The Local Press is not only cute in the inside but perfect in the outside too. Plenty of seating in the front and on the side of the building. Underneath these beautiful pine trees. Dog friendly as well. Once we placed our order with the cashier, she definitely offered service with a smile! It did take a while to get our drinks and food, it's not gonna be quick like Starbucks. But that's perfectly OK because you should be in the vacation mode. The avocado toast you could add extras on it, which I did with tomatoes and feta cheese. It was so delicious. Went to Local Press expecting the same Shack Burger that was offered to the interviewer from the Top 100 Restaurants in America. What I got was a basic burger (cold btw) with approximately 1 tablespoon of the highly recommended Bourbon Bacon sauce which I was really looking forward to after seeing it on TV. It was nothing like what he was served! Very disappointed and unimpressed !!! read more

Wow, everything we ordered was PHENOMENAL! We ordered the blueberry chicken sandwich and the yolky bear burger. Loved the michelada with a unique sweetness to it. The food was prepared quickly and the customer service was on point. Only recommendation is to bring warm clothes/jacket if you're planning to eat there. Space inside is limited so be prepared just in case you need to sit outside. They also have beer... you can drink to warm up. We will be back for sure! I really wanted to like this place.... I used to go here when it was cafe blossom out of convenience but I was really hoping local press was going to be an upgrade. Unfortunately, it seems like a revived version of cafe blossom. I went in hoping to find some of the beautiful looking treats I saw on their Instagram but it was just sad, pre-packaged looking pastries. None of the flair of the pictures on the local press Instagram. Reminded me of the sad looking treats I never ordered at cafe blossom. (I would go there for coffee sometimes as I live in Twain Harte) I see local press has a menu of items made to order and perhaps if I give it one more chance, I'll try the food. Great local restaurant owned by a local family. While the burgers are really popular I usually get a salad in a wrap. They have all the great coffee flavors and alternative milks. If you follow them on IG and ever see they have GF cookies in the shop I highly recommend them! read more

This restaurant seems to have gone downhill with teens running the kitchen. My family and I used to enjoy getting breakfast before heading to play golf or to the lake, but lately, the burritos have been pretty soggy as if they are making them as fast as they possibly can. Normally, I wouldn't complain, but when you have a family of 5 and are spending amost $80 you expect food that is edible and we were all very disappointed with the egg being extremely undercooked and runny, & the potatoes raw and oily. We have been coming to the press for years, and the burritos have always been a family favorite. This also wasn't the first or second time. If the chef is not capable of making a breakfast burrito, then it may be time to find a new chef! read more

Local Press has the most delicious food we've had in the area yet! So far we've had their smooth criminal burger and their brisket sandwich and both were super good! We also had a great time when we stopped by on a Friday night and had some beers and listened to their live music. We were able to bring our dog, as well.
