I made an appointment on the website on the morning I wanted to go, place wasn't even open yet and the earliest appt was 12:30 so I grabbed it. I've learned not to just show up at these places as there was sometimes a 2 hour wait. Anyway I show up there a little earlier and there were like 3 employees sitting on their phones, didn't look busy at all so I don't know why I had to make an appointment. Worst hair cut ever. I showed the picture of what I wanted and it wasn't even close. I lost 5 to 6 inches of my length and it was only supposed to be 1 to 2 inches, no layers in my hair and I wanted long layers, and my sides are longer than my back. Pleasantly surprised at how decent the haircut was ! Stephanie cut my hair and it was everything I asked for. I usually go to a more upscale place which cost around $65 for a full service haircut/blow dry. Sometimes I would hit up a medium-cost place like Chinatown for $35-45, which I really love since they know how to work in my layers, plus they pamper and give relaxing shampooing/massage, blow dry and style carefully. Anyways today I just wanted a trimming and take some weight off my top layers so didn't want to blow too much money for extra frills. Decided to give this budget cut place a try. I was very specific about what I wanted and Stephanie followed my wishes to a tee. The service is fast and efficient, don't expect to be pampered and have a meticulous haircut. After all, this is a basic haircut place and they're allowed 30 mins by the company to finish your wash+haircut. $24 for wash+cut is a fair deal, no blow dry. You can add blow dry for extra cost. I'm still going to go to my expensive salons for complex cuts, but will definitely use this place to maintain/trims more often in between. read more

I was VERY pleased with the service I received from Shauna (sp ?) last Wednesday. On an impulse, I stopped in the day before Thanksgiving and asked for a cut and style. Shauna is relatively new to the area and to the salon and I was fortunate to have her as my stylist. I am very pleased with the cut that she gave to me and scheduled my next app't while there. I went there for a man's haircut. I told he operator I wanted it short. She then proceeded to turn me away from the mirror and sheared me like a sheep! I was horrified when I finally got to see what she had done. I had to have the manager finish up the job but there was not much she could do. My hair was gone! I look like a marine recruit. You can see more scalp than hair in the back. I have never been so humiliated in my life. I don't know how I can go to work tomorrow. read more

They are very disorganized. Told me twenty minutes. Left after waiting for over an hour. Another customer was told he would be seen right at 12. Ending up leaving very angry at 1:35 when he was still waiting. Same thing happened with several other customers who were told incorrect wait times and could not wait any longer. I think most of us would have been okay with the wait times as long as they were honest about them, instead of having everyone expecting to be seen much sooner they were able to do. read more

I've been getting my hair cut here for a year now, switched from another hair cuttery next to wegmans down 70. The main reason for switching was crowds and also customer service. This hair cuttery is less crowded, almost never a wait. I found a great hairdresser named Autumn, she's friendly and always cut/colors my hair the exact way I want. There's not a lot of times in my life where I get the urge to try something different and cut my hair. My hair was pretty long so I was hesitant to get longer layers done. When I went in, I was taken almost immediately and I explained what I wanted done and no more than that. The polite woman who took care of me, her name was Lisa.she knew that I didn't want my hair cut short so I gave her my trust and I was not disappointed. She did exactly what I wanted and no more. This salon and Sterling, a stylist there, are the best! Sterling gave me a great color/cut consultation and fixed the mistakes of other stylists elsewhere to give me the the desired shade/style I have been looking for over the years, without success, until now!! (I looked around the salon and saw other stylists doing great work, and this was right near a holiday too, an underrated Hair Cuttery location and, to make mention, a professional salon.) read more

Do not go here. Went here 3/12/15 and had my haircut by the lone male that works there. His last name was Dentino. Not only did he suck at his job but he smelled like a menthol cigarette ashtray and his breathing was very loud. I asked to have my head shaved with a 4 and blend it into a 5 on top which is pretty simple. Next I said I wanted a straight line cut in the back. End result was half of the back a straight line and the other half uncut. The top of my head looked lopsided afterwards. Had to spend another $20 after after to have it cut again by my regular barber. If your trying to save time on a cut do not go here. Ever. Could have done a better job myself. read more

I'm usually a patient and understanding person but when I am humiliated that all goes out the window. Today I decided to treat myself to a long very overdue haircut. For convenience I went to the HAIR CUTTERY ON KINGS HIGHWAY IN CHERRY HILL. The girl started to cut my hair then "Oh hun I need to stop." Hun? I'm older than you sweetie. "You have lice." Immediately I thought of my 4 month old son and of course she scared the shit out of me. She called her manager over to confirm. I went to CVS horrified and totally grossed out with a wet head, haircut started and asked for lice treatment. Went to my mom's house, she started combing it and the shit was coming out. She called her hairdresser and she along with another coworker confirmed it was hairspray build up. How do you mistake THAT for LICE!? So because I finally for once decide to do something for myself I'm out $35 for lice treatment I don't even need not to mention the embarrassment. Do not go to this or any location they apparently don't know the difference between lice and hairspray!!!! read more

Possibly the worst haircut I've had in my life (though I recall one as a child that made my mother cry). Came here for the first time as I've had good haircuts at the Marlton location and I'm not down for spending more than I have to on a men's haircut. The hairdresser seemed pretty careless in how she was cutting, just haphazardly trimming away. The end result looked pretty bad. It's the first time I walked out of a haircut looking worse than when I came in. I was promised it would settle... it did not. Won't be back, but will be looking for somewhere else that can satisfy my stingy attitude toward haircuts. read more
