan of Banana Pudding , wait a moment. He returned with a cup full and offered it to us. My wife made him charge us ($2..00). Used to be so good. We would drive from Fort Myers for Log Cabin and the BBQ is still good, but the sides were inedible. The Mac n cheese was worse than frozen and "mashed" potatoes with gravy were like cement. This was our go to, but after today, I have to rethink ever going back to Log Cabin. read more

I am not a big fan of barbecue, but my friends and I were having lunch together after leaving the Riverside Camp and Retreat Center nearby, and they picked the restaurant. I skipped the standard barbecue fare and went for the pan-seared shrimp with cheddar cheese grits and black-eyed peas. First, we all got a free sample-size cup of the fish chowder, which was delicious! The black-eyed peas were the best I ever had in my life. I mixed my shrimp and grits together and OMG . . . I ate every last bite! Allison was our server, and she did a great job and took good care of our party of nine. I attend this retreat every year, and I will certainly make it a point to lunch at Log Cabin Bar-B-Q! read more

I visited Log Cabin for lunch a few days ago and tried the St. Louis Style Ribs, Pulled Pork, Cole Slaw, and Mac & Cheese. The ribs were my favorite part of the meal: delicious, tender and meaty! The pulled pork was pretty good but a little on the dry side. The flavorful BBQ sauces complimented the meats nicely. The coleslaw was creamy and crisp but the Mac & Cheese was disappointing and tasted like it came from a box. With the meal I also received complimentary and delicious Fish Chowder and Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. The service was very polite and attentive. I never had to ask for a refill of sweet tea or water. I definitely will stop by Log Cabin next time I'm in LaBelle to get more of the delicious ribs. read more

I stopped in for brunch. With a fellow Yelper Paul H. He suggested going North two counties about 1.25 hours to try new locations. I got a single pancake it was unique I also liked the biscuits much more than the sausage gravy. Not complaining. Just observing the gravy was very different compared to what I called southern style. Not too thin or not to thick. Just different in a good way both consistency and flavor. I was trying to figure if cheese was added for this unique flavor. The nice girls later suggested that bad things may happen if their secret got out. So I quietly left. Food: 4 Ambiance: 5 spacious log cabin style. Service: 5 quick friendly. We must give a special thanks to "Mariah" at the county clerks office for recommending this awesome hometown feel restaurant. As we walked in, we knew this was the place to stay. The pulled pork was moist & delicious. The bread was perfect & tasted like it was drowned in butter before it was thrown on the flat top. My favorite was the coleslaw. The beans were good, but very sugary. The black eye peas were delicious. The brisket was shredded more than sliced, but had a nice flavor. The worst part about the experience was the service. I did not detract on the rating for the slow service. We were also offered dessert but never told the ice cream/sherbet were complimentary, but I've seen that in other comments. This cabin has it going on. Right on! I must have passed it dozens of times, but this time it was dinnertime, and stopped. Excellent BBQ, don't pass this one by. I tried the Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Brisket. (I won't have to eat now for a couple of days? LOL) For Florida BBQ, these folks know what they are doing, and wrap it all in a cute little, real log cabin. The server is really tuned into what she does, which really completes the experience. This is my new favorite BBQ place. We were crossing the state and stopped in for lunch. I don't think I have ever felt more welcomed and informed by a waitress as I was by Shelby. She is terrific. We ordered the corn nuggets. They were hot, fresh and awesome. We got complementary soups, both delicious. We both got pulled pork that was unreal and had no fat in it. All three bbq sauces were great. It was topped off with complementary ice cream. Shelby sent us off with a cold drink to go. I look forward to my next trip across the state. This is a one and done. walking in no social distancing and space is small. Next we a party of three sat in the adjacent room, it was filled with smoke, poor ventilation, the couple across from us put left as well due to I believe the smoke as the man kept putting his shirt over his nose. Next sat there 15 minutes , no waiter, no menu's. I had to get up and go to the counter and request menu's. Next I ordered a SWEET teat, non sweet tea came, so I once again had to go to the counter and request a soda instead due to no waiter. The final straw was after 45 minutes later and no food, the owner or a man in a white top came to our table and informed our ticket was lost. The waiter who took our order put in his eye pad so how did it get lost? When the waiter did finally take our order he informed us that the smaller tables received there food first. I was confused, I thought it went by who's orders came up in order. You'd think a larger top table would get there food faster since tips are larger in most cases. The owner only offered up a bowl of soup which we declined, next he offered up an appetizer. He then informed me I'd have to wait an additional 20 more minutes for my 1/2 rack of baby backs and walked away. We were all starved and with all that happened prior we decided to just leave. As we exited the establishment I saw our waiter out side at a bench, he asked where we were going. I replied were leaving he said why. I said because when I have to go get our own menus we were all done. I can't judge the food because we never got that far but as for service two thumbs down. As for the owner or the man in white that appeared to be the owner offering a mere appetizer just didn't cut it. We went to Beef O Brady's and were served immediately. After 15 minutes we were eating. Social distancing was a priority and the waitress was wiping down each menu which I was glad to see. read more

This review is a minus five!! We received no service at all in the 25 minutes we were there. There were two of us and seated ourselves. After waiting about 10 minutes another couple sat directly behind us. The waitress came to their table and took their drink order. She brought their drinks and took their order. This family restaurant combines excellent BBQ food and fair prices with a friendly atmosphere to offer a unique value. A great place for bikers to stop and fuel up near LaBelle near HWY 80, I wasn't surprised to find this place packed with locals and visitors alike. I found Log Cabin while riding through central Florida on a long motorcycle touring ride. We had to search for this place a little because our navigation system couldn't find it, but it was very worth finding. A kitschy Log Cabin exterior was matched with a similar, rustic interior giving the place a homey, fun atmosphere. The first thing you learn about the Log Cabin menu is everything comes with free soup and free ice cream. Cool!! Ordering up some ribs and pulled pork we knew we be looking for places to pack leftovers as soon as they brought over the huge portions of baby back ribs and slow cooked pulled pork. Man, this food was excellent and really hit the spot. I'd highly recommend Log Cabin for families and travelers looking for excellent BBQ food in a friendly atmosphere at fair prices. 4/10/2021, dining room was open 1) Biker friendly 2) Owner was walking the dining room making sure we were all happy 3) our server (sorry didn't get her name) was FANTASTIC the whole staff seemed to be on the ball... she got a 75% tip from me.... 4) 11 people in our party, nobody had a bad meal.... we had something from all sections of the menu fish, beef, pork, chicken... it was all GREAT.
