I went in for milk and bread, and as I was entering the store they had an end cap of Valentines candy 50% off. I grabbed 2 bags of kit kats and a box of Welchs valentines fruit snacks that were also located on the discount rack. I went to check out and the price she told me was more than I added in my head. I then asked her if she gave me 50% off the valentines candy? She said no the welchs wasn't on sale and asked rudely where I got it? I told her they were on the same rack as all the candy and that there was a bunch of valentines Welch's over on the end cap discounted. She then said I'll take 3.50 off very rudely like I'm trying to steal these fruit snacks. I was walking out returning my cart inside the store and she followed me and then again asked me where I got those Welch's fruit snacks? I pointed to the end cap and she basically was calling me a liar. I did call the manager and he wasn't at all surprised with her behavior. I ended up looking at the receipt and she charged me full price for the Welch's fruit snacks. I guess you win some and lose some. I will never ever go back to this store again. This woman apparently needs to retire or have her working in the backroom, she shouldn't be around the public.

I shop there occasionally and they have good selection of regular food as well as organic, special diets etc. Their pharmacy could be more efficient. It's super slow and their staff are not good communicators. There were a couple of occasions when I had to return to the store because my medication was "not available yet" despite of their staff promise the day before. So taking one star off for that.

I had the misfortune of visiting this safeway when I also had the misfortune of coming to this one horse town. I bought a few items which were on the coupon clipping specials. I clipped the coupons before I arrived. At checkout the attendant purposely didn't respond to me waiving my hands and when he finally did he made faces before he walked over. Strike one. Then I tell him in a very articulate manned that I was overcharged and by how much. Again witj the eye rolling. Strike 2. Then I had to practically beg for the refund like it was some inconvenience to him or it was his $. This was at the self checkout btw so you know whom to lookout for. I will also say that while doing the refund they had to very loudly discuss the amount of the refund and the type of card used in a failed attempt to embarrass/belittle me. I need not elaborate. Anyways 3 hours later I got my refund. I'd also mention that after calling out the simple error and doing the math in my head (he needed a calculator and could barely figure it out),, he said "Dude, what do you want me to do". Um I'll just leave that there. I'm not, nor have I ever been a "dude". The rest is obvious. Next stop is corporate. Oh and I cannot in good conscience recommend that my BIPOC client move to Duvall for the safety of her family and for the safety of any semblance of her piece of mind. The inhabitants can keep this place all to themselves and wait for the meteor to hit. It can't happen too soon!

Cigarettes, drinks, ice cream, snacks and some common grocery items, even bait for fishing at nearby lakes. The owners have always been super friendly and pleasant to me. Never a line for powerball/megamillions, let the rabble stand in line at other places! I got a big kick when i bought my $1.6B MegaMillions ticket, he said "one point six PILLION!!! gonna be sick!" Of COURSE its expensive, its a convenience store!! The owners gotta make a living too, with all these hoidy-toidy $1M homes driving up real estate taxes. Free Community bulletin board out front. Always sad to see the Coyote Victim Pictures, hopeful owners grasping at straws. I've had my share.

I got a six-pack for $6.99 and had a moment of serious confusion when I looked at my super high total. (Then I saw the sticker price on the juice.) I never thought the same tomato juice that I buy all the time for less than $4 (it's $3.89 on Amazon Fresh!) could cost that much somewhere! It's a convenient market because there's not much else around there and apparently it's a decent spot to grab some beers, but... dang... that juice price is killin' me. fyi: There's a $5 minimum for paying with a card. I love tomato juice, so I'm glad that I was only in the area because of Bob's Corn Maze and that this ISN'T my neighborhood mini-mart.

Arriving at Carnation Farms, not knowing what exactly might be there, I was firstly surprised to see the classic "Carnation Farms" logo with the exact font type and the carnation flower on the cans of evaporated milk that I have seen my entire life. Wait a minute, is this THE "Carnation Farms"? Well, yes, but also a no, but also a yes. LOL. I ended up reading the historical signs and chatting with the cashier for a while (there were no other customers - zero). Carnation was indeed the dairy farm that made the now world-famous evaporated milk, created in 1899. The business grew and thrived so well that the community of Tolt was renamed to Carnation in 1917 although the name changed back and forth two more times before it stayed with Carnation. In downtown Carnation, many businesses are still named Tolt, including the Tolt River. In 1985, Nestle brought the Carnation company. In 2016, the original Stuart family purchased the name "Carnation Farms" back from Nestle. The name rights exclude diary, but they have animals and is now a venue, amongst other business ventures. We missed a local market that was on the previous day. Today, this sleepy business sells many locally made products and hosts community events such as the local market. Limited bundles of produce represented the 'farm' name poorly, if I am being honest. I asked the cashier which products in the store are actually from the current farm. She pointed to the freezer case. I chose a frozen curry goat soup from the case. It was passable, more soup than goat, i.e. not much meat. If you want to visit, check their calendar of events and go for a museum tour or one of their many events. The shop itself is less interesting.
