In the western Wayne County city of Belleville, there's a great bowling center that the whole family can enjoy. While they don't offer boutique bowling like several nearby centers; henceforth, you can enjoy old school style bowling, in a completely clean, and smoke free environment. Lodge Lanes has been around since 1965, when they opened with 16 lanes. A few years later on they expanded to the present day 40 lanes, as the bowling boom of the 1960s and 1970s swept America by storm. Likewise, this was a move designed to compete with the nearby Zana Bowl, just off Main Street in downtown Belleville, which closed in the 1990s. While many nearby bowling centers charge some rather high prices; Lodge Lanes has some of most affordable prices in the Metro Detroit area. For instance, on Tuesdays and Thursday's, you can bowl for $2.00 per game, or $10.00 an hour. Even better, if your a senior citizen (age 50 and older) you bowl for $1.60 per game during open bowling hours. I found that the House Shot uses medium-to-heavy oil during open bowling, and heavy oil during league competition. There's a pro-shop at Lodge Lanes that can polish or sand your bowling ball accordingly to whatever oil condition is being used on their new synthetic lanes. So do yourself a favor, and enjoy some fun times with your family or friends at Lodge Lanes. You'll have a lot of fun.

We were greeted immediately and the man working offered to upgrade me to a suite, which was really kind. I chose to keep my original room since I needed a king size bed. The room was clean and bright. The bed is super soft, which is fine for me but not for my husband. I love the 24 hour coffee tea and hot chocolate. The pool was nice. There is no hot tub. You must be 18 to go to the fitness room now. My minor son was bummed as he likes to walk on the treadmill next to me. We like the waffles at breakfast and the oatmeal bar. The juices are tasty too too. The other entrees change from day to day. I enjoyed the quiche yesterday but didnt try the biscuits and gravy today.

Tracy and Todd and the rest of the staff at the Meeting House made the entire experience so incredibly enjoyable. From the first meeting to the final exit Tracy and Todd were - friendly, respectful, helpful, attentive, responsive and incredibly kind to say the least. They fielded phone calls, emails and many may questions from myself, and parents of the bride and groom. The food was incredible, the service was outstanding the venue was beautiful. It exceeded every expectation and with much help from the entire staff at the Meeting House my wedding was as cliche as it sounds. The best day of our lives! The space was incredibly large and laid out in a very cool way, the high ceilings and wood floods with grand piano and fire place made it such cozy, beautiful venue for our wedding day! I would recommend the Meeting House to anyone looking for a venue in the metro Detroit area. - Happy Bride! :-)

Meh. We went for my…read morehusbands holiday party. It was just not glam. A rickety tiny elevator ride up with tacky sheets as decor. It about summed up the experience. Luckily decor was much better when we reached our party room destination. Travelling apps were not terribly impressive but still tastyish. The bacon wrapped chicken on a skewer was ginormous. Awkward to eat. Tasted the best of the three though. The crabcakes were miniscule and mostly breading. My husband seemed unimpressed with the shrimp. The salads were simply dressed with no option but with what I guess could be called vinaigrette if I were being generous. The rolls were very grainy and not my thing. My salmon would have been terrific if it had been fresh. It was a huge portion but cold and the sauce had congealed. I liked the roasted potatoes and the veggies but again, cold. My husbands sliced steak concoction was at least warm and it was super tender. It was also well beyond a generous portion. He disliked the sauce though. The bar staff did well. We avoided the pitchers of flat beer and bad merlot, which helped. The mixed drinks were stellar. My Tito's and soda with a wee splash of cran and a lime were perfect. My husbands tequila and pineapple was also delish. Dessert was as good as the alcohol. Fantastic apple spice cake with cream cheese and caramel and a creamy chocolate pie. Yum. It was just typical wedding to me. I would never choose it myself.

This is a very nicely renovated mansion turned into a woman's club. Like a late 1800's gentleman's club, only for women. There is a locker room/workout room/nursing area, but I did not see them because I am not a woman. They have lectures and groups within the club. They have a full kitchen, and the usual food on offer seemed like you would expect at a starbucks or better. They have drinks, coffee, and wine. The wine was higher end. And they use an ordering app so members at different rooms of the club can order easily. Lots of rooms. Dining and lecture rooms, lounge and club type rooms, conference rooms. A large event room. All really nice. There are smaller serving bars on the second and third floors. Depending on age, annual membership is 600 or 1200 dollars. It looked great. Maybe it could have used more restrooms, but that is sort of reaching for something negative to say.
