I had to move apartments recently and was recommended Loft Moving by a friend, who had nothing but positive things to say about their pricing and customer service. My friend was 100% right - I had the best moving experience with them. From the initial inquiry, Arthur was in constant communication with me and was always quick to respond to any questions I had. The pricing structure is not only straightforward with no hidden fees, but also extremely fair for the level of service. On moving day, my movers Misha and Alex texted me when they were on the way and showed up right on time with smiles on their faces, ready for the busy day ahead. The building I was moving out of was located in a very busy neighborhood with little street parking, but they were able to find a spot close enough and make it work. The universe also dealt us an unexpected curveball that day: one of my building's elevators was out of service, and it happened to be the elevator closest to my unit (and to where they parked the truck). Because of this, Misha and Alex had to use the elevators located on the far side of the massive apartment complex and walk back and forth for each trip. For context, the walk from my unit to their truck took about 7-8 minutes round trip. I imagine that they made this trek over 20 times! Despite this unforeseen inconvenience, the two of them maintained their cheerful demeanors and moved my belongings with great efficiency. I was particularly impressed by the level of care and thoughtfulness they demonstrated when transporting my belongings. I have a lot of bulky/fragile furniture and delicate plants, and not a single belonging was damaged in transit. Additionally, I was initially worried about dirty tracking into my new apartment, especially since my room has carpeted floors. When I informed them of my concern, they immediately offered to take off their shoes and proceeded to do so each time they entered my unit! They even went the extra step by lining my bedroom floor with a cardboard walkway to prevent any dirt from settling onto the carpets. I was truly impressed by these seemingly small gestures, and their level of attentiveness provided me with a sense of reassurance that everything would be taken care of. Overall, I could not be happier with my moving experience. I have a degree in hospitality and ample experience working in customer service, and I having nothing but praise for Misha and Alex. I requested Loft Moving's service to help move a king-sized foam mattress from my sister's place to my parents' and it was the best decision! The quoted price is reasonable and they were able to schedule me right away despite the short notice. I learned that it is customary for moving companies to start with a minimum hours rate rather than quote by simplicity/complexity of the job; since I only had one mattress to move, I then utilized the remaining time to have them help me move a few furniture pieces, push some bulk pickup items to curbside, as well as flipping over a mattress to replace shorter legs -- tasks that I had meant to get around to but never found the time nor energy all got done within minutes. This moving company was a blessing. They are professionally trained and skilled, as well as polite and respectful. I have all glass furniture that's very expensive. They go the extra mile to make sure everything is properly wrapped, blanketed and crated for secure transport. They are also very strong because my furniture is heavy. They took down my huge flat screens and mounts off the walls and properly crated them. They took down my eastern king bed and reassembled it in my new home as well as reassembling my dinner table. I called Arthur a week before an apartment I desired became available and had to move in a week. This is my 7th move in 5 years and although this was the most complicated move i've ever done, it was the easiest with Loft Moving. Arthur secured me a spot the following weekend and prepared me for my VERY COMPLICATED move, which was really 3 moves in a weekend: One move of a bunch of stuff to storage and picking up furniture i ordered, one move from my old apartment ( where I once lived with my ex-husband) and one move to get my stuff from my actual apartment. From the moment his team arrived, they evaluated the packed stuff and got to work. They were gentle both on their feet and so gentle with my stuff. They wrapped everything like pro's and packed it efficiently and securely. These guys are like Russian Olympian team I swear! They were so professional and so kind and courteous.
