After receiving other quotes I chose Country Roads Exteriors and the aluminum shingles they suggested. The resulting roof is highly attractive, offers benefits of a lifetime warranty, low maintenance, better high wind resistance and greater fire resistance. Communications during the process were excellent. The process of installing the roof went very well. The promised schedule was met. The workmanship was first rate. The cleanup was complete. I had an active roof leak and needed help quickly, and their team was responsive, professional, and reassuring from the start. Juan spent an hour with me evaluating all of my various options, advising me that replacing my entire roof was in my best interest due to the leakage and poor craftsmanship of the entire roof (I had already had my roof patched a few times before). He had more members of his team take a look as well and give their opinions. Other roofers offered to patch up the hole, but once the whole roof was torn off, it was discovered, like Juan guessed, that there was more damage underneath than previously thought. The wood was rotting and the trusses were warping due to all the excess weight from two layers of roofing and long term water damage. Juan and his team replaced plywood, added additional support to the trusses and made sure the entire job was done right. Also, they provided a fair and transparent estimate, communicated clearly throughout the process, and completed the entire job in just two days! They brought out 12 guys and had two layers of my roof torn off an then replace so fast! They got it all done right before the atmospheric river came through. The quality of their work and efficiency truly exceeded my expectations. They even came out a few days later to do another inspection to make sure nothing was missed and they spray painted all pipes and hardware to make sure it matched my new black roof color. I'm very grateful for their prompt service and would highly recommend Country Roads Roofing to anyone in need of reliable, high-quality roofing work. I'm a Realtor in Portland, and recently referred a client to this company to repair a construction…read moredefect of improperly installed windows in my clients home. He had to remove the existing (old, brittle) vinyl siding, attach the windows (that were never attached to begin with) to the framing, weather seal the windows to prevent water / air intrusion, and re-install the siding without damaging anything and making it look like he'd never been there. Kevin got my clients on the schedule immediately (this past Tuesday!), did a top quality job, didn't damage the landscaping/ yard or the old existing vinyl siding, he made sure the gates were shut and locked before he left, and left my clients home just as spic-and-span clean and tidy as it was when he'd started the job. He went into the home, cleaned up the mess left from old cracked caulking that had crumbled all over the window sills and floor, cut out the old caulking and redid everything so it literally looks brand new. This is just one of many example of the opportunities I've had to work with Shamrock Group, where I've either personally utilized them, or referred other agents, clients etc to Kevin (the owner) when they're needing repairs before closing or getting ready to list their homes for sale: he literally knows how to do everything from an entire punch list of ticks tack items that needed fixes to full scale remodels to help sell their homes for top dollar. Things I love about this company: family business, does good work, fair prices, easy scheduling & payment. Until recently this company didn't even have a yelp page - I heard the patriarch of the family business wasn't quite as internet savvy as his sons, so they had no website, no yelp and no internet marketing and yet still they've been in business for years and years - now here they are on Yelp. Honestly, I hesitated to even write this review because up until now (and until they get too busy for me! lol) they've literally been my "secret weapon" in real estate transactions and absolutely my go-to when a client of mine needs something. You know how it is when you find a great restaurant with amazing service, pricing and food... you don't want it to become so popular that you can never get a table or the menu changes... that was my trepidation here, but what goes around comes around. As a real estate professional, it's great to have a family run company I know I can call led by an owner / operator who understands how time sensitive my clients needs are, seems to ask all the right questions (When can I come take a look and when do you / your clients need to get it done by?), who is flexible with scheduling, has easy payment procedures, who gets me the quotes/ info back quickly, prices his work fairly, shows up on time and does excellent work. This company has somehow figured out how to break The Iron Triangle. Again, what I REALLY should be saying here is "Go away, call someone else, find a different contractor!! Shoo!" LOL
