The first time I used them was on a whim when my locks were failing on a Sunday night around 8 pm. (Perfectly unlucky time). The websites of many locksmiths stated they were 24 hours, but when I called they were unable to help. Central Philadelphia locksmith actually was able to arrive in 45 minutes and take on what ended up being a significant project. They did great work that night, I later hired them for another project and even referred friends there. This has become my go to locksmith in Philadelphia. I haven't been disappointed yet.

He had to keep running back and forth to his van to find the right tools. He was not able to do the job. I do not recommend this company. Use at your own risk.

I like the fact that he called to tell me he was on his way and the time it would take to get to my house. This was important because a friend offered to drive from a great distance to sit with me until a locksmith arrived but with a short ETA, it wasn't necessary (saved my friend time and gas). Russel was friendly and worked quickly on that rainy evening to replace the lock on my security door. Unfortunately, because the lock was a deadbolt he had to drill through the key hole to remove the entire unit. Although a bit expensive, I'm very happy with the quality of service received from Jefferson Locksmith from the time I placed my call up until the end of the service call and I highly recommend them. If you lose your keys and live near or in the West Philadelphia area, ask for Russel. Thank you.

I waited less time for Matt to arrive then the time spent with the first two calls and I have to say how much I appreciate his response. I'm short older he was able to get the steering wheel unblocked which allowed my van to start but that didn't solve the problem. He removed the cylinder and for that my key had, being broke had damaged some of the 'wafers', ( internal parts ). I need a new key cylinder, except it has gotten very late in the day and I wanted to get my van home, across town. For the next hour or so he diligently disassembled the cylinder with file in hand and went to work. By the time he reinstalled it, I was back on the road. And as soon as possible I'll be seeing him again to install my new all cylinder. I appreciate his understanding that I didn't want to leave my work van overnight and that he stayed at it until I was able to leave with no hiccups. I enjoyed the conversation while he worked to reassure me he get it done and just the regular talk as time passed. Professional, considerate, nice guy stuff. Thanks again and again. I'll be him for the new lock soon.
