I'd suggest making it very strong but sticking tightly to verifiable facts and your experience rather than accusations like "lies" or assigning intent. That usually lands harder and is more credible.
I rarely write reviews, but this experience has honestly continued to bother me enough that I felt compelled to share it in hopes of helping someone else avoid the same situation.
My biggest advice: get a detailed price breakdown upfront, in writing, before services begin. If pricing changes or additional charges are added, ask questions immediately and do not assume the final bill will reflect what you historically paid.
We have used her services for years for my mother's sister loc maintenance. Historically, our maintenance appointments were typically in the $600-800 range and followed a fairly consistent structure. In the past, we were charged $160/hour for the first two hours and then a lower hourly rate afterward. Wash services were also generally included.
This appointment was completely different. We were charged $250 PER HOUR, plus an additional $200 separation fee and $150 reconstruction fee. We were also told there was a travel fee based on driving 240 miles plus an additional $140 "professional/driving" fee related to time spent in the car. Her address also seemed to changed interestingly enough to cause her 'milegage fee to double from 120miles round trip to 240miles. I won't go into further detail about this as I was SHOCKED that she truly believed that I would by this 'I moved recently' story. That was the nail in the coffin. Times can be hard for sure but your integrity should NEVER reflect that. The final bill for approximately three hours of maintenance came to $1,450.
To put that into perspective, there was no wash service, and the supplies brought to the appointment appeared minimal. I specifically had to request an itemized explanation after the fact because none of these charges or the pricing structure had been clearly discussed beforehand.
The maintenance work itself was fine. This review is not about the quality of the styling. It is entirely about transparency and consistency. When you have been a long-term client and experience such a dramatic pricing shift without clear communication beforehand, it creates a level of confusion and distrust that is hard to overlook.
This review honestly breaks my heart to write because we had a longstanding relationship. But transparency and trust matter. Clients should understand exactly what they are agreeing to and exactly what they are paying for before services begin. She's a hard no for me. read more
