Whole Foods, Sprouts, Bravo Supermarkets, The Fresh Market, Lucky's Market, Trader Joe's and Aldi have grown their footprint and expansion here in recent years. Walmart and Publix had battled against Sweetbay, Food Lion, Bruno's and Albertsons. There were several Bravo Supermarkets opened here in the last few years. How they fit in the grocer battle in Southwest Florida? I was in the Lehigh Acres in late Sunday afternoon. My curiosity made me swing by a Bravo Supermarket in Lee Blvd. First, most Bravo Supermarkets are franchised and locally owned. Bravo grow into Florida from New York. It catered to Latin Clients with fresh produce, dairy, meats, seafoods, snacks, drinks and prepared foods. There were two food trucks at the end of parking offer Jamaican and Latin food. The produce area is adequate but not that big. Pickup parsley, one eggplant and two bitter melons. I was looking for tropical fruits but the Papaya was huge and the size is not suitable for our need. Only three Mamay Sapote were available but there were good selections of Malanga and yuca. The green guavas were very fresh and looks amazing. Will check out the seafood and the meat department on the next visit. From the frozen section, I got 4 Mango Ice Cream bars and a Argentinean Beef empanada. From the small bakery section, I got two Pan Mexicano and croissants. I was at the store around 4 PM and did not explore the prepared food or deli section! This is a good side store and not huge. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. A good Latin Supermarket! Now, I know how Bravo and others can compete with Walmart and Publix. Just differentiate yourself from Publix and concentrate on your own niche.

Although it is…read moretempting to grab an inexpensive bite to eat at Costco (hot dog, pizza, salad and/or ice cream) while you wait, we walked to a nearby restaurant. We walked back, did some shopping and picked up our car keys on the way out. Vitamin supplements, water, wine and a battery charger were our main focus today (you can't get a battery charger and your tires rotated at Publix haha). We looked at meat, but just didn't find anything today. We went to the self checkout and were assisted by a very friendly young man who offered to help us. Sure! He scanned everything and all we had to do was pay. Easy peasy.

From the moment we walked in, they made us feel welcome and at ease, which made all the difference given how nerve-wracking these kinds of appointments can sometimes feel. Both Kira and Sara were incredibly thorough and detailed throughout the entire testing process. They took the time to walk us through each step, patiently answering our questions and making sure we fully understood our results before moving forward. Nothing felt rushed -- it was clear they genuinely cared about getting an accurate picture of our hearing health rather than just checking a box. Their professionalism and expertise really stood out, but what impressed us most was how personable and warm they both were. It takes a special kind of skill to be both highly knowledgeable and easy to talk to, and Kira and Sara have that combination down perfectly. If you're in the Fort Myers area and need hearing testing or are considering hearing aids, we can't recommend Kira and Sara at the Costco Hearing Aid Center enough. They made the entire process smooth, informative, and stress-free from start to finish. Debbie Bowman & Kam Misleh

I understand this was unconventional, but they told us they were unable to make our subs until then. There were about 6 other employees standing around and no one in line, so we asked Linda if she'd be able to make it. They supposedly could not pull up the online order, so we had to repeat our order back, which ended taking almost until 10:45 to complete. I appreciate them stepping in to make the subs early, but the eye rolls and giggling from the staff was not as much appreciated.

Just trying to get groceries for the family required enduring miles and hours on the crazy, crowded roads. Finally got a chance to visit and can only feel sadness at all the wasted time and human energy. As for the store itself, the separate liquor store distinguishes this location from all the others. Currently most employees and customers were not masked. The Saturday express line had an insane customer with children and cart full of groceries. Congested and cramped parking lot is probably dangerous. Unattentive children and elderly are vulnerable. Hard to find your car when you are ready to leave, especially if you own a white SUV. I need a drink. Time to hit the liquor store.
