Every inspector I have at my home identifies more and more issues including points of failure. I was advised my Bliss roof is not up to code and has structural issues. Filing complaint with the contractor's board. Also, they fail to provide the documentation that was shown at time of signing. They legit lack integrity and the customer service when you have issues or their install goes wrong is non-existent. I've tried giving them opportunities to fix the issues but they feel I should live with the issues unless the roof leaks come winter. Not only filing complaints, but have met with an attorney. Apparently, I am not the first person to have a problem with their Bliss Roof. Beware

He said his kids had removed it over the weekend. I offered my 36‑foot ladder so he could take a look. He leaned it against my gutter, which began to bend as he climbed, so I stopped him to prevent further damage. He said he would return the next day with a technician and proper equipment to fix the gutter and inspect the skylight. He never showed up. When I called the office, I was told he would call me back, which never happened. Overall, this was an unprofessional experience, and I would not recommend this company.

Within months of them having done this the roof started leaking around the chimney and, it was noted by a contractor doing a different project on my house, that the roofers had lifted the electric roof fan, disrupting the power but did not cap the live wires. When I called Stalcup about these concerns they sent 2 guys out to tar around the chimney and completely remove the fan (a decision not discussed with me) and patch the roof. More recently, in prep to put my house up for sale a pre-inspection check revealed the roof is prematurely at end of life. I called Stalcup to request that they honor the warrantee but they declined to do this instead, they sent a salesman to offer me a bid on a 50 year warrantee roof! There are too many reputable companies out there, do not risk your roof with Stalcup.

Once he came, he showed me that the door was crooked, and other quality oversights that I was already skeptical about but didn't question from the first install. I ended up having the door re-installed by Montano Construction properly this time as well as having a storm door added and we were very happy with the results. Quality and attention to detail was really good and I feel comfortable knowing my door is not cooked and the little details regarding weather protection and structural integrity were accounted for. They also cleaned up the debris from the install. They could've charged me more considering the time it took to get everything up to their quality standard, but charged the initial quote. If you want quality work done right the first time, hire Montano Construction!
