Reached out to this salon to see if they were capable of doing crochet maintenance on dreadlocks for Caucasian hair. I was assured that "Lisa" was able to complete this service and the individual I conversed with initially via email requested that I send her photos of my hair so that "Lisa" knew what to expect. I did as requested and awaited my appointment which was a few weeks away. Now it had admittedly been well over 9 months since my last dreadlock maintenance visit since I had recently moved from another state and was having difficulty finding someone to actually do my hair so there were spots in the back that were matted together but other than that my dreadlocks are normal locks with bumps that happen from the initial locking process and the hair being washed and shrinking ..... however Lisa stated that this was "knots" and said that my hair had been done multiple different methods in the past which is clearly untrue since I went to a designated Loctician. So when the appointment date finally came I was excited to finally have the new growth tightened up and have my hair looking good again ..... HOWEVER, that's not at all what I got!!! Instead I spent 3 hours in the chair listening to stories about other clients and conspiracy theories while Lisa who I later found out is the actual owner of the salon did a totally different method of locking to my hair and never tightened up the new growth. Early in the appointment she DID ask if she was doing it the same as my previous Loctician and I DID say yes because at that point I wasn't sure what it was she was doing and I assumed that she would go in at the end and crochet everything so it looked nice ..... boy was I wrong ..... I was charged $100 an hour for a total of $300 and I even tipped an additional $40 (paid thru Cashapp since she requested Cashapp or Venmo) because that is how I am AND I left so as not to get into a confrontation; you see I'm at a point in my life where I no longer enjoy confrontation. The next day I consulted with an ACTUAL LOCTICIAN and sent photos of before and after along with explaining what had been done and that is when I learned that the method Lisa used was interlocking as opposed to the crochet method that I initially requested and is the correct method for Caucasian hair. I requested a refund from Lisa through Cashapp and sent a text message explaining why I requested the refund. I was met with snarky replies and was blocked on both Cashapp and text messaging. I even offered to take 1/2 the blame and would have accepted a refund or $150 since I didn't speak up during the process but once again no reply which leaves me no choice but to leave reviews! I tried to handle this on a personal level but Lisa took that option away when she blocked me like a child. I will happily update this review should she decide to behave like a professional business woman and refund me as requested!! ** For anyone who ever has any service provided like this .... Do not and I repeat do not go here. Lady was rude. Blamed me for my hair looking like junk. Told me my boyfriend probably only dated me so he could get all the attention basically saying I was unattractive. I paid a ton of money and I mean a ton of money for a few hair extensions that one were not blended, 2 were unaturally thin because there wasn't enough, 3 fell out a day after I left and then she told me I had an ombré look which meant oh the fact that your roots are three inches long with grey in it is ombré so she wouldn't have to highlight my hair which I might add she wanted to charge rediculous price for. I went to Lisa afer having a bad experience with tape-in-extensions. She was able to get me in really quick for an appointment and she fixed them. However she doesn't plan to wash your hair when you go in which I found weird because you want to put extenions on really clean hair. The second time I went in to her to get new hair extensions she was really rushed on time. I didn't like feeling rushed. The day after she put them in one of the extensions on the top left side began to become unsticky in one corner and doggy earred out. I texted her about fixing it twice and she never responded. I think that is very unprofessional. I wasn't mad about the extension I just wanted it fixed and it would have taken her 15 minutes to fix. Very unhappy now that she wouldn't respond and that I have to find a new hair stylists! read more

Lisa has been doing my hair for the past two+ years. I found her after my hair was pretty badly damaged by another stylist, and she has skillfully brought it back to health, without having to cut the length or go back to my natural hair color. She is an incredible stylist and has a real knack for knowing what will look great on you. If I ask her for suggestions, she always has ideas that I end up really liking. She is devoted to her clients talking to her is always like talking to a great girlfriend. She is an expert at color, and even does very natural looking hair extensions. I won't let anyone else touch my hair, and can't recommend her highly enough!
