I had to call a locksmith for the first time after getting locked out of my home, and I'm so glad I found Lock & Key Service. They responded quickly through Yelp and were just as prompt arriving in person. Serhii was professional, friendly, and efficient. He got us back into our home quickly and made what could have been a stressful situation feel easy and handled. I also appreciated the follow-up by the owner Andii, to make sure everything went smoothly. The pricing was very fair for the service provided. After receiving a few quotes in the first 15 minutes, their rate stood out as a great value for the quality, speed, and professionalism. Excellent service from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable locksmith. read more

Andrew came out and was super quick. I bought an older Audi and it only came with only one key. He literally was less than 7 minutes and I had a perfectly working spare key. I highly recommend him, he's super friendly and great communication. The best part is that he was $400 less than going to Audi. (ps he came on a Saturday too) read more

Lock & Key Service - Thanks for the fast service!!! And coming on a Saturday. - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

I locked keys in my car with engine running. First place I called not available for 1.5 hrs. 2nd place quoted $175. This place quoted $80. 2nd place is actually located in same city as where I was so it's not the distance that made the difference in price. Lock & Key said they were 25 mins away and sure enough he showed up right around 25 mins later. Took 2 mins to get my door unlocked. I paid with Zelle and so relieved it was taken care of quickly and at reasonable price. Highly recommend! read more

Andrew was amazing! He was extremely proactive at reaching out. He was on time and extremely professional. Really reasonably priced but high quality work. He changed 7 locks for us with ease. He's very nice and great would highly recommend using him. read more

Maybe its just me but hiring a locksmith to rekey my house always gives me the heebe-jeebies. Like im literally giving this complete stranger access to my house locks. I needed 2 locks (front door kwikset smart lock and security gate deadbolt) keyed alike. I did not have a key for either lock. So when Andrew showed up exactly 20 minutes after I contacted him, looking and acting completely clean cut, in a company shirt, and behaved so professionally, it was a big relief to me. His price was fair, he was super fast (seriously like 20 min for both), and did a great job. He included only 2 keys for my 2 new locks but he apologized and let me know ahead of time that he only had 2 keys left so that was fine. He accepts Venmo (and Zelle) so it could not have been smoother. I put him in my contacts and am going to keep his number for future use. read more

Lost our mail key. Quick response. At the house within two hours. Fast service! Negotiated a better rate. Friendly. Would recommend!

Andrii was quick to respond and provide a price range for the service. He ended up being very close by and was available right away! Gave me updates of timing and even got the new locks for me. (Super helpful as a single mom!) My deadbolt lock hasn't been working for months then the bottom lock started giving me issues and knew it was time to get the locks replaced. I have been putting it off - dreading to have a stranger come to my home to change the locks. But Andrii introduced himself and made the process so seamless. I was distracted with my two littles that I accidentally gave him the wrong key to have the knob+deadbolt keyed with. Luckily he had me check it before he left and fixed it in a jiffy without annoyance. I felt so bad but he assured me it was no problem! I highly recommend and will definitely use again in the future! So quick, smooth, and great price point. read more

If you're looking for a straighforward answer to getting some locks changed, then this is your guy. I had talked to 4 other places, each had different pricing schemes, if it's this lock it's $15 more, if you don't have a key its $10 more, if this that the other... Andrii (Andrew) came 30 minutes after I talked to him. No fuss, he just said "no problem". And he had the most reasonable pricing. And the work was done with care. I almost wish I had more locks to rekey! And he's a young guy working hard to build his new business. Heads down, do the work, request a reasonable fee. Done and done. I had Schlage digital keypad locks done and a french door, none are "standard" for other companies, but it was for Andrii. read more

I had two original Nissan key fobs go bad on me for reasons other than battery. I was able to leave a message with Lock & Key, and they got back to me immediately with a great quote and offered to come by and program the fobs & emergency keys in about an hour. The service was great, they explained the issue with the fobs and I also had them program and cut 2 new keys, so now I have 4. Outstanding work, I definitely recommend them. read more

I bought an old Toyota 4Runner a few months ago and I ended up losing the 1 key I had. So I have AAA but actually ended up going with Lock&Key Service mainly because Andrii said he could get the job done sooner than AAA and he offered a similar price quote. So Andrii covers all over San Diego County working as a mobile service so I found that very convenient. I was very surprised that he was at my location within 15 minutes. I'm grateful that he was able to make me 2 brand new keys on the spot so now I have a duplicate for the future and even got a key fob I purchased on eBay working for me. He was efficient and it seemed like he got the job done quick and saved me time. He informed me I can still submit my invoice to AAA for reimbursement on this service. Overall experience 10/10. It's basically in the companies name so hit this guy up for all your "Lock & Key Services"!! read more

I needed electronic keys for my car late on a Sunday night and they were actually available when most places weren't. Super communicative the whole time, showed up when they said they would, and got everything handled without any hassle. Pricing was affordable too, especially considering the late hour. I used Andril, to make a spare key for Our Honda civic and to program a fob for our Toyota prius. His service was quick and his price was fair. I needed help in a pinch and he came to the rescue and was there in 10 minutes! I've had trouble in the past with getting new keys for my commercial Ram van, and he seemed to have no issue at all. The entire process took about 10 minutes. I am extremely impressed by his skill and the service he provided. This is the guy you want in an emergency. ** I lost my keys and needed a new one made stat. He charged me $300 read more

Andrii was very communicative, kind and helpful! He was patient with me when I took some time to find some other quotes but nothing beat his price. Another bonus is that he's a mobile service so he was able to meet me during working hours. The service was very fast and efficient. It took about 30 minutes and my key issue was resolved. Will definitely be back for any future issues as I was 100% satisfied! Thank you, Andrii! read more

I had a negative experience. I asked several times whether the work could be done for the price I mentioned, but my question was never clearly answered. Instead, it felt like my messages were being ignored. Good communication is an important part of customer service, and unfortunately that was missing here. I was looking for a straightforward answer, but never received one. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. There is definitely room for improvement in communication and customer service. read more

I needed a new mailbox lock and key, so I reached out through Projects on Yelp. Lock & Key responded just as quick as everyone else. However, their quoted price was more in my price range. Andrew came over in an hour and the job took only 5-10 mins. He was quick! He didn't have the exact lock on our mailbox, but it looks great. He takes cash and cashless payments (e.g. Zelle, Venmo, etc.). Thank you again for your quick service! read more

Highly recommend! Fast, thorough work, reasonable prices & was at our house in about an hour!

I dropped my keys in the water and panicked. These guys were the first of my Google search (though I should've shopped around) and were kind of responsive-- it was 3 am but the reviews led me to believe that was fine, yet no one called me back. Once I got back in touch, Andrew showed up professional, quick and polite getting my car open and programming a new key. Thank heavens for smart guys. All in all, I really could've went to the dealership and got a real OEM key fob for the price. Crazy a $30 key fob they charge $250 for plus the breakdown of the other 'services'. $500+ isn't worth it. Just go to the dealer, they're open 7 days a week. read more

The only locksmith I will use from now on! Andrii was absolutely incredible! He responded promptly with a fair price, arrived on time, and was able to provide me with a new fob and reprogram it within 30 minutes. No up-charging, no hidden fees, the amount was exactly to as he quoted. He was also very friendly and we chatted the whole time he was reprogramming the new fob. I would highly recommend Andrii and will definitely be using his services again. read more
