Horrible customer service. They came out to fix my brand new fridge and after an hour and a half they ordered wrong part. Randy yelled at me and told me it was my fault for getting a fridge at a big box store. I requested Lockwood to fix our dishwasher in February 2025. The repairman talked down to us and made us feel stupid. He didn't fix the problem. We then contacted REGISTER APPLIANCE WHO CORRECTLY DIAGNOSED and fixed it. We used Lockwood twice in 2021 and 2023 and they were ok, but it seems things have changed. I needed service on our 4 year old GE Front Load Washer that would start and shortly stop and turn itself off and give me messages about the Smart Dispenser being empty, even though it was full. I called Charlotte Appliance (where we bought the washer) for a recommendation for service, they recommended Lockwood Appliance. Hindsight being 20 / 20, I should have checked reviews! Unfortunately Zero Stars is not an option! I highly recommend staying away from these folks unless you have a washer built in the 1990's. They never answer the phone, they will call you back, sometimes. After a few You Tube Videos I figured out how to get the error codes and run the diagnostic tests. I left a voice mail message with Lockwood Appliance with all the error codes and test results from the diagnostics, and offered my opinion that it was the Control Board. Rachel from Lockwood called me back and said that she checked out the codes I left on the voice mail and she thought it was the Dispenser module, because of the Empty Dispenser messages. She then proceeded to tell me that no one stocked parts in the area, so she would order a part and send out the technician. I asked her to make sure he had a control board along withe dispenser module. So, after two days waiting for parts to come in Randy the Tech came out to diagnose the problem. He proceeded to work on the washer and tried a dispenser module that he brought with him. It did not fix the problem. I said do you think its the control board, Randy said yes. But, he didn't have one with him, even though I requested that they arrive with one. After he left I realized he had no clue as to how to remove the front panel! He left the washer with several deep scratches in the paint and and the plastic from trying to pry the cover off with a screwdriver. Another two days, and Randy comes back with the Control Board. I showed him all the scratches he said he would get me some touch up paint, haven't received it yet, I'm not holding my breath waiting! Randy installed the control board, he checked that the washer started and did not shut off. He decided everything was working and left, after I paid him for the control board and the service call. I forgot to check to see if the washer's wifi connection was working, it was not, that's my bad. The only recourse Lockwood Appliance has offered after several phone messages and text messages was that I needed to call GE to fix the WiFi problem. Geez! Thanks for the great customer service!!! Why not send Randy back to fix what was not broken to begin with? I opened the Washer and installed the harnesses correctly (see photo), not the way the "tech" installed them. The wifi immediately responded and hopefully the thermistor is going to work properly after having been plugged into the wifi connector. I should have just fixed this myself and saved time and money...I will in the future. read more

Not only did you not fix our Speed Queen dryer, you left it worse than it was. The rattle is still there and after you left, it did not dry. A real technician came out after you and reconnected the sensor you failed to connect. In addition to being rude to both me and my wife, your body odor is so extreme, (seriously, you should see a doctor) it took me three hours to air out the house after you left. read more

Lockwood is a Frigidaire service agent. They came to evaluate my refrigerator in response to my under warranty call to Frigidaire. They called and confirmed this call and came as expected. They diagnosed the problem but I wanted to discuss the repair with Frigidaire before allowing the repair. After calling Frigidaire, we were able to come to an agreement so they placed a work order with Lookwood to repair the refrigerator. However, this time there was no confirmation call so I tried to call Lockwood and got a recording. I left a message asking if there was a problem and asked for a call back. They didn't call back! After two days I called again. They never called back. This was repeated for a week. Then I called every day to two different phone numbers with the same outcome. I got a recording and left a message. NO RESPONSE! I WILL NEVER USE THEM AND RECOMMEND AGAINST USING THEM! read more

Quick diagnosis and parts ordered. installed a couple days later and its working again and I paid a fair price Then my newer, 12 years old, washer locked up, literally wouldn't open the door with a load in. I called Lockwood after being referred by Charlotte Appliance since I bought my fridge there. Randy came out several days later and literally was in my house diagnosing the problem in less than 5 minutes. I was elated Randy said he knew what was wrong, but disappointed they couldn't expedite the part. Another few days passed and Randy replaced a part to the tune of over $400 and within days we realized the fridge was warm again. After several 3 minute visits Randy threw up his arms and said he would refund our money. Long story short we only were refunded part of what we spent to have a broken refrigerator we ended up replacing. No one would contact me back or refund the total! read more

Have a maintenance contract through New Leaf. They called/emailed Lockwood to come service my appliance. Was supposed to have been called by Lockwood within 48 hours. Never received a call. I called and left a voicemail. A week later, still no call back from Lockwood. New Leaf called again and again no response from Lockwood. I called Lockwood again, and their voicemail messaged had changed, so I have to believe they got my message but again a week later no response. Do not understand why Randy would come out to look at problem with a loud noise my washing machine is having in the draining process and say it needed a part and would order. I called 3 times to folow up, and they are totally ghosting me. I am left up in air. If he felt the machine could not be fixed or if the part was unavailable, why not inform me of this. Totally unprofessional and not the way to do business. I might add, I was charged over $200 to fix a leak the machine had one month prior. Maybe this service caused the subsequent issue. read more

Lockwood has been very helpful to me in past but yesterday failed to assess my cooktop imbalance issue declaring in less than five seconds that it was fine. After a $107. bill I spent 24 hours soul-searching, took photos, called several times, sent FB message. No call-back. As a small business owner, I find this unacceptable. Can't get a call back from this company. I've tried for 2 weeks, leaving at least 5 voice mails (they never pick up the phone), I had my wife call from her phone, in case they are tracking me and won't talk to me. Same result, they don't ever pick up the phone but only ask for your info in a voice mail. My warranty situation has stalled for 3 weeks now because they don't followup after the initial service call. I can't believe a company can exist with NO follow through. read more

Will try to be totally fair with this review. First call to Lockwood was 5 years ago. Page Appliance delivered our new Speed Queen front load washer. However, the young fellows were unfamiliar with setting up this model, and as a result they neglected to remove a temporary shipping component. Washer was floor walking. Page referred us to Lockwood, who came out and fixed it a-okay. No problems since. Thank you, Lockwood Appliance! Next issue was with our GE Profile refrig ice-maker. Took a few visits, but finally fixed it. More recently, we experienced water leaking on floor from same fridge. Problem apparently is a clogged drain pipe. Technician didn't really project positivism--"you're only going to get 10 years on average from a fridge"--and appeared reluctant to do repair. Finally stated he couldn't move fridge away from wall to do repair, because it would cause him physical pain. Thus my wife and I struggled to move the fridge out, but couldn't do it. Technician then left, we were billed for service call (~$75), but were told if "we could move fridge out," we could call them back and our charge would be applied to it. Want to make clear we are sympathetic to plight of technician. He was elderly, wore huge knee pads, and sincerely appeared challenged, physically, to do task. My issue: why send out a tech who is compromised physically to do a demanding task? Why not send an apprentice with him? Or provide tech with a dolly that would have facilitated task? Bottom line is we were not pleased with their latest visit, will not use them in future, nor can we recommend to others. Grateful for fine service 5 years ago, but not this most recent time. read more

They misdiagnosed my dishwasher issue on the first visit. I called and left a message. never heard from them and had to call them back a 2nd time. The lady I talked to told me she talked to the tech and that they decided to order a pump. Said it would be in by the end of the week (last week) and they would call me to get me on the calendar before the holiday. Well... here it is the following week, 1 day before the holiday, and they haven't even so much as called me. I guess I have to get on the phone with frigidaire to let them know this is how their referrals turn out and that they should probably dispute the warranty claim that I am sure Lockwood was diligent about submitting. The manufacturer of my dishwasher was able to contact them, and they were told that the part was on order and they expected it by Friday, the same story I got two weeks ago. Rochester peeps. Do not go through Lockwood Appliance for a warranty or on your own. Our refrigerator was freezing food, then not cooling and starting to smell like something was leaking or burning back on Dec 2nd. 1st service call on Dec 5th, had to order a part. My 80 yo dad questioned them, confirming this would fix it. One older gentleman came back yesterday and said it was fixed. Plugged it in , didnt wait and left. This was 3pm. My dad called the office. Spoke to the same receptionist that has been rude to my dad prior to this and told him it can take up to 24 hours to cool. I came home at 10:30 pm. I smelled the SAME smell before I walked into the house! It was smelling like that for hours!!! The freezer was room temp and the refrigerator piece was not cold at all. We unplugged it. Smell is gone this morning. Proceeded to call that office and talk to the rude receptionist who proceeded to tell me that it wasn't the refrigerator, it is borderless and colorless. So I told her she implying that I am lying, when that was the original issue to begin with. This smell was in the house for 7 hours, and immediately triggered a migraine. She said it was something else in the house. I asked why the repairman didnt stay to make sure, why it 2 weeks to get part and now I wont have a refrigerator for Christmas and why she is questioning me on what I am reporting. She again stated that I was incorrect and the the repairman was the OWNER!!! Seriously? This is how they run this company? I said nope, calling Home Depot. Btw, I left details out, this high level.
