There was one lady that finally came to take my order. After that there was the bartender, who also happened to be our waitress as well. He found out that there were two other waitresses on the other side of the establishment that should have been working. But they weren't. They weren't helping us like they should have been. The food portions were very small and without seasoning. No one ever came to check on us during our dining experience until we had finished our meal. Our table never got cleared off until the end, because I am assuming that this waitress that did finally wait on us, who was also the bartender, was just too busy working at the bar to come back. After the place slowed down, she continued to ignore my wife and I, while seemingly going out of her way to ask people who were not sitting at the bar if they needed drinks--often talking right over the guests who were seated at the bar. I tried repeatedly to make eye contact. I asked to see the menu again since we were ready to order more food. She gave me the menu, but even though the bar was no longer crowded, I still couldn't get her attention for another 15 minutes. I placed the menu clearly in front of me to signal that I was ready, yet she continued serving people all around us. I then tried to break the ice by asking if the kitchen was still open. She replied, "Of course it's open," and walked away. I didn't want to call out "excuse me," because that felt rude. Five minutes later, I'd had enough. I asked for the check and calmly explained exactly what I'm explaining here. She began to apologize, but then a male bartender aggressively dropped the check in front of me, which felt like a clear message to leave.
