The store is on the small side however they sell evening dresses, bridal gowns and a small selection of communion/baptism dresses. I found a beautiful dress at another local dress boutique which I was interested, then I came here and found the exact same dress for $125 less! They also offered to include alterations for me. How could I turn that down?! The lady helping me out was so nice and coming back here for alterations was a breeze! Their seamstress is on site for a large part of their business hours which certainly makes it convenient for those who work. When I came back to get my dress altered, the lady at the front remembered me immediately and went to get my dress and put it in a dressing room for me. Now that is stellar service! The time for her to measure & pin my dress for the alterations was so quick, and when I picked up my dress after they fixed it, it was PERFECT. This dress fit me like a glove and I really lost count on how many compliments I received! Again, it's the small things...these stores typically don't have a restroom for public use, however they let me use their restroom. This boutique definitely knows a thing or two about customer service! Can't wait to come back here for my next super fancy dress!

I said I would like to make an appointment. I arrived at the agreed upon time and was asked by the saleslady what I was looking for. I showed her the colors for the wedding I am attending. She asks what my budget was, I told her "it's is whatever I like". She showed me a few dresses but I asked if I could look around. She asked what style I liked and I said "understated and elegant". She said "this is not that kind of store". I didn't really like any of the dresses so I decided to leave. On my way out she said she had another room I could look in. In that side room I saw 1 black and white dress that I liked and she showed me 2 other black dresses. I tried the 1st dress on. As she was zipping me up, I said I didn't care for it and was going to try on the other dress. I went in the room to undress and she said twice " open the door" because she saw me looking at the black and white dress. I said twice "wait a minute please" so she hung it outside my dressing room to try next. I tried on the 2nd dress but didn't like it. I told her that she didn't have to zip me up because I didn't like it and I wanted to try on the black and white dress. She said to me rudely "you don't like nothing; how can you tell if you like it if you don't want to zip it up!" I said, "I can tell without zipping it up if I like it or not and I want to try on the Black and white dress". She then took the B/W dress that was hanging outside my dressing room and hung it back up with the other dresses for sale. I told her "As a sales person you shouldn't make me feel bad". I left and won't be coming back!

The store is full of eclectic and vibrant decor that will speak to the hearts of artists everywhere, ranging from clothing, to furniture, to toys and museum quality gifts. It has a variety of quirky finds that I've never seen before. The intention here is almost like a local gallery exalting each stunning piece of art, no matter how small. The pieces ranged from the very tiny porcelain dog, which was about the size of your thumb, to the very large bears, that were furry and taller than me. Colorful, diverse art dotted the walls and were displayed in all different living room themes for all different tastes and styles of home. This was a clever idea. You could picture the decor in your own home. "Buy local" is the intention here and deteriorating properties were bought up by the owner and given a stunning facelift to elevate the community. This was a closed down roller rink. There was also a cinema next door that turned to a gift shop and off beat eatery. The unique history of each is preserved in the original artifacts throughout. Being that this is art focused and unique, don't have the expectation of Walmart prices. Of course you're getting one-of-a-kind quality pieces that will make your heart sing when you see your selected art displayed proudly in your home. Leon & Lulu also will give you a discount for your birthday if you share that information. If you're in Ferndale, Clawson or Detroit, put this store on your must visit list.

As for the prices I would put them on par for a place that sells the selection that this place has. You can find some items that are cheaper (not cheaply made), and other items that are pretty high (saw a pillow for around $300 ). I will definitely be putting this place on my list of shops to go for the next time I need to shop for friends and family!
