I have 2 different houses at different locations which both have a public mailbox and each requires a key. I went in to see if they could sell me 2 new locks with identical locks so that I would only need to carry 1 key to open either of the mailboxes. After some discussions among themselves they said that they could do it. It took them about 20 minutes to do so and it wasn't "cheap" .... however unlike another key shop in Chico (that I haven't been that happy with) that said that they couldn't do that I walked away from Locksmithing Enterprises as a happy camper as their two locks with needing only 1 key works great . read more

this is not my first transaction with them. ive gone in in person several times and each time come away feeling like I was not valued at all and quite a bother for them to deal with. I called on the phone and the lady who answered not only kinda laughed at me but told me what I wanted was impossible or expensive and not to bother. These guys really saved me when i had lost my keys for a bike rack on my car. I used my old crappy keys to copy, which were in an awkward shape when i showed up to the shop. They got 3 out of 4 keys correct, and even came out in the pouring rain to check on their error. They tried it again and the key worked! Wow. Ten minutes, and they produced a set of keys for my truck topper--without even a key to copy. David also took it upon himself to screw in my locking apparatus (I never even asked) and grease up all my hinges, simply because he said my truck 'needed it'. Dianna was a badass as well. Incredibly unprofessional! We just had this company come out and fix a locking issue. The lock issue was resolved but the fellow re keyed the lock to my key and didn't think to check the keys of all my employees. So what happened, everyone else was had no ability to open or close up my office. When my office manager approached this man he treated her like this was our problem...hmmm this is your profession guy not ours. Then he said he'd be out the next day to deal with the other keys. Never showed up, never called. When my office manager took our keys in to be dealt with she asked him why he never showed up or called and he told her he had an emergency client. So, my office not being able to be opened or locked up isn't an emergency, that at least deserves a phone call?! We are a health clinic with patients that depend on us! Not even an apology from him! We've been using this company for years... That was our last time! read more

If you are going to get a motorcycle key copied AVOID this place at all cost. They might have good service for other things. I dont know as I have never gotten anything else from them, but they are incompetent with my visit. They couldnt find a motorcycle key in their shop so they offered to order one and I agreed, no problem. But They said "I will call you in a couple days when it arrives". 4 days later no call. So I call and leave a message, and no one calls me back for 2 days. I call back again and find out that they never placed an ordered for the key. He said he would order it now and will call me tomorrow when it arrives. 3 days later still nothing, no call no key. They dont care, have an incompetent system, and staff. Or, have no post it notes in the office to write down my number and my order. I get no call after a while longer, so I call and he said "he has my key." I thought I would just go to the store once and get a key copied. It took 2 visits and 3 calls to track it down. Finally the key was $3.57, i gave him a 10 dollar bill and ask for 4 quarters for change and he gives me back a 5, 3 ones, and 4 quarters. That math works for me read more

This business was highly unprofessional in the way they handled our housing situation. They used profanity when speaking to us about changing our house locks and wanted to charge $85 for working "overtime" at 4 o'clock. I just wouldn't recommend working with them unless you want to deal with rude and impractical employees. These guys are the best in town! I needed a key for my Subaru that had been stolen and missing for a few weeks. I got the key code from the dealer and took the numbers too Valley Lock and Key who made a key that did not work. Then I had to tow it to the Subaru dealer who couldn't do anything. I assumed the code was wrong. I then towed it to Locksmithing Enerprises. The woman there referenced the code and in minutes made a key that worked perfectly! I wished I had gone to them first. I would have saved a lot of money! I had a previous great experience with them fixing a lock and key system on an antique door. They are fun, friendly and have been doing this a very long time.
