Nice place to skate without many people on the ice. Good ice conditions today. Easy free parking and to find this place

Pretty decent hockey rink. It's one of the rinks used in the league that I play in, the NESHL (New…read moreEngland Senior Hockey League) and I found it to be one of the better ones so far. The parking outside is spacious which is pretty awesome - it's in fact a lot better than the rink in Everett in those terms. And that is also the case for the locker rooms which are also pretty big. That aside, the ice was in pretty good condition and not as soft as in other rinks, mostly because of the fact that the rink itself is kept at a colder temperature. The lighting of the ice is decent but the benches are a bit too short in length. Some of us had to stand up during the game... All in all this is a pretty solid ice skating rink though. I'm playing there next week and look forward to it.

Tufts a no gotta their own rink on campus since they didn't have varsity hockey until a few years back. Good trivia (trivierrr) in case you're ever in town. It's small, not a lot of seats, but it's cozy. And you can see just fine, and they don't mind if you stand up right next to the boards so that's cool to get the close up especially when there's a big hit right in front of you. Plenty of locals in the stands (who knew there were so many Norwich hockey alums in the area?) and lotsa "Hey Laaahrrry, how's the wife?" type of talk. Always amusing to hear. Jack had never been to a hockey game so it was pretty fun for him. However, I think he had just as much fun playing the racecar video game in the lobby. Actually I did too!

Think of this place as the run down version of a plant fitness. Packed and busy during the winter…read more But come summer time prices go down. You can split it with a group for 2 hours for a decent price each person. Obviously winter in there bust season but still not a bad place to rent for an hour with a bunch of your buddies. No heat so plenty of motivation to run more, it's made of old hockey rinks but the turf isn't that bad to play on. The netting is ragged and very used so hit the ball correctly you might have to get it. They sell gatorades in there so just incase if you forget to bring one in.

I've been coming to this place for about 3 years. On its best day this place is a 2.5, maybe 3 star…read moresort of place. I mean, I get it. They have a facility - at a low rental price point - in a city where such space is really valuable. The following are three things that have ensured that I won't be taking my business there again: 1. Cheap vs. low cost: You get what you pay for kind of place. Nickle and diming on league play with their $20 membership card that is NEVER checked. Questionable referees. One of the turf fields is barely turf. Feels like you're playing on concrete so careful with knees and ankles. The place feels just feels like they don't really have any interest in putting any money into maintaining it. Cheap. 2. Rundown vs. spartan: To say that the facility is bare-bones is pretty gracious. I mean, you don't really need much, but in the winter it's not really heated, the water (not just fountains, but bathroom sinks and toilets) were broken for like a month - that was awesome, especially with a 5 year old kid... I've already mentioned that one field... 3. Rude, unprofessional, and just kinda mean :\ You know, the reason we all put up with it was because we understood that this was the kind of place you just came and played and left with no real expectation for much else. Fair enough. The proverbial feather on the camel's back was this week when - because of their administrative error or confusion - they accused me of GOING OUT OF MY WAY to be a "nuisance" to them when my weekly pick-up didn't book on the new year's weekend. The reason we didn't show up was because we never planned to be there that day because, well, it was new years... On the phone with Juan (who I imagine is a manager?), he told me that we intentionally did it to cause them distress. Didn't really understand why they would assume that this was our motivation considering we've never been late to pay, have always called ahead, shown up, etc... On top of this, his tone was a bit inflammatory as if he were doing me the favor of letting us patronize their facility. Anyway, it was pretty clear these guys aren't interested in cultivating relationships with organizers like me (I run a weekly pickup with a pool of over 60 players), so I'm on the hunt for a new place that will appreciate my patronage and doesn't treat me like the poorly maintained grounds and equipment they find themselves in. I've noticed that I'm not the first pickup group or league to leave this facility because of similar reasons.

She took care of everything including finding the perfect location, the invitations (designing, printing, mailing and RSVP), the menu, the linens, flowers and centerpieces and even provided a Bluetooth sound system so that we could control the music, the slideshow and the mic for special tributes to my mom . If that weren't enough, we weren't prepared with the correct wires for our own laptop... she ran out to RadioShack and was back in 15 minutes to save the day! My mom was amazed and thrilled, the guests complimented the entire event. Amy has so much enthusiasm and energy and clearly LOVES her job! Thanks for making my Mom's Birthday Fabulous!!
