This is a one and done. walking in no social distancing and space is small. Next we a party of three sat in the adjacent room, it was filled with smoke, poor ventilation, the couple across from us put left as well due to I believe the smoke as the man kept putting his shirt over his nose. Next sat there 15 minutes , no waiter, no menu's. I had to get up and go to the counter and request menu's. Next I ordered a SWEET teat, non sweet tea came, so I once again had to go to the counter and request a soda instead due to no waiter. The final straw was after 45 minutes later and no food, the owner or a man in a white top came to our table and informed our ticket was lost. The waiter who took our order put in his eye pad so how did it get lost? When the waiter did finally take our order he informed us that the smaller tables received there food first. I was confused, I thought it went by who's orders came up in order. You'd think a larger top table would get there food faster since tips are larger in most cases. The owner only offered up a bowl of soup which we declined, next he offered up an appetizer. He then informed me I'd have to wait an additional 20 more minutes for my 1/2 rack of baby backs and walked away. We were all starved and with all that happened prior we decided to just leave. As we exited the establishment I saw our waiter out side at a bench, he asked where we were going. I replied were leaving he said why. I said because when I have to go get our own menus we were all done. I can't judge the food because we never got that far but as for service two thumbs down. As for the owner or the man in white that appeared to be the owner offering a mere appetizer just didn't cut it. We went to Beef O Brady's and were served immediately. This review is a minus five!! We received no service at all in the 25 minutes we were there. There were two of us and seated ourselves. After waiting about 10 minutes another couple sat directly behind us. The waitress came to their table and took their drink order. She brought their drinks and took their order. This family restaurant combines excellent BBQ food and fair prices with a friendly atmosphere to offer a unique value. A great place for bikers to stop and fuel up near LaBelle near HWY 80, I wasn't surprised to find this place packed with locals and visitors alike. I found Log Cabin while riding through central Florida on a long motorcycle touring ride. We had to search for this place a little because our navigation system couldn't find it, but it was very worth finding. A kitschy Log Cabin exterior was matched with a similar, rustic interior giving the place a homey, fun atmosphere. The first thing you learn about the Log Cabin menu is everything comes with free soup and free ice cream. Cool!! Ordering up some ribs and pulled pork we knew we be looking for places to pack leftovers as soon as they brought over the huge portions of baby back ribs and slow cooked pulled pork. If you're not from the LaBelle area, this place may be off the beaten path. I can tell you that it's worth the drive on your quest for great barbecue. In Naples, I feel like the art of barbecue in a restaurant setting hasn't been the greatest of priorities; therefore, I recommend you take a trip across SR80 and meander into LaBelle. This place used to be called Log Cabin for years on in, and it shut down for a while. It now is under new and different management. We had a chance to talk to the owner and he definitely has his focus on customer service. There are two dining areas, and it would be nice to have a hosting/reception area instead of walking into someone's meal - but all in all, you experience the "log cabin" feel right from the getgo. They always have a free portion of their daily soup, which happened to be broccoli cheddar that day, and then there's always some free ice cream at the end of every meal. I have yet to veer off from their pulled pork, because it's consistently good....but I hear the ribs and fried chicken pretty amazing. We come for the corn nuggets and they automatically come with ranch dipping sauce. Their sweet tea comes in the most huge styrofoam cups and yes, you should judge your bbq restaurants on their sweet tea or if they even serve sweet tea. My boys and I are cynics, so when we come across people as genuinely kind and enthusiastic as the waitress we met at the Log Cabin Bar-B-Que, we look hard for the angle. Free soup? Fixing a crossed order by just giving us a couple of additional meals to go? Something didn't feel right. Our best guess was that if this was the start of an action / horror movie, the scene just after the free ice cream would have us waking up woozy somewhere in the Everglades with (option a) Samuel L. Came I on Veterans Day Monday based in yelp reviews during our southbound US27 drive home from Orlando. The place is an actual log cabin and it was harming. The service was down home, accommodating and pleasant - I ordered the pulled pork with Mac and cheese and cole slaw, the wife got the half rack of ribs with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes.. the pulled pork was lukewarm at best and the Mac and cheese was more than likely Kraft from a box. The ribs my wife had were good and the sauce was nice. Overall we left the place disappointed and chalked it up to another yelp over-reviewed place that didn't live up to expectations. No bbq sauce in the bag, the meat is COLD and has grease stuck to it. Garlic bread which you charged extra for not even in the second sandwich. The slaw oh the slaw, once amazing now just pathetic dry cabbage in a cup. The sauce if there was any you won't get. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat at the same time. This is a wonderful local favorite. Portions are enough to fill. Yet does not empty the wallet. The place serves all 3 eating time. They do a bbq and hometown food. I was not sure what I wanted. So I ask my server. Andre I believe was her name(excellent job). Anyway she mention the owners had been fishermen in the Keys. And that she thought the scallops were the best. So we went with that. Saute. They were cooked to perfection with the right amount of garlic wine sauce. Plus they were tender and melted in the mouth.I also had the baked beans. Tasty with onions and a hint of green peppers. The homemade cole slaw was a delight. If you are traveling through or live in the area you must stop here for the best southern Home cooking! The log cabin is very cozy and warm for a great atmosphere. BBQ can be hit or miss but this place has it perfected down to a science. SO GOOD. My bf got the 3 meat combo and he thought it was perfect. Everything was cooked perfectly. I got the chicken tenders. Very generous portions. Lastly what we thought was amazing was the fact that they give you a coup of sound AND ice cream with every meal. Nothing like southern hospitality. Well, this was my second time here, not sure if there will be a third visit. Service was a bit slow, in her defense, I think she wasn't a seasoned server. The food... Some of it was good, the black eyed peas and green beans were extremely salty, but the Mac and cheese had no flavor! The country fried chicken was very thin and tasted like the oil it was fried in. Chopsteak was good. The open-face pork should never be topped with white gravy. We asked is the ribs were spare ribs or St Louis style. Our server didn't know... They were the latter, and way over done. Our server really tried pushing the fish chowder on us, that was a red flag. What made me write this review was the way the manager approached the table next to us. He seemed very annoyed and acted as if he didn't already know what the problem was. My wife ordered the Scallops and she has this thing where if the scallops don't "snap" when she bites into them, they aren't cooked right. Well, guess what, they snapped! Happy wife, happy life. Syrup is Log Cabin(go figure!) Very typical southern breakfast fare. Hasbrowns are frozen cubed potatoes, no seasoning. Bacon is very thin. The restaurant was actually a real log cabin with different things hanging on the wall like a shark's head and an alligator head. The servers were so nice. It felt like a cafeteria at a summer camp but looks like all local people were patronizing the place because I overheard small talk. My husband and I ordered the same, chicken with mash potatoes. I have had BBQ all over the state and this place had the facade of a BBQ joint, but didn't deliver. Went with a friend of mine. I had the spareribs, grits and coleslaw. He had shredded beef, with Mac and cheese, and green beans. First, the portions are small to any place that serves BBQ. The meat had no smoke ring and a flat color to it. My ribs were a fight to pull off the bone. This is not BBQ, this is just cooking meat. They are rushing the process. The off color leads me to think they are pre-boiling their meat. The beans were dead in color and mushy. Looked like they came out of a can. The Mac and cheese was a very off-putting brownish-yellow. The grits are instant and the coleslaw was too bland for a sweet slaw, and dead in flavor to be a savory or vinegar-y slaw. The BBQ sauces were the best part of the meal and they were less than satisfactory. I feel bad for the people of Labelle. If this is what they consider good BBQ. They must not get out much. Any other BBQ place like Sonny's, Rib City, or Famous Daves would have far exceeded BBQ expectations. As far as how tough the ribs were. I am regretting not going to McD's and getting a McRib sandwich. Would get a 1-Star, but the waitresses were friendly and good customer interaction. So that recouped an extra star. read more

Stopped for the first time, was really craving some bbq and figured after all the stars I would give it a go. I was surly disappointed as well as the group I was with, Mac and cheese tasted like nothing but boiled plain noodles it's looked like a creamy cheese sauce all over but delivered no taste. Ribs were tuff and disappointing baby backs were better, baked potato tasted and looked like it was cooked way to long completely dark in color tasting slightly burnt, black eye peas were bland, pulled pork was the best peace of meat we got along with the mashed potatoes which seemed to be made with real potatoes with gravy.
