Icehouse Cheeseburger, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon and Guinness Gravy

Just returned for dinner a couple days ago and I got the Icehouse Cheeseburger ($16.99). There is a choice of cheese - I had cheddar. It comes with the usual lettuce, tomato and onion and I added I did top it with bacon(+$1.00). I saw that they have a homemade Guinness gravy, so why not try a little as a dip for the fries. A small side cup was provided (+$0.50). The burger is a full half pounder and cooked as ordered, medium rare. Tasty beef and all the toppings just made it even better. The Guinness gravy is the bomb. Such a unique departure from malt or ketchup. Not a strong beer flavor at all so everyone would enjoy. I had to try some tap beer. 1st -Sierra Nevada - Draught Style Pale Ale. ($8.50/20 oz.). Good flavor with just a little hops at the finish. I also had a Wrexham Brewery - Wrexham Lager (same price/size). A light golden lager, not at all bitter, with a nice aroma. Nice clean taste. 95 degrees outside and we had to sit outside - no low tables inside. C'mon Ice House - that's the only reason why I dropped you down from 5 to 4 stars

Feels Like An English Pub and Great Food Worthy of 5 stars, but with no low tables inside, I deduct 1 star. This place was an old ice house many years ago and has been transformed into a fun authentic English style pub. We found plenty of free parking in the area close to the pub. We entered a covered patio area with many low chairs and tables, several TV's and a bar. You pass through a sliding door into the main dining room and game area with more TV's. No shortage of sports video here. All of the inside seating is hi-top tables and chairs. If you're short and struggle to get into a hi-top, or dislike having your legs dangle, like my wife, you have to sit out on the patio. There are plenty of fans to move the air and on the evening we dined it was hot - 98 degrees, but the fans kept it bearable. This place is for beer lovers with 34 beers on tap, 150 more from 15+ countries in cans and bottles. I really enjoyed my Irish favorites: Guinness, Smithwick's and Harp on tap. Chelsea was our server and though she has tables inside and out, she never let us sit with empty glasses. She did a great job of explaining favorites and how to get the current beer list on my phone with the QR code scan. The menu had many things that we wanted to try, but we narrowed it down to two. My wife had the Cottage Pie ($14.99). Plenty of seasoned Angus beef, onions, carrots and peas simmered in a flavorful, hearty Guinness gravy, topped with mashed potatoes and cheese and baked to a golden brown. You can substitute chicken in Belgian gravy. My wife shared one forkful with me and it was excellent. I chose the Fish Sandwich with an 8 ounce portion of blackened redfish. It normally comes with a Belgian ale battered fried cod. You can also substitute in grilled redfish. I was pleasantly surprised when they delivered my sandwich. There was a very nice size seasoned fish filet sitting on a toasted roll with lettuce, onion, tomato and dill pickles. The aroma from the fish seasoning was outstanding. The sandwich comes with chips (like steak fries), coleslaw and a homemade tarter sauce. The coleslaw was just OK, nothing memorable. The chips were good when hot, not so good when they cooled off. I did like just a little of the tarter sauce with the fish. I really enjoyed this fish sandwich. After dining, there are free darts and pool tables inside. Darts and cue sticks are available to use at no cost. There is an entire wall of dart boards with chalk scoreboards next to them. What a fun place. So hey Ice House Pub, put some low tables inside so the short people can get into the AC when it's hot outside. Thank you in advance.

Had this for lunch the other day with coworkers. I ordered a club wrap (ham and turkey deli meat). The wrap was good but it had red onions on it. For me I would have ordered it without them but I forgot. But if you like onions you should be fine. Food came fast and hot. Was served with steak fries. Tons of beers to choose from.

This place is unassuming from the outside. Follow the signs and the doors open to great food and drink. Darts and other games on the inside. Outside seating is available as well. We have driven by this location during the day and we stopped in. Excellent food. A real Irish Pub look and feel.

Whenever I go to an English pub I have to have the fish and chips. I can say this place has really good fish and chips but probably not the best I've ever had, therefore the 4 stars instead of 5. But they were very good ad well worth it and I only had the 4 oz version. The waitress Brittany was excellent. My wife had the cheeseburger and also was very good. The ambience was good. When we arrived we were a little confused at the entry as you come in through the outside dining area which is not really outside and you enter through a sliding door. Pictures attached.

Mom. Enjoying wing night. Not much left on our plates.

Ashley is a fantastic bartender and waitress. Loved the fruit punch she made me. Very Florida casual so don't expect a fancy place. I must admit we were only outside because we had my dog. Our server/bartender was spot on excellent. It's hard to find a server this attentive let alone one that is the outdoor bartender. The outside was fairly full and a dj was getting ready. We had the Tuesday special chicken wings for .75 each. They were freshly cooked and plum and thick wings. Not the small ones. I had the garlic sauce. Very nice. Mom had the medium heat. Not hit at all. We both ordered a side of blue cheese and celery. Then we had the spiral cut potatoes. Not what I was expecting. They were thin cut and oh so good. They were more like thin cut potato chips. We both loved those. You should try them. The portion is huge. Enough for 2 of us. Ambiance 4 stars based on the type of place. Food 5 stars. It was excellent Service 5 stars. Ashley was fantastic. Noise level prior to DJ was just right for the space. Outdoor seating does allow smoking. However they have many ceiling and 2 jumbo fans to help with the smoke. I for one hate the smell of cigarettes but this was not offensive here.

Food was really really yummy, super good! Beer was really cold and perfect! The place is cool, an old ice house from the late 1800's.

This is definitely one of our fun "go to" places when we are in the area. We have never had anything we didn't like from The Bangers & Mash to fish and Chips. But our favorite of all is the Artichoke appetizer. They are very lightly breaded and fried and served with a side of ranch dressing we have never found anything that compares. Just so you understand- I really don't like fried food, but I could eat the entire baskets by myself!! He do have a full bar plus several potions on the taps.

My friend, Randy, said to her the sign says 9pm she told him she wasn't doing this with him right now cause she had a hard day. I asked if Randy and I could finish our pool game, and she said no cause they already said they were having a meeting at 8 pm. Which they didn't tell us until after we had already bought our drinks. I said that's BS, and she told me to get my ass out of her bar and that I could keep my ass and drugs oit of her bar. I told her I don't do drugs and she could test my ass. I then said half her staff does cococaine and called her a bitch as I was walking out. She threatened to kick my ass and the 6'5 bar back chic stood up acting like she was going to hit me. This was all while I was walking out to leave. Then after I left she called my boss, Penny, trying to get me fired. Thank God I have an awesome boss. Anyone can ask my boyfriend, Randy, Doug or Bill. They were all there when it happened. She then barred my friend Joie who used to bartend at Charlotte's cause she commented on my Facebook post which is identical to this post.

It's a little off the beaten path for me and I'm a lazy ass so it took me until this weekend to get there! Arriving- It's in the clubhouse of the North Golf Course in the Highland's Ridge Community. Follow the signs for that clubhouse or let your GPS do the work. If you are familiar with the area, it was formally The Tavern. Ambience- So this is what a lot of folks would call a Country Club restaurant. As I had patronized the old tenants, I was curious how they were going to transform it into an Irish Pub. The answer is they didn't! It looks nothing like and Irish Pub. It's a large space with lots of natural light and traditional furniture. It has lots of outside seating that's covered with ceiling fans and many seats have a nice view! There is a very small bar that seats about six. In short, it looks like a Country Club restaurant. So much for pub ambience! Customer Service- Awesome, maybe seven stars! I had substantial interactions with the manager, bartender, and a server. All were exceptional. Adult Libations- Definitely not a pub style bar. It's a full bar with just a few taps but nothing special. Food- Like the ambience, it's an American menu with a couple of Irish dishes. There's Bangers & Mash and Shepard's Pie. Other than that, they throw in a couple of Irish terms to deceive you but it's really an American menu. There're enough choices to satisfy most folks. See their website. I ordered Irish Brisket Flatbread- Brisket, bacon, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, BBQ sauce, mozzarella cheese @ $13. It was out in good time and plated very nicely. Plenty of food for the price so good value. The flatbread was nicely crisp. I love caramelized onions and that's the base here. Everything was very fresh. Plenty of brisket. Unfortunately, the onions overpowered the other ingredients, so the flavors were not balanced. It was tasty but needed a little work to be a winner. Conclusion- If you're looking for an Irish Pub, you're in the wrong place. If you're looking for an American menu that has some potential with a great staff and beautiful outside seating, give it a try. As they are new and the staff is awesome combined with the outside seating, I'm going to be a little charitable and say four stars!
