Expect to be mowed down by hundreds of bratty children and obnoxious preteens. I was confused that they only rented hockey skates, no figure skates - is this common? - and the ones available to rent aren't in top condition. But, hey, they're $5, I guess you get what you pay for. On the plus side, it's across the street from Razzy's, so you can get a drink after you skate? Or maybe...before you skate?

Finding it and getting to it was rather easy as it's right off of 93 and it features a large parking lot. However the one thing that's great about it is the quality of the ice and the spectator seating. Both are top notch. However the locker rooms are tiny, especially for a roster of 15+ players. Out in the front they have a handful or two of parking spots, but out in the back there's a really nice sized parking lot that I covet for the other (more convenient) skating rinks I frequent. Five long benches were plenty for the decent sized crowd that I found sprawled out on the rink this afternoon. Everyone left their shoes and bags under the benches since there were no shelves or lockers available for our use. But the gal's bathroom with 3 toilets, 2 sinks, and a super strong blow dryer, was really clean and well stocked with toilet paper and soap. I had my own skates, but my friend rented a pair of hockey skates for $5 at the snack bar window, which also had hot chocolate and a small selection of candy for sale. Romantic notion when you're pretty much skating on concrete?…read more The admission fee and rentals make this spot totally not worth. You're really only here for the location and that nebulous "romantic feel". The ice itself is atrocious, even though the rink (and I use that term lightly) does get a Zamboni out from time-to-time. But the ice is so uneven. You can see concrete in some spots, with how some of the ice is so thin. You'll encounter a lot of folks that cannot stay vertical on skates, it's just the reality. Don't be surprised when someone behind you suddenly grabs you in desperation to prevent themselves from falling. Plus it's super crowded here during peak times. There are so many other nearby spots of grab better and more affordable concessions, so don't fall for the ones here.
