    kayaking on the lake

Underrated place for Central Valley residents to do water sports! It's a small lake compared to most, but its location is perfect for Stockton residents (25 min drive). Parking tip: If you park across the street from the entrance (or in any residential areas nearby), you don't have to pay for the $5 parking fee. Went kayaking on a Saturday afternoon in June. It's a really great place for family BBQs, taking a nice walk, etc. They have decent priced stand up paddle boards and kayaks on the dock, and they kept our personal belongings inside the shack for us while we were on the water. I liked kayaking away from the dock because if you follow the path of the water, you pass a bunch of families BBQing, hanging out, I even saw a wedding party once. (so it's really great if you love people watching).

Originally came here hoping to hike. The trail however isn't that long or difficult, so we walked around & explored the park. It's a cute, peaceful place to spend the day (jet ski/boat areas are loud duh, but find a nice spot & you'll have a good time). At the end of the day we took our kids to the swim area. It isn't that big & the water had slight debris, but they still had fun. Overall Cheap Parking. Cheap Swimming. Will deff be back

Lodi Lake in the Village of Lodi, California. My friend invited my kids and I, for his Son's 9 th bday party at Lodi Lake. But my two teenagers, didn't want to come. So I brought my youngest daughter. The park has plenty of shade for you and your loved ones. Right by the water there's tables and BBQ pits. For the younger kids there's a playground for them. If you have boats, jet skis or kayaks, you should bring them. The lake is big enough to have a fun time in the water. There are restrooms and they were pretty clean. The park is kept up pretty well. It was nice to see people walking to the garbage can and actually throwing their trash away. That may sound normal for some but unfortunately where I live and I go to a lot of parks there's fools always having parties and just leaving their mess right there. What I did notice, was Lodi's finest patrolling the park like crazy. That's another thing that I'm not used too. (The Man patrolling the parks) (every 15 minutes) So don't get caught slippin. Just pour your drink in a Styrofoam cup, then you all good. Yeah, Lodi Lake is straight hella chill. Kicking back and relaxing and enjoying the moment. That's how I roll 24/7 :) I most definitely want to comeback here again. What can I say, I love parks. We had a very beautiful time here at Lodi Lake. All the kids that came to the birthday party, all had a great time. That's the only thing that matters to us (parents). It's a wonderful feeling, seeing your loved ones having a blast and smiling. If you don't have children, just think of the feeling your parents felt. When they saw YOU smiling. Love, that's what's it's all about. Sincerely VD.

Such a comforting place to be. The water is calming and absolutely beautiful when the sun shines down.

When you first arrive at this place you don't expect what you see. The first thing that you notice is the lake. After being Amazed by this breathtaking lake especially when the sun is shining down on it, you notice these beautiful trees surrounding you. This place is soothing and relaxing. It's perfect if you want to take a morning jog or afternoon. You will run into deer's, and you do have beautiful homes surrounding you as well. This place is awesome! We decided to have a picnic by the lake and enjoy the scenery of the beautiful ducks

Great place to paddle boat and go kayaking! Love the peaceful vibes found there! If you are a Lodi resident it's only $4 entrance fee and if you aren't it's only $5! There is plenty parking and area to enter the lake and swim.

This was our first time here and the entire lake was dried up? Do they drain the lake every winter? I'm not sure, but we were very disappointed. We came here based on the other reviews and pictures. Well, maybe we'll check back during the summer.

Lake was little dirty with garbage in the water. Kids were there to fish. Not a great place to do that. However over all was nice, quite and a great place for kayaking.

I love that this beautiful place is nearby. There's wildlife everywhere! Ducks, fish, turtles, squirrels, and even deer that roam around on the trials. It's a clean park with a playground (currently missing the regular swings, but still have two toddler swings). There's enough tables all over the park and even bbq grills. There's people boating, kayaking, fishing, jogging/exercising, and people watching. The trials nearby have hidden "Lodi Rocks" that are painted in acrylic paint and hidden in the trees for hikers to discover. You can either keep it or hide it in another spot for other adventurers to find.

On the Canoe with my son & my husband!

Wonderful lake for walking but the fishing sucks balls. If you can ignore the rude teens you can have a great time here.

They were incredibly easy to work with and managed to get us in for a Father's Day weekend charter on short notice on Folsom Lake, which was much appreciated. We booked a 3-hour trip and packed in a ton of fun! The crew was totally flexible and let us customize the experience to be exactly what we wanted. We cruised around the lake, swam, and even tried water surfing behind the boat. Sky was amazing with our daughter--she gave her a lesson, walked her through the basics, and coached her the entire way. It made the experience so much more memorable for our family. They came fully equipped with everything we needed, including life vests for the whole crew. Whether we had wanted to just relax and cruise or stay in the water the whole time, they were happy to go with whatever worked for us. Next time, we're definitely going to try the tubes and the floating island--they had it all ready and it looked like a blast. Highly recommend Wake on the Lake if you're looking for a fun, professional, and flexible boat charter experience!

DO NOT HIRE - WORST SERVICE…read more We hired this company as a shuttle to take our guests to the after party after our wedding, and then back to the hotels after the after party. Due to the number of guests the shuttle agreed to make two trips to transport everyone. It arrived on time at the end of the wedding, guests got on, it left for the bar, and then we waited. And waited. My husband finally called them after about an hour and they said they would be there in 15 minutes. We kept waiting. Finally my father went ahead to the bar where the afterparty would be, and on the way he ran into the shuttle which had broken down. He stopped to help, our DJ went over to give them a jump, and meanwhile everyone still waiting at the wedding had to scramble to find alternate transportation to the bar. By this point many people had left the after party due to the late arrival of the bride and groom, and it really ruined the mood the rest of the night. The shuttle did eventually return to bring us back to the hotel, where it only had to make one trip. After this terrible experience we emailed with the management, asking for a 50% refund as the shuttle only did half the job. They refused to refund that much and in the end we only got a $200 deposit back. I understand that things happen, but if they had only communicated honestly the situation may have been able to be fixed earlier with alternate transportation. It was really a down way to end our wedding. This company is not transparent and I warn everyone against hiring them.

We were the only ones that signed up for the earliest tour that day and were lucky to have a private tour. The tour has informative history about the caverns with landmarks along the way. The most interesting thing we didn't know about is they have caving adventure tours where you shimny through holes and narrow spaces with a guide but our kids aren't old enough to partake. This was the first show cave in California and townspeople lived in them during harsh winters in the 1800s. There was a bar inside and a church and nails were even given to people to carve on the walls. Because of this there are signs of harm everywhere with soot, broken formations, and dirty coloration from human hand oils and even champagne poured on a rock formation. The caverns are huge and beautiful with some jaw-dropoing rooms. The walking tour is very safe though we loved the slight danger and claustrophobic feel of the Mercer Caverns. When you leave the shop has some cool historical items pulled from the caves on display like glass bottles, etc .. that are worth checking out.
